Could it be? Could the people of Massachussetts be waking up?

This wouldn't be just a GOP pick-up for MA, I suspect it would have repercussions throughout New England.

But still, I have to ask: What in your opinion is the difference between a moderate Republican and a RINO?

May the best candidate win. Quality trumps party affiliation every time.

Thrower: Quality trumps party affiliation every time.

I don't know you, but I have to say... oh please. You're not really that naive, are you?

Guilty as charged Rico. Any scholarly ranking of presidents always includes Republicans and Democrats at the high end. Any legitimate evaluation of legislators always reveals quality and mediocrity in both parties. Despite the assertions of the the hosts of this blog, corruption of both the obvious and subtle sort are rife in both parties.

There have been both Republicans and Democrats in my lifetime that I have respected and valued as great Americans. I make it a point to vote for them when I have the chance. While I have only worked actively in campaigns for Republicans, I have given money somewhat equally to candidates of both parties based on the quality of their character and the substance of their positions.

Party domination over the national government produced a welfare state that far outlived its usefulness under Democrats, and a tax cut mania that is inconsistent with any true sense of responsibility under Republicans. If these beliefs are naive, you nailed me.
