The word began filitering out into the internet shortly after Matt and I posted the entry. The notariszed complaint is now on its way to the FEC, and so we'll soon see some action - from what I understand, the Clinton campaign will have 15 days to respond. It'll take them that long, at least, to figure out how to blame the Republicans for it.
Around the web there has been commentary/notice at Lucianne.com, Memorandum.com, Townhall, NRO's The Corner, The Hillary Project, Wake Up America, Michelle Malkin, and Politico. Even The Hill took notice...
Patrick Ruffini had this to say at Townhall:
On the heels of the Norman Hsu scandal, the Clinton campaign was rocked by questions of even more Hsu-like shakedowns in connection with a $380,000 fundraiser in New York which saw contributions ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 from cooks and dishwashers. At least one donor admitted to being an illegal immigrant. Another said she was illegally reimbursed for her contributions. Others said they felt pressured to give.
Unlike the Hsu cash, Hillary's campaign has yet to return the bulk of this tainted money.
This complaint brings these charges into a formal FEC process. The Clinton campaign will have 15 days to respond and publicly defend itself from charges of illegal campaign fundraising.
When lefty blogger Lane Hudson filed FEC complaints against Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani, the press couldn't get enough of the story. I expect Margolis and Noonan will get similar treatment.
While David Freddoso had this to say:
How Clinton-esque. It reminds me of the donation Clinton received in her 2000 Senate race from a now-imprisoned supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah, Abdurahman Alamoudi. No one would have blamed Clinton for taking his money (she later returned it, as did several Republican candidates) except that the campaign's bookkeepers listed him as an employee of the "American Museum Council." In fact, he worked for the "American Muslim Council," a now-defunct organization with some very controversial ties.
What Matt and I hope to accomplish here is a full airing of the truth of these stories - if Hillary Clinton has an explanation then we, the people, need to hear it...if she doesn't, then she needs to withdraw from the race as should any other candidate who has been carrying on such shennanigans. As we point out in Caucus of Corruption, the central problem of corruption in American politics is the fact that Democrats get a free ride - the truth must come out, and must come out far enough in advance of the votes for the people to decide - if the candidate hasn't got the guts to do the right thing and pull out of the race.

Thank you Matt and Mark, for doing what our gov't
agencies didn't seem to care about. I posted on your site recently regarding the "fundraising laundering", and was so totally disgusted that our
FEC, or DOJ stood by silently once again, in just
giving yet another pass to the criminal behavior of the Clintons. I have been so disgusted that I
simply couldn't get past this latest act of their criminality. I had posted everywhere I could on the topic, including the Stan Lee/PeterPaul sham that, thank God, they were fighting back on. I did try to make calls and get the fires going on this(may have sent you emails as well) but thank you again, for doing what others would not. It is
high time, that the Clinton's answered for their
'many dubious criminal acts', instead of getting the usual pass, especially from the MSM. I was even moreso disgusted with these two, when I came
across the Arkansas Mafia type behavior they were
involved in and I've moved that around as well.
I hope your involvement will sow the seeds of an investigation, that is a 'real one', and they have
to answer for finally. If this was just passed over, like all their other activities, I am afraid
that she would have 'slid sideways into the Whitehouse again, and that is so absolutely sickening, that I don't think I would Ever have much faith in our system of government again.
Thanks to you both again(even though some of the posters are bashing you-I feel you both are great
Americans,(like many of us) just trying to restore
integrity, character and morality to our country.

You know to be honest on this even if they don't stick anything on her you have to look at the number of scandals that surround the Clintons as a whole. As a private citizen if I had this many things hanging about me the FBI would probably be in my back yard watching my every move, yet Hitlery and Bill get a pass every time something like this arises. On the surface if the woman is too blank to even realize what her election staff is doing do we relly want her as a president in charge of the largest government in the world?.....Just a thought I am glad someone is willing to take this fight up. Mark and Matt I don't envy you right now cause you are stepping up to the gates of hell to confront the Devil Herself. I wish you the best of luck.

Jo and Michael,
It needs to be done - we won't clean it up until both sides are held accountable. Consider this scandal on the part of Hillary Clinton providential - as the front runner for the White House in 2008, it is altogether fitting that the strongest light be directed on her, and as the de-facto face of the Democratic party, it is appropriate that her campaign become the foundation for Democrats being held accountable - of course, Hillary would likely have it otherwise, but I think we'll be able to have an effect.
As an aside, it does seem that some citizen has to take the first step in these FEC investigations - When Matt and I found out that it would have to be someone like us doing it, we lept at the chance to do our civic duty...but we understand why, say, people more "up" in the political world were wary of making this move...first off, any senior GOP or person remotely connected to the non-Hillary camp in the Democratic party would be easily painted as just a partisan hack making a political move. Additional to that is the fact that Hillary will smear anyone who questions her...to go up against Hillary, if you are deep into electoral politics, means you are inviting a long, hard fight...
For Matt and myself, it was just a perfect fit - while we are of the right, we are in no way connected to anyone's campaign (heck, neither of us have even figured out whom we're going to support in the GOP primaries), and if Hillary wants to go dig up the fact that I was arrested once upon a time, then I hope she can tell me when it was because I forget if it was 1986 or 1987 and one wants to keep the details of one's life straight
