Democratic Fundraiser Skips Bail

Hey, at least when our guys have a court date, they show up:

Disgraced Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu was a wanted man again after he failed to show up for a court date Wednesday and a judge issued a new warrant for his arrest.

Hsu, whose criminal past has roiled the campaigns of top presidential candidates, was scheduled to ask a judge to cut in half the $2 million bail he posted last week when he turned himself in after spending 15 years on the lam from a felony theft conviction.

Instead, San Mateo Superior Court Judge Robert Foiles ordered Hsu's bail forfeited to the county and issued a new arrest warrant. If Hsu is arrested again, he will be jailed without bail this time.

Hsu, a Hong Kong native, was also supposed to turn over his passport Wednesday. Hsu's prominent Silicon Valley criminal defense attorney Jim Brosnahan said Hsu failed to give the passport to the legal team on Monday.

His hope, of course, is that Hillary will win and get him a pardon - just as all those other crooks got pardoned by Bill Clinton. Must be nice to be a Democrat - the law doesn't matter much to you.

Given the plethora of books about Hillary, Matt and I decided to eschew her oft-told tale in Caucus of Corruption - she makes a few dishonorable mentions (as does Bill), but we wanted to demonstrate that Clintonite corruption is not a one-off; in fact, the Clinton's have plenty of competition fo the title of "Most Corrupt Democrat" (Nancy is really giving them a run for their dirty money...heh). But I would like to point out that Mr. Hsu is only one of very many men from China who are intertwined with the Clintons in the matter of campaign cash - one does begin to wonder if the Chinese are buying a quid pro quo?

It is these sorts of questions which we won't get answered until Democrats - rank and file, frothing-at-the-mouth Bush-haters - start to stand up and demand accountability. Until the Democratic base stops giving Democratic leaders a free ride as long as they vote the right way, the corruption endemic to the Democratic party will not be cured.

The GOP is cleaning its own house...if the Democrats don't do something quick, then they really will be the Party of Corruption.

Yep, in the great tradition of Marc Rich, John Huong, and Charlie Trie.

They say you are known by the company you keep.

The company the Clintons keep would make Al Capone bow to them in reverence.

Maybe Hsu's in Fort Marcy Park...

Maybe Hsu's in Fort Marcy Park...

If so, can we bring back Ken Starr to investigate?

Not that it would do much good. Starr's part of the Foster investigation didn't reveal much of anything that Fiske's did. But it would be fun to watch the Dems go batty (or even battier as the case might be) as their old nemesis returns.

Hey, if the Dems (or at least their campaign donors) insist on reliving the 90's, so can we.

Just a second. This guy has ALWAYS been a crook. So, there is no hypocrisy involved. Move along....

Where are the resident dems to rebut Mark? Searching their talking points? Or do they realize that their party, despite their rhetoric, is truly the one with corruption problems?

Media is missing another Hillary's connection to an Iranian group.
Hillary is very popular within certain Iranian group. Every-time she visits California, she attends at least 2 fundraising by this group. You may want to check her connection to Gati Kashani, Hassan Nemazee...these people belong to a group that are very sympathetic to Mullahs' regime.

Here is a couple of blogs I could find out,

Poll: Is Hsu

1. Dead and buried in Hillary's back yard?

2. Dusting off his Red Chinese Army uniform in Beijing?

3. Back to soliciting funds for Hillary under an assumed name?

Republicans cleaning house?

Haven't you heard, Craig isn't going anywhere and Vitter was never asked to leave.

Interesting.

ZeroBalls, Vitter didn't run on a family values platform, and what happened to your party's "what people do in private is their business" philosophy? I've heard this b/s so many times whenever Slicky Blue Dress' affairs were brought up.

Double standards, huh, Zeroballs?

All this proves is the average Democrat is on target again. We have been say over and over again the recently passed Democrat campaign reform did not go far enough.

Public financing of Federal campaigns would end most of this influence peddling. Start a lottery for the money. But republicans say no, our tax dollars should not go to insure non-corrupt elections in the U.S. But in the next breath Republicans say if it means free elections in Iraq, I am all for using my tax dollars for that purpose.

Kiefer-

You are not serious about Vitter. He certainly did campaign on family values. Vitter bashed Clinton for Monica and ran under the banner of values. Yet, he was banging whores at the time.

Sleepygene-

Not only has our resisdent retard forgotten that Vitter campaigned on a "family values" platform, Kiefer also seems to forget that cheating on your wife is bad but paying money to "bang whores" is ILLEGAL.

Posted by: TheMarkOfZero [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 6, 2007 11:58 AM

Zero,

And what you don't understand is that Vitter has asked for our forgiveness for his sins - as Christians, we must instantly and without question grant such forgiveness. Unless you have some evidence that he's committing sins of that nature AFTER his confession, then there's really nothing more to be said on the subject.

Posted by: Mark Noonan [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 6, 2007 12:26 PM

Mark-
Oh there's a lot to be said on the subject.
What you seem to forget is that Christian morality, at least regarding "forgiveness" ,has very little to do with the workings of legal system. Just saying I'm very sorry and promising never to be a "naughty, bad, dirty boy" again doesn't carry much weight when you've already broken the law. If that were the case then prison would be meaningless.

Now Vitter "apologizing" for being a major hypocrite, also for that matter Craig falsely "apologizing", may be all you need to give them a pass, but the law doesn't work that way.

It is funny how you can turn that blanket forgiveness statute on and off at will though. Looks like it all hinges on there being a D or an R before your name.

Mark you better clasp those hands together and work out those "forgivin' muscles" because I have a funny feeling that in the next year we'll be hearing about more "bad, dirty, naughty, boys" from the right side of the isle.

Mark the Zero,

Geez, all that and not one single word about Hsu. Big shock you flippin hypocrite.

GOP 4 ME-

If Hsu is guilty then he should go to jail.....period. Case closed.

Shocked?

I don't see Clinton or the Dems rushing to his defense. He's not operating in the Democratic Party any longer and that's exactly what should happen.
In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't Clinton donate all the money he gave her to a charity?

As much as Mark and Matt may wish to fan this into the scandal of the century it's rather legless as a news story.
