Do you want Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to force American defeat in Iraq?
And what is there to win Mark? What is your plan? Its a fact that the majority of violence in Iraq is sectarian violence not caused by Al Queda. Explain to me how you are going to magically solve all of the complex social and political problems by a continued occupation. If it hasn't worked in the past 4 years what makes you think it will work between now and September. They aren't forcing defeat - they are informing Bush that there is nothing to win.
Do you want the likes of Michael Moore and Sean Penn shouting with delight as we retreat shamefaced out of Iraq?
Hell yeah..
Do you want the terrorists of al Qaeda and other organizations sharpening their knives for us here at home after they chase us out of Iraq?
Umm. Hey Marko - did you miss the report that came out that said despite the Bush doctrine Al Queda is back to pre-9/11 strength. Good going. 7 years and Al Queda is as strong as they were before we went to Afghanistan and "brought the war" to them. To boot our own intelligence agencies say that the threat of terrorism and terrorists attack are INCREASED because of the Bush doctrine . HE FAILED - accept it

How long can America last while our liberal enemies talk trash and consistantly commit treason?!!! It's high time to start treating our liberal enemies like the treasoner they are,and start think about serious criminal charges for PRUPOSELY WEAKENING AMERICA BY CONSISTENTLY talking trash(ie. COMMITTING TREASON!!!)How stupid do you have to be to nut understand that President George W. Bush is probaly the only reason more, ifnot most of us is,or will be, dead from terrorist attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mark,
I can't support you on this, because my vets (my daughters), disagree with your vets. They want to see out of Iraq as soon as possible. That said, I am proud of those who have served regardless of their politics.

rick4bush,
Be careful who you are calling traitors. My daughters, between them, served 13 years in the army for this country, of which 42 months was in a war zone. I think they have earned the right to disagree.

God bless Vets for Freedom's efforts! Thank God there are people willing to stand up for America! Thank God there are Americans who want to WIN the war in Iraq to establish freedom and democracy in the Middle East and to prevent the inevitable genocide and regional wars which would result from the Democrats' (plus 4 RINO's) plan of surrender.

Why do you constantly say we "hate the military" or we "don't support the troops" when we talk of getting our troops out of Iraq so they can be safe.
How many lives are you willing to sacrifice so as not to appear we are "hanging our heads in shame" and retreating?
What if we continue like this for years with no progress? At what number of lives sacrificed would you be willing to say is enough?
Please, giive me a number. I'm curious.

I don't think it would be wise to take the advice from someone who thinks I'm a traitor for not going along with Bush. That is just your Republican way of thinking.

Hey Mark
Did you hear....blah...blah...puke? My ears are bleeding.
If we could catalog the BS that is spewed from the mouths of the kook libs here at B4B, we'd have enough to re-write the Bible.
The funniest part is they actually think they're having an affect on conservatives....snicker...snicker. Let em' talk, let em' talk, it's having an adverse affect, so keep it up, it strengthens our base, and our resolve.
Talk about dillusions of grandeur. The only thing they're good at is making me not want to come back here, ennt...wrong, but only because they are so wildy dillusional.
Honestly, it's like listening to little kids bickering over who's got the most marbles; especially Cyberactress, who thinks she's some literary genius that's only motivated by Forgetmeknocht's phony laughter(what's with the German name yahoo?), or Dr. Nimrod, who hasn't started a sentence with a capital letter yet.
Well when it comes to marbles, I'd bet a Morton's Steak (for you intellectual thoroughbreds, Dr. Nimrod, BEl, TL and Rockville, 3MY, that's a high-end steak house most of you couldn't afford to eat at unless you saved up four or five unemployment checks) that when most normal people (such as conservatives) read your posts, they're--not there, or their Dr. Nimrod--not impressed and see you pendejos as little girls sticking their tongues out at each other going neenier..neenier...neenier!
Which brings me to my final conclusion then off to bed in my multi-million dollar home on my own lake, with my boat twenty feet from the back door (yeah what a sh*ty economy) and my oldest grandson fast asleep, dreaming about waterskiing behind our brand new Nautique that GW's tax cuts bought for us....thanx GW!!
Yeah life really sucks...maybe for those of you that have never strived for anything...Cyber, Dr. Nimrod and the others that all claim to be older than they really are.....losers, as if we can't tell, if not by your writing skills, then by your childish underlying emotional tone that rings of 16....3MY.
Just listen to yourself once in a while and there's a chance--not a very good one though-- that you'll want to tone down the rhetoric and write in a way that isn't always seeking a win, because frankly, most of us here at B4B are old enough to have heard it all before, and there is NO differnece between a person with a mental disorder at an institution and some of you kooks.
In closing, sorry for the arrogance to my conservative friends, but I just needed to stick it in and twist a bit tonight.
Good nite all...and remember, "nuke em' till they glow n' shoot em' in the dark." Our old DOE mantra.
I can only imagine the grief I'll read tomorrow....LOL!

