Mark, she's not an illegal immigrant--she's an "undocumented citizen."
Just ask Harry Reid-tard...lol
while I do hold the same position as you on imigration, I have to say that activist do not have to go through the channels you suggest in order to be an activist. You do not have to be an advocate to be an activist that is.
ac·tiv·ism
n. The use of direct, often confrontational action, such as a demonstration or strike, in opposition to or support of a cause.
Mark,
Correct me if I7m wrong, but weren’t you cheerleading making her legal through the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” not two months ago? Sure, making 12-20 million law breakers legal would cost Americans jobs, but the Dow might hit 20,000…And that’s good for America…well, rich Americans anyway.
Keefer Madness,
It would seem that your “Reid-tard” comment would also seem to have to apply to the President. This issue was brought up by Bush in 2006, not by Harry Reid. Being that you slander Harry Reid, I suppose to remain consistent you also slander the President. So, either you are saying slanderous comments towards the President, and thereby hate America, or you are an inconsistent hack.
Why do you hate our President because of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform?” Why do you hate freedom? Why do you hate America?
The elite (and that's folks on both sides of the political spectrum, despite keefer's juvenile rant above) like to portray anti-illegal immigrant sentiment as anti-immigrant. Actually I would be okay for a one-time amnesty for illegals who are here and established, but we already tried that in 1986 and it was never enforced. It wouldn't be enforced again and we all know it
WTF! She'd taken a job with an airline! Who the hell was doing the BGS on this beeyotch anyhow??
"She is ready to continue the struggle against the separation of families from the other side of the border."
Yeah, keep fighting, but 10-1 says she'll be back at her new home within a month, with a new ID, food stamps. and a job cleaning floors at Obama's swamp....LOL!
Why she thought she should stay is beyond me. She broke the law getting here, she broke the law to work here, and she continued to break the law by defying the order to leave. Just because she had a child here should not alliviate the the fact that she is thumbing her nose at the authorities. My question - where is the father of the boy?
Gaijin,
I did, and do, support the comprehensive immigration reform bill, now deceased. But my point here is the media bias - she's not an "immigration advocate"; she's an illegal immigrant.
And, additionally, I disagree with the lady and her supporters - she advocates what amounts to open borders and instant citizenship; I'm in favor of strong border security and only being a citizen after full assimilation.
"I'm in favor of strong border security and only being a citizen after full assimilation."
-Mark Noonan-
Well for once we can agree on something. Hold on, I have to check something...
...Yeah, it's offical, Hell has frozen over!
I have a question for you though: Do you really trust Bush and this Congress to enforce a strong border? It's been almost 6 years since 9/11, and anyone with a couple of bottles of water and able of making a two day hike can hop a fence into this country. To my knowledge, they haven't really started building the fence that they approved last year. I think the rushed, flawed bill that is "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" is going to create more problems than solutions. For your average person anyway, Wall Street on other hand would make a killing.
Peace, Gaijin
This case is just another one, in which the people
who DON'T want to follow our laws, try to cirumvent them, and get Cardinal Mahoney, and the Priest who gave this woman santuary in his church to become involved. There is NO respect for our country, as people feel they WANT to be here, so it is okay. It IS NOT. You need to do what many others have done: APPLY FOR LEGAL CITIZENSHIP, AND
WAIT FOR THAT PROCESS TO BE COMPLETED. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE CLOSE GEOGRAPHICALLY, DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN JUST COME HERE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO.
When we have clergy who want us to "look the other
way, for their particular "illegal they want to stay", that just won't wash. They, should be held
accountable for aiding and abetting those who break the laws of our country. Just try to infiltrate into Mexico, and see what happens to you. Might I remind you all, of the Americans who
had 30 minutes to "clear out of their retirement homes, and leave with what they could put into the
car, and vacate, 'ALL THE WHILE THE SOLDIERS HELD AK47'S OVER THEIR SHOULDERS. This, is also, how Mexico protects their "Southern Borders(unless the
person/persons is willing to pay $$$ to the corrupt people that guard that border=it is a pass
if they can pay".
Another question: With regard to this woman being here illegally, why so many bleeding hearts, about
separating her from her family=Couldn't she have taken her son back with her and therefore NOT BE SEPARATED FROM HIM? This is another ploy, to try
to have people feel sorry for "separation of family=If they didn't come here like they do, they
wouldn't be separated in the first place".
Our laws are not enforced, or abided by, so why do
we believe letting these people here in droves, is
somehow going to make them magically abide by any laws in the future and curb any NEW ILLEGALS FROM ENTERING.....IT WON'T.
lol... you do realize that the first line of the article mentions the legal status of the activist, right? How does one's legal status preclude that person from being an activist? Are you arguing that being an "activist" does not entail breaking the law? If so, then I can find a few black people who sat at white-only lunch counters in the 1950's and '60's who would tend to disagree... So, why not mention her legal status in the headline? Two reasons: a.) mentioning that an illegal immigrant got deported is hardly news and b.) space constraints.
This is just more of Mark being the boy who cried Media Bias. He goes off on so many imagined instances of bias that when he actually finds one, smart people will be hesitant to believe him...
I have to agree with Rana. This is "the boy who cried Media Bias." "Immigration advocate" is not to be found any where in the article. I hate to argue semantics, but in this case he's implying a meaning to the article that just isn't there.
I have to give you one Mark, that is a misleading headline.
Why do you hate our President because of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform?”
I don't, foreigner; I disagreed with President Bush's immigration stance. Harry Reid-tard got his name for a lot more than just immigration reform. I penned that name for him a long time ago. Pay attention, asshat.
Why do you hate freedom?
I don't, jerk; that woman was free to apply to come here legally, as she was free to come here illegally, and get deported.
Why do you hate America?
I don't, d*ckweed; I just hate seminar-blogger troll pukes, and libs who suffer from BDS. You qualify on both counts. Got a problem with it? Tough...
The latest is that she claims the US broke the law first by...
her it is....
PERMITTING HER TO BREAK THE LAW!!!
Now that is twisted liberal logic if I ever heard it. I hope the dems make a media star of her over the next year. I want to see her every day from now until election time.
Perhaps then will all the fence sitters see how absurd it would be to open our borders and grant a pathway to citizenship to these illegals.
