President Bush on Iraq

Sorry so late about this guys, but I had a Church thing to do:

The changes in Anbar show all Iraqis what becomes possible when extremists are driven out. They show al Qaeda that it cannot count on popular support, even in a province its leaders once declared their home base. And they show the world that ordinary people in the Middle East want the same things for their children that we want for ours -- a decent life and a peaceful future.

In Anbar, the enemy remains active and deadly. Earlier today, one of the brave tribal sheikhs who helped lead the revolt against al Qaeda was murdered. In response, a fellow Sunni leader declared: "We are determined to strike back and continue our work." And as they do, they can count on the continued support of the United States.

That, in the end, is the whole point to the affair - allowing average people of the middle east to choose, and betting that they will choose peace, freedom and prosperity over war, slavery and poverty.

As President Bush pointed out - and has always pointed out, right from the start - this is a long, hard struggle. There are no quick fixes, there is no magic bullet which will make everything better. We have to battle on and on and on using a variety of means to gain our ends - a world in which the use of terrorism for political purposes is unknown.

God bless our troops and their families - and God bless President Bush who has shown sublime courage in the face of incredible adversity.

President Bush needs to give these speeches every single month.

What's with the Democrat rebuttals (i.e. surrender speeches) after every single speech? Isn't that reserved for the State of the Union?

President Bush gave a great speech tonight. I have great admiration for this man, his leadership, courage, integrity, honesty and his strength of character. Under the nonstop drumbeat of defeatism by the left and lib media, President Bush continues to do the right thing. We are living in historical times folks. Thank God President Bush found his General Grant. God bless our brave troops, the Iraqi people and President George W. Bush, the greatest president in american history.

"Thank God President Bush found his General Grant." - James Allegro

Amen! We must WIN in Iraq!

"God bless our brave troops, the Iraqi people and President George W. Bush..."

Amen, again!

Sunni leader declared: "We are determined to strike back

Eye? Eye. Check.

Tooth? Tooth. Check.

Sunni? Shia. Check.

Repeat ad nauseum.

...this is a long, hard struggle. There are no quick fixes, there is no magic bullet which will make everything better.

Gosh, all the Donkaroach troll pukes must be sleeping off whatever chemicals they ingested last night. Where's the usual "six-to-eight week war, greeted as liberators, only gonna cost 50 billion" tripe?

Broder, I believe the Sunni leader was referring to AQ when he said that "we are determined to strike back."

Is stupidity a prerequisite with you "progressives," or were you born that way?

Have been out of the country for several weeks, and see the same Donks, are still throwing the Sh*t against the wall, to see what will stick. Sad

Someone should put a muzzle on Reid, and the latest smear campaign against Gen. Patraeus by the NY Slime, is shameful. Seeing Hillary, do a dog and pony show for the cameras, and calling the General a "liar in essence, is laughable"..Her
above ALL people, who has so many skeletons in her
closet, not the least of which is dubious fund raising(that she will return-ha) Should THIS woman, have ANYTHING to say about anyone else in the world, after her/Bill's inept 8 years, where all Americans were put in harms' way, by their lack of handling TERRORISM, THAT WAS OCCURRING ON A REGULAR BASIS?

Since the MSM protects HER, and did their best to sweep ALL HER dirty deeds under the carpet, isn't it about time, that someone in the Press shows some balls, and exposes this woman, for the power/money monger both SHE and Bill really ARE?

We're waiting......

She is in bed? with the gang at MoveOn.org, and the midget Soros, who also has this, and many other dummy organizations that need looking into.
Where is the DOJ on all this??? Just asking....

While it is common knowledge, that Hillary AND Bill HATED the military, and still do, as shown by her outrageous insinuations of Gen. Patraeus, does this woman have NO shame at all? SHE DOES NOT, AND WOULD DO ANYTHING SHE CAN, TO BE IN THE WHITEHOUSE AGAIN. Both she and Bill, ARE Politcal Whores, plain and simple.

As President Bush pointed out - and has always pointed out, right from the start - this is a long, hard struggle.

"Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties." —President Bush, discussing the Iraq war with Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson

Long hard struggle? Go to the blog Last of Iraqis, scroll thyself down and read Mohammed's comments. He doesn't want our troops to leave, but he doesn't have the Noonan/USA F**k Yeah be-true-to-your-school-rah-rah stuff I read here. This Mohammed guy actually lives in Iraq and, uh, you don't, Noonan.

Writing "God Bless the Troops" doesn't give most of us very much confidence anymore. Think of it as a faded ribbon magnet where the letters are long gone. Every time your promises don't come true, you guys keep moving the goalpost. That's called "cheating" and it's kryptonite to troop morale.

Bush? From the NYT but no less true: "He's an easy fellow; he looks like a terrific bloke to have a drink with or have a barbecue with," said Matt Price, a political columnist for The Australian, a national newspaper. "I think people are really schizoid about this visit. Australians really appreciate the American alliance, and we love America. But Bush is -- he's damaged goods."

Congressive:
Mourners vowed revenge and perseverance Friday at the funeral of the leader of the Sunni Arab revolt against al-Qaida militants who was assassinated just 10 days after meeting with President Bush in Iraq's Anbar province.

Do you have a problem with revenge AGAINST Al-Qaida???? I don't.

Posted by: kimberly4bush [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 14, 2007 12:35 PM

Actually Congressive - they will respond against Al Queda, which is also Sunni. I though you knew that?

I think all of you Pacaturds who think the "return on success" is a new strategy as defined by Petreaus are ill infomred. We had to reduce troops to pre-surge levels or extend already over extended troops. Something the military says is out of the question. Bush knows he is a failure and all of you Pacaturds get your head out of the sand and see it too.

Please don't ban me. I think Donkaroaches is equal to Pacaturds, No?

Do you have a problem with revenge AGAINST Al-Qaida???? I don't.

Of course he does, kimberly--that's why he's never
spoken out about Slicky Blue Dress' failure to ever respond to numerous attacks on Americans throught the globe from 1993-2001.

Don't worry, catatonicgene--you won't get banned for that, although there's a reason for my nickname. Figure it out, and get back to me. Or don't. I couldn't care less...

Neorads rarely, if ever, speak out against their beloved Clinton. Blech!

AQ is screwing up major time over in Iraq. With the murder of the Sunni leader and the beheading of women and children in a small village this week, those who admire the murdering scum will have a change of heart and a chance at peace.
