Blogs for Bush was more than just a blog. During the 2004 presidential campaign, the Blogs for Bush community regularly encouraged its readers to participate in grassroots activity in support of President Bush’s reelection.

Every Wednesday during the 2004 Presidential Campaign, Blogs For Bush hosted what we called “Wictory Wednesdays,” a blog campaign that asked bloggers who supported President Bush’s reelection to encourage their readers to volunteer or donate to the campaign, and after the start of the general election (which Bush had accepted federal funding for) important Senate campaigns.
Every week on Friday we encouraged our readers to submit letters to the editor using the tools available on the Bush campaign website.
The Carnival of the Bush Bloggers
As one of the most popular political blogs of the 2004 campaign season, Blogs For Bush regularly sought to help promote other pro-Bush blogs. On a weekly basis, we asked bloggers to submit a link to one of their own blog posts, and we would post a list linking to all the submissions.
