"The War on Terror is more than a military conflict – it is the decisive ideological struggle of the 21st century."
What a quote...
This is key. So many people are either ingnorant to this fact or knowingly turn their back on it. Either of which will reap grave consequences for future generations.
President Bush has shown the forsight and initiative to take this challenge head-on. That alone deserves the respect of so many here at this site that more often than not use slander and disrspecting remarks to comment on the man that has kept us safe for six years now.
Are his policies and actions without flaws? Of course not. But one can not refute that President Bush will go down in history as the first President who had the will to take on global terrorism even when it wasnt popular; unpopularity that was shared even among many of his equals in the global circle.
Calling the GWOT the "ideological struggle of the 21st century" also perfectly places the battle in Iraq in perspective in relation to the GWOT, and places the proper emphasis on succeeding there.
hey markie mark
the document neglects to mention the current administration has done nothing meaningful to truly protect our borders in the last 6 years. and that my friend....is where it should start. that way we won't have to worry about fighting them over there or over here. enough said.......
i'm curious....have the goofballs in congress even passed the safe skies cargo inspection act yet?????
Apparently, this leftwing kook has forgotten ...
Cleveland Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich was the only member of Congress on Monday night to vote against a symbolic resolution to recognize September 11 as a day of remembrance, extend sympathies to those who lost their lives and their families and honor emergency workers and the U.S. armed forces.
And here he is again on Syrian tv, of all places:

I am deeply moved on this anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11. Perhaps if President Clinton could have stopped fornicating for a moment in 1993 after the first attack, he could have done something. But no. Now President Bush is fighting the long war. No one likes it. But it is the only way. I was a life-long liberal, but no more. Now I proudly support the Republican cause. If you need help breaking the yoke of libralism, contact me. Together we will fight against liberals and other weak minded people. Thank you. Larry Triesch.
Tonight, from my backyard in Fairfield, NJ, I can see the spotlight beams from ground zero in NYC, shooting into the night sky. My first thought is, thank God George W. Bush has been our president all these years. My second thought was that we have not been attacked again in 6 years. Don't everyone thank President George W. Bush all at once.

Don't expect thanks from these troll-pukes, James. If President Bush produced the dead bodies of OBL, Zawahiri, and Mookie Al-Sadr tomorrow, their response would be, "It took you long enough, and now you've really pissed off the rest of the terrorists. We're less safe today than we were yesterday."
On the other hand, if President Bush were to propose diplomatic relations with bin Laden, Mullah Omar, and the rest of these pigs, the Donkaroaches would sing his praises. Well, probably not--they'd say, "It's about time you listened to our way of thinking; for putting it off this long, we're gonna get Conyers to draft up those impeachment articles right away."
These guys won't be happy until Bush is out of office, no matter what else happens...