You AGAIN call us fascist. Yet YOUR party is the one with innocent American baby blood on its hands. YOUR party seeks to disarm the populace. YOUR party seeks to stifle opposition speech (Fox and talk radio). Maybe this is some stange new useage of the word fascist we were previously unaware of.
Hey, maybe your party could shoot into or firebomb some MORE Republican offices? Maybe slash the tires on some MORE trucks? That would prove that we're the violent and hate filled ones wouldn't it?

Mortons is a resturant that people who don't have much dining experience go to because they don't know any better. They assume that since an average meal ticket for 2 people (not counting drinks) is close to $100.00 that it has to be good. Well, for the same price there are vastly better steakhouses in the major cities where Mortons' are located. Mortons is a chain resturant and I'm sure you are familar with chains.
Now did I say that money was bad? No, I said it was not impressive and those who brag that they have it generally do not. Those that do have it and brag about it have no class. And those very few amoungst us who live in multi-million dollar homes draw the least bit of attention to it, especially in a bottom feeder blog such as this. More than likely Captain Ahab has a FEMA trailer by a farm pond.

Navydad,
Man, you're going to have to do something great for the less fortunate to get around that litany!
:o)
Anyways, it does get rather tiresome, at times, to debate our liberal/left friends. Here at B4B we do attract a higher quality of leftist, but there's still that mind-numbing aspect of all leftwing thinking which makes debate a challenge.
Posted by: Mark Noonan at July 14, 2007 03:58 AM
Actually, in counterpoise to navydad, let me say this:
I live in a fairly common - though nearly new - middle class house; I put in, grudgingly, a 40 hour week, as does my wife. We've got plenty of vacation time we take full advantage of, and as we both work 4, 10 hour days, we've got three days a week off each week. Both of us work hard in the sense that we do more than our jobs demand of us, but its not like we're really broken-backed at the end of the day.
In return for this rather moderate amount of work, we've got two cars, two computers, three televisions, a really cool stereo, an exceptionally well-decorated house (courtesy of the Mrs, who should turn professional in interior decorating), granite counter tops, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, professionally landscaped front and back yards, jacuzzi, a master bathroom nearly as big as an apartment I rented when I was a youngster, various custom-made items around the house (couch, eg)...this is America; a place where even the only moderately hard working can live better than kings did 100 years ago.
None of that, of course, is important - its great to have, but if it all burnt up tomorrow, then it is a matter of, "the Lord gave, the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord".
The problem with you liberals out there is that you are entirely hung up on material matters - nothing scares you more than death; nothing makes you angrier than the thought that someone has more than another. As a conservative, I fear death - but I don't let this fear rule my life - I'm not forever fretting about what might kill me, and how we might regulate ourselves into perfect safety. As a conservative, I don't give a rat's patoot who has more or who has less - in all cases, you can't take it with you. The rich man won't carry his wealth into the life of the world to come, the poor man won't carry his poverty - and it is that life of the world to come which is the central fact of life here on earth; and our job, as it were, is to help each other to become good people...good poor people, good rich people; it doesn't matter - just good people.
Because of this attitude, we don't count the money spent in Iraq - its only money, and if we can help some people out, then it is money well spent. We don't count the lives spent in Iraq, either - everyone must die, and if we can help people in this world to have more justice, peace and liberty in their lives, then it is lives well spent in achieving it.
Grow up, stand up - fear God and dread nought; do the right thing, today, for someone near you and cease and desist your morbid worries about who has most, or about how bad you think President Bush is. You've got your duties of today; yesterday doesn't matter anymore as it can't be changed, and no man is promised tomorrow.
Posted by: Mark Noonan at July 14, 2007 04:14 AM
Casper,
With all due respect to your daughters; all of you are wrong. There's a fight going on and we can win it or we can lose it, and the price of losing will always be higher than the price of winning.
The troops - veterans of this conflict - are asking for your help in seeing to it that, at the least, the surge strategy is given a full try (ie, until at least September). Will you abandon your daughters' recent comrades in arms, or will you and your daughters step up and do the right thing?
Posted by: Mark Noonan at July 14, 2007 04:17 AM
I've given serious consideration to this cause, and on balance there was one sentence that happens to be also in that quote Mark made that eventually made my mind up:
The information battle Vets for Freedom was planning for September is upon us in July, therefore we must adapt, overcome, and do something immediately.
This, to me, says that the demonstration they are planning is purely partisan. I have already gone on record here as saying I believe General Petreaus should be allowed unimpeded time up to September to continue his plan, and a decision should be made then - but this one key quote shows that the organizers had no intention of actually looking at the situation in September; they were planning this demonstration regardless. That's provocative, deliberately so, a chance for otherwise sensibel Americans to shout at one another, call one another unpatriotic and traitors, and generally behave like schoolchildren.
So on balance, no, I won't be donating to this cause, and I won't be trying to take time off from work to go there. But I don't believe that this makes me a traitor, or a coward, or any of the other names being flung around. I assess, and I act. This is an event that was going to take place whether the news was good OR bad, and as such shows a bias I won't support.

