Deists believe in a God.
They also beleive no man or group of men can divine the will of God, so they do not beleive in religion.

Most of the founding fathers of this formerly great nation were Deists.

Didn't Ronald Reagan also rarely attend church, even though he had religious convictions?

Fred is sounding more like Reagan all the time. I hope the substance matches the sounds - because another Reagan is what we need. Strong beliefs, strong values, great communicator, willing to stand by his/her beliefs not follow the latest poll numbers.

Going to church does not make one virtuous, moral or ethical. There are many a hyprocrite that sets in the front pew of churches each week. One knows the values of a person by the way they live their lives and treat their fellow man. So, I am glad that Thompson is being honest about who he really is, and does not feel that he needs to put on a show of attending church each Sunday to pull in the votes. Of course, he is going to criticized by many for not being the Christian they want him to be. I suspect a number of things about Fred will come out between now and the time the voting begins, and many are going to be disappointed in what they learn about him.

So, you attend church--how nice. And it's "sits," not "sets." People sit; the sun sets. Oh, that's right--you're sunny. You must "set" in church.

I suspect a number of things about Fred will come out between now and the time the voting begins, and many are going to be disappointed in what they learn about him.

I suspect a number of things about Her Thighness/Ubama will come out between now and the time the voting begins, and many of you brain-dead lemmings will ignore the facts and praise your idols anyway...

Religiosity and the soul-selling that accompanies running for political office are incompatible.
