Chief Justice John Roberts Released From Hospital
Chief Justice John Roberts walked out of a hospital in Maine Tuesday, released a day after he suffered a seizure. The White House said he told President Bush he was doing fine.
Roberts strode briskly out of the Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport, Maine, wearing a blue sport coat, open collar shirt and slacks. He waved to onlookers before getting into a waiting sports utility vehicle.
The chief justice, 52, plans to continue his summer vacation, Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said. She said that doctors found no cause for concern after evaluating Roberts.
Roberts was hospitalized after he fell on a dock near his summer home on Hupper Island, near Port Clyde, Maine. He had a prior unexplained seizure in 1993. Bush had called Roberts earlier Tuesday, and press secretary Tony Snow said that the president was assured the chief justice was doing well.
Snow said that Roberts "sounded like he was in great spirits."

Hey, did anyone check out any of the kook blogs when news of Chief Roberts hit the streets? Were they praying for his demise?
Looks like Chief Roberts will be fit to return to the bench. Now it looks like you seminar-blogger trolls will have to call for Bush's impeachment for hiding Roberts' past seizures from you, huh? Oh well, back to Stevens and Gonzales for ya. Bwahahahahahaha!!!

Crooksandliars and a posting on it. They deleted anything really nasty very quickly.
Let's hope Judge Roberts has a nice healthy vacation.

Wonkette had something on there about crossing your fingers for death, but clearly that is a wholly satirical website. I hope Roberts is fine and it seems he should be. He is lucky he did not smack is cocanut harder.

I wonder if Limbaugh will give us a demonstration to show us the difference between Parkinsons and a grand mal seizure?

My friend had a similar seizure a couple years ago. A la Georgia Law, she couldn't drive for six months... she figured out that it was her meds that caused it and promptly ceased taking them. Because she refused to take the medicine prescribed to her by a doctor (probably hopped up on Pharma-samples), he license was suspended for another six months, but she hasn't had a seizure since.
I wonder if Roberts' driving privileges will be curtailed because of this (I don't know what the laws are like in DC or Maine). Either way, it's good that he's alright.

I wonder if plainjane posts elsewhere as a muddy cat? The snideness, the failed effort to appear witty, and the total lack of content do sound familiar........