Do any of you people actually realize what it means to have Habeas corpus taken away from you? But more disturbing, do any of you people actually realize that your nation is finding comfort in it? What if it was all a lie and 9/11 was perpetrated by your government, to generate support for these wars? Now I detract that question. One thing is for certain however, you better support the right ethics or your country is in for a whole lot of pain from itself.

Casper,
I have a question for you that most likely, only a parent can ask: When your daughters (who BTW are true heros in my book and I hope they are safe) went off to war, did you say to yourself "I hope they come back victorious and alive"? Or did you say to yourself "I hope they come back alive...period"? I'm curious, because, when my Son entered the Navy (as a volunteer), we weren't in war time, but when he was deployed after 911, I wanted him (even though it wasn't my place to say anything) to be part of a winning team that would help save America from those that want to kill us.
What I found after he left the Navy was that he was proud to be part of a winning team and that even if something had happened to him, that he wanted me to be proud also.
BTW, there were many times that he questioned the mission--to me--but he was always a loyal soldier.

Mark,
With all due respect to you and the troops that are planning this protest, you are the ones that are wrong this time.
First. Neither of us speak for "the troops" because the troops don't speak with one voice. I know veterans of this conflict that come down strongly for staying and many that want us to leave.
Second. Regardless of what congress does at this point, the surge will continue through September. We are already half way through July. The only person in the world that could stop the surge at this point is President Bush. I'm more worried about what to do after September.
Third, While our troops are performing magnificently, the Iraqi Government is not. Using the administrations evaluation of progress, I would give the Iraqis eight Cs, two Ds, and eight Fs. Since the purpose of the surge was to calm things down in Iraq so its government could get its act together, its time for them to step forward.
Finally. My idea of supporting the troops is to get them out of the middle of a civil war rather than have them trying to support an Iraqi government that isn't doing their job.
As for "losing the war". I have a lot of faith in our country. We won WWII after losing Guam and the Philippines. We won the cold war after losing Viet Nam. We will defeat the various terror groups whether we stay in Iraq or not.
Posted by: Casper at July 14, 2007 11:35 AM
Pat Tilman was used as a "hero" by Bush to furhter his war mongoring. I mean who killed tillman any way? oh, no one knows now- last time the story went around.
How many lies were told about Jessica Lynch? Bush and his cap to propogate this war is not only a sham but just apathetic in the attempt to gain praise. What's funny is that the Jessica and Tillman, if alive, would probably share a different tale than W and his script writers. Oh wait, Lynch already did correct the lies!
Posted by: lost_my_bush at July 14, 2007 11:45 AM
Navydad,
Both of my daughters joined before 9/11, and to be honest I didn't worry about them until they were deployed to Iraq shortly after the invasion. When the left I worried about them coming bask alive and in one piece. I didn't think about victory, because I assumed we would be victorious no matter what. When my older daughter, went back for her second tour (18 months ago), I just wanted to see her make it back alive. The occupation had been handled so poorly up to that point, that I had doubts about how it would come out. After talking to her, after she returned to Germany, and hearing some of the stories about Iraqis shooting at each other over our troops (and reading a lot about what was going on from a number of sources), I came to the conclusion that we need to get out.
I should also note that IMO leaving doesn't necessary mean the violence will get worse. I have read a couple articles that suggest it will actually go down. I don't think anyone at this point can predict what's going to happen.

