Help Save Massachusetts

Democrat Niki Tsongas has been running false attack ads against Republican Jim Ogonowski, the candidate for Congress who is close to winning in the special election for Massachusetts' Fifth Congressional District. The Tsongas campaign conducted an internal poll not long ago, which reportedly showed the race within 5 points. Tsongas has brought in Nancy Pelosi and Bill Clinton to help keep her campaign afloat, and most recently had Ted Kennedy send out a fundraising email on behalf of her campaign shortly after it was reported that despite her overwhelming fundraising advantage and a 50,000 loan she gave to her campaign, the Ogonowski campaign had nearly as much cash-on-hand as her own.

The special election is just days away, and the Ogonowski campaign needs all the help it can get to get his message out. Please donate what you can to his campaign, and check out his latest TV commercial, posted below:

If Jim Oganowski were a Democrat, I'm guessing Ann Coulter would have a field day with him over this ad. Why not? She did it before under very similar circumstances.

So I should vote for this guy because his brother was killed on 911? (I don't have sound, so I can only go by the images.) He is pimping out personal tragedy for politcal gain worse than Ridiculous Rudy.

Aside from the ad, he has shown a grasp of the issues that Mrs. Tsongas has not. One of the issues on which he is comapaigning is illegal immigration. Tsongas supports the Kennedy/Kerry position of open borders. In addition to this she is playing hard on the fact that she is the 'widow' of former Senator Tsongas, which is pretty lame since he died over ten years ago.

Oganowski is for increased border security and sensible immigration reform without amnesty.

His message is resonating with the electorate and that's why, in this heavily democrat district, the race is a toss up.

The Boston Globe ran a puff piece on her last weekend in which they expressed an almost apoplectic fear that she would loose. They even said she must give the voters more of a reason to vote for her than the fact that she is the widow of the now deceased Senator Tsongas.

A guy names Atkins brought up Jim's brother. Atkins happens to support Tsongas and stated that John (the deceased brother) would agree with Tsongas on ILLEGAL immigration.