First off, has their been an attack inside America since 9-11? Even if the most conservative prediction was there would multiple attacks within 5 years? No.

"Ummm...until LMB learns to write at the level of a third grader, I suggest we simply ignore her/him."
I think your right navydad. LMB should at least learn how to use cut and paste, and get it's talking points straight from the KOS. Aparently paraphrasing is far beyond it's comprehension.
Posted by: jbiccum at July 14, 2007 01:36 PM
"Just becaue you BELEIVE BUSH's lies, don't try to make eveyone else feel bad for your gullible bad judgment- or simple blind faith in facist imperialism."
Oh no! We made it feel bad!
Since when was spreading freedom to an oppressed people "fascist imperialism"? HAHA gullible bad judgement! Now thats funny! Maybe you should take a look in the mirror, you will see a useful idiot, full of gullible bad judgement. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

jbiccum- i know i know...blame clinton. How many times does the right have to shift responsibilty for it's war? i mean i suppose Clinton invaded Iraq, and Bush is there to clean up right? is that what your history book will convey?
I also guess Clinton made up stories after he killed Tilman right?
Or just the story about heroic little jessica?
which is it that Clinton faricated huh?

"Casper - to be clear. Your position is get out and damn the cosequences. I mean, why should I even list the awful scenarios if you've made up your mind?
That IS your position, right?"
My position is that If there hasn't been significant progress made by September, politically, militarily, and diplomatically, in Iraq, then we need to start bringing our troops home. During the process, we will still need to provide support to the Iraqis in the form of training and hunting down al Qaeda. This will probably take at least a year.
As for the consequences, I don't know if the consequences for leaving will be any worse than the consequences for staying. Either way, a lot of people are probably going to die. But then, a lot of people are dying now. To be honest, nobody knows for sure what will happen when we leave. The violence might even go down, if they don't have us to shoot at.

Casper - thanks. A resonably stated view, even if I disagree.
Was there some noise coming from that well know liar LMB? Hmmm, he still hasn't come clean, so I guess not.

Dr. Dumbass, might I make a suggestion? I know you can't write, but when you quote others, you may want to differentiate the quotes from your response. There is a key on your keyboard, just to the right of the semicolon key. It's the quotes key. Use it. Your first post makes it appear as if you're--not your--talking to yourself. Also, you can learn some other methods to highlight quotes. Try the for italics, or for boldface type.
I'm just trying to help you out, girlfriend, 'cause I know you're--not your--a dumbass. Now get with the program, or get gone...

How long can America last while our liberal enemies talk trash and consistantly commit treason?!!!
Let 'em scream their slander, Rick--and watch 'em as they attack our free speech on a daily basis. They're--not there or their--hypocrits.

My daughters, between them, served 13 years in the army for this country, of which 42 months was in a war zone. I think they have earned the right to disagree.
Casper, I'll bet your two fine daughters are more measured in their dissent than these kooks we deal with on a daily basis. Anyone has the right to disagree, but what we should all be wary of is those who criticize things they know nothing about. And we're all guilty of that, some more than others.
OT Casper, but I have a question for you. I read somewhere that teachers in France, or Germany, or somewhere in Europe, are suing over a rule that says if they fail a competency test three times, they are terminated. You're a teacher, and from what I gather, probably a very good one. What are your views on this?
Also, is 50-something too late to get into teaching?
Posted by: keefer at July 15, 2007 09:08 AM
Thanks. Lets add hatred of the military to the list of Democrat traits.
Kahn, bel hates anyone in uniform, 'cause she got booted from the Brownies for hitting on a Campfire Girl.
And I don't mean one of those "campfire girls" who used to set up shop near San Vito AS...

I am a Vet just like Casper's daughter...
You're a vet, rockhead? C'mon, tell the truth for once. What branch? When? Where? What's the form title of your form identification card? What's the form title of your official record of service? I'm sorry, but as a 20-year veteran, I just can't believe you, unless your got kicked out for being a dumbass.
My position is that If there hasn't been significant progress made by September, politically, militarily, and diplomatically, in Iraq, then we need to start bringing our troops home. During the process, we will still need to provide support to the Iraqis in the form of training and hunting down al Qaeda. This will probably take at least a year.
Casper, I mostly agree with you on this. I am war-weary, because I feel that the post-victory cleanup has been thoroughly bungled. And Maliki said that if we can supply enough equipment, our troops can leave at any time.
Why do I feel this way? Well, I'm beginning to trust my entire government less and less--DemocRATs and Republicans. The Dems started by politicizing this battle in Iraq, which was borderline treasonous, IMHO. And now, lily-livered Republicans are more worried about reelection than they are about us.
The government's job is to protect us--all they're doing is protecting themselves. It's shameful. We need a third party. I saw Sam Wateston on O'Reilly the other night, and I was pleasantly surprised at how rational he was. You see, I was disappointed in Sam previously, because I thought he was a flaming lib, and I really like his acting on Law and Order. He's for a third party because he feels that it would wake up the two parties that have forsaken the people for special interests. I agree with Sam.
However, will a third party really change anything? Discuss...

I appreciate the women who serve..
But on this one they are WRONG!
We had NO women when I was in "country", and it should stay that way. You need testesterone in combat...not emotion.
Posted by: FmrMarine at July 15, 2007 12:37 PM
keefer,
I don't know the details of the case you brought up however, I know there are incompetent teachers just as there are incompetent lawyers, doctors, and salespeople. they make us all look bad. I know of a couple I would love to see leave the profession.
That said, the vast majority of the teachers I know love their jobs and work very hard at it. It can be a very rewarding career. It's a lot harder than most people think, at least to do a good job. I have yet to get a summer off, as my bills don't take the summer off either.
As for starting at 50, I went back for my teaching degree at 35 and started teaching at 37. I had an advantage over most of the younger teachers, because of the real world experiences I already had.

Hey Keefer thanks and your right!!!Goegre W. Bush is/will protect us, and is further-more probly the only one that can right?!!!!But let me ask you this how can he do his job if all the rebublicans start voting third-party huh?
If you vote thid-party,your just as stupid and pussed-out as any liberal enemies if the USA!!!I like you but please THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK and DONT DONT encourage people to go against President Bush!!!!!
Posted by: rick4bush at July 16, 2007 01:37 AM
Mark, you've lost your cause. I know it's sad for you but, to keep up the pretense is also very sad. In some very small way I feel for you, not much but some.
can't these shiftless lazy veterans pay for their own expenses? I thought you b4bers were against welfare?
babyeatingliberal says "shiftless lazy veterans".

If that is what you got from the post...you need help. I am a Vet just like Casper's daughter and I am with them. We have a right to voice our opinion about an administration that is wasting our money.
Well then Rockville - maybe you should take issue with fellow liberal comments about your personal work habits.
Kahn,
I don't think it would be wise to take the advice from someone who thinks I'm a traitor for not going along with Bush.
I can only imagine the grief I'll read tomorrow....LOL!
rick4bush, nice try. You know America used to stand for liberty and that was upheld by those with integrity and civility.
Now the right has trashed liberty, impoverished Americans and slain our troops. I mean what could be better?
hip hip hurah for Bush and Co.
rocky - too bad. I never called you a traitor. But you are an asshole.
"Time to Stand Up for America"
absloutely. Thank Warrner and Luger. Just more of the rights waking up and seeing the fascist hand of Bush ruining not only Iraq but of course America as well.
LMB - yet you ignore the pictures of American babies burned to death by tanks driven by the FBI at Waco. Under President Clinton.
Kahn- i know you got me. I guess the dems just go after regular ol' folk. But Dick and gang went after, get this "war protesters". holy bat crapman.
Seems like going after the loony anti-war hippies is ok huh?
yeah, i thought so
ironically nothing has changed- the right still goes pit bull syle after anyone who opposes their warsor threatens their good ol' boy way of life.
i'll be damned. no really, i'll be damned. I'm going to Hell in ahad basket. Any one want anything while i am there?
Hate to clue you in Navy, but Mortons sucks. If you do have an expensive home, boat, lake etc. you sure as hell have zero class which decreases the likelyhood of having those things in the first place.
Money is not impressive and most people who have it don't have a need to brag about it. Talk about false vanity...you are the prize winner.
Betcha' got one of them there Rollaxez too, huh Goober. (Spelling intentional.)
The question is, can you tell time with it or is it just purty to look at.
Uh-huh, sure LMB. Got pictures of the burned dead bodies of those hippies? Did the Republicans try to outlaw their guns? Stiffle their speech? Just who the hell are you even talking about?
And kennschtuberdork - Morton's sucks? And money is bad? Wow. I'll alert Pravda.
Kahn- face it. Even Warner and Luger are no going to let Kent state happen again. get with it- this is the 90's.
wait a minute...you mean this is not the SAME iraq war?
my bad, i thought this was the 15 year Iraq war- round 2.
LMB
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/POLITICS/WACO/waco.html
You look at the before and after pictures at the bottom and tell me how safe America is when Democrats are in charge. Give the name of one of the girls to prove you looked.
Kahn- tell us all. Tell America how Kent state just didn't happen. i know, Americans just imagined it right?
I guess the looney left imagined Bush is losing the war on terror right?
We are *winning* right? i mean we are not winning, but not losing? Or are we just not losing, but winning.
Or is AQ just stronger today than ever? or Is Iran now embedded into Iraq? or is a terror attack immenent?
God, I am so glad Bush is saving us and WINNING his war on terror! or is it just the war on Words of Mass Confusion?
I see no names - COWARD. You couldn't bring yourself to look at the results of Bill Clinton's Justice Department.
Yes Kent State happened - during Viet Nam, not Iraq - you retard. I've actually used Kent State as an example of why banning guns for normal citizens is wrong.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_State_shootings
May 4th, 1970 (37 years ago).
The National Guard troops went to Kent State straight from breaking up a union strike. Again, this is why I'm so surprised that liberals don't get the Second Amendment. And yet, you want guns only in the hands of criminals and the government. But what happens when the government IS criminals?
Well, I'll just count you as an ignorant political hack until I see a name.
g'night.
Kahn I know this is difficult for you so I will type real slow so you can understand, OK?
Nice try lost_my_bush,liberals innundo doesnt workon k me,and ggood thing too or I would be as stupid as YOU!!!!!Maybe your too stupid to notice, but America is better now than ever in histroy BECUASE OF PRESIDENT GEORFE W. BUSH,THE GREATEST PRESIDENT probaly in history. But not that you would notice, since your too busy wackin off to pictures of your liberal idiot heros, like oh I dont know, harry REID-TARD and nancy PIG-losi!!!!
G'night all!! I'll leave you liberal treason-criminals to complain about how America is better off now, including the economy!!!!!!
Kenns,
Well, the Morton's in DC is really quite good - the Morton's in Las Vegas, not good at all; as in all restraunts, the manager and the chef determine if it is any good or not.
Navydad,
Man, you're going to have to do something great for the less fortunate to get around that litany!
:o)
Anyways, it does get rather tiresome, at times, to debate our liberal/left friends. Here at B4B we do attract a higher quality of leftist, but there's still that mind-numbing aspect of all leftwing thinking which makes debate a challenge.
Casper,
With all due respect to your daughters; all of you are wrong.
Ricky wrote: " America is better now than ever in histroy BECUASE OF PRESIDENT GEORFE W. BUSH,THE GREATEST PRESIDENT probaly in history."
well, at leat Laura, Barny and you think that. I suppose it must be true.
Still haven't had the courage to look at Clintons handywork have you oh liar about past Republican status?
LMB is a PROVEN liar and coward. I'd discount his/her posts and he/she does something about the lies he/she published here and until they confront the Clinton Waco legacy.
"can't these shiftless lazy veterans pay for their own expenses? I thought you b4bers were against welfare?" -b.e.l
Well friends, we just heard from the lowest form of scum-sucking vermin there is this country. You, sir, are exactly what has completely destroyed the once great Democrat party. Even if your buddies political tricks do manage to get a Dem elected in '08, im afraid the true face of your fallen party will become evident to the American people. You can count on Republicans being in control for at least a decade. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Mark for posting this thread. It is extremely important that we support the vast majority of the vets, who saw first hand that this can be won, and should be won.
Wow...good morning! It was tough to be humble, but I had to hold back.....LOL, it's a joke!

My whole intent, as I even apologized in advance before signing off. And really a fishing expedition to see if you or Matt felt the same way I "due".
I didn't get half the response that I thought though. I was trying for the reaction from the left, which seems to have generated some surfaced truth/feelings, but the test was to let them see just how it sounds when someone lays out a "litany" of self-righteousness. Because this is how it sounds from my perspective when I read most of the lefts stabbing posts.
Mark is right Forgetmeknocht, the Mortons in Vegas sucks and I'll never go back, however, "Olives" in the Ballagio is woonderful!
And I wouldn't own a Nautique.....too high class for me....LOL!
But life IS great!
Good post, Mark!
Jeremiah
"We don't count the lives spent in Iraq either...".
WTF??
Maybe you should pass this ecumenical opinion on to the family members of those who "don't count".
How dare you. How f'n dare you say that their lives don't matter because we all are going to die anyway.
Let me educate you a little here Einstein. The fundemental basis of ALL of the worlds religions IS a fear of death. That attitude, that awareness has ZERO to do with ones social or political affiliation.(BTW, no one cares about how much stuff you have. Or don't.)
Write the family of Pat Tillman and tell THEM that his life didn't count.
crickets......no leftist response?
Casper,
I have a question for you that most likely, only a parent can ask: When your daughters (who BTW are true heros in my book and I hope they are safe) went off to war, did you say to yourself "I hope they come back victorious and alive"? Or did you say to yourself "I hope they come back alive...period"? I'm curious, because, when my Son entered the Navy (as a volunteer), we weren't in war time, but when he was deployed after 911, I wanted him (even though it wasn't my place to say anything) to be part of a winning team that would help save America from those that want to kill us.
What I found after he left the Navy was that he was proud to be part of a winning team and that even if something had happened to him, that he wanted me to be proud also.
BTW, there were many times that he questioned the mission--to me--but he was always a loyal soldier.
Are these the Swift-boaters? If so don't they already have large financial backing from people like Sam Fox.
WOW Mark.. my eyes wide open!
"Casper,

Mark,
With all due respect to you and the troops that are planning this protest, you are the ones that are wrong this time.
Navydad,
Both of my daughters joined before 9/11, and to be honest I didn't worry about them until they were deployed to Iraq shortly after the invasion.
Boy, I wonder how this is going to play in Peoria: the Iraqi parliament plans to take the month of August off. Cuz it’s hot, says Tony. As if the troops running around protecting their sorry asses are wearing air conditioned uniforms. According to Maliki though, if people have a problem with that, fine. Go ahead and leave.
LMB is a PROVEN liar and coward. I'd discount his/her posts until he/she does something about the lies he/she published here and until they confront the Clinton Waco legacy.
Do not reply to someone who openly lied to you and expects you to eat it.
Casper - to be clear. Your position is get out and damn the cosequences. I mean, why should I even list the awful scenarios if you've made up your mind?
That IS your position, right?
Kahn- I was not the one pouning on the UN table screaming WMD's. it is not I that for over 4 years said we were "winning the war on terror". It is not I that fabricated heroic fantasy propaganda about Jessica Lynch. Nor was it i that said PAt Tillman died by heavy enemy fire.
Who is the liar Kahn?
i guess al the lefty nuts are for disbelieveing Bush's lies right?
Just becaue you BELEIVE BUSH's lies, don't try to make eveyone else feel bad for your gullible bad judgment- or simple blind faith in facist imperialism.
"I was not the one pouning on the UN table screaming WMD's."
Your right, it started with - wait for it - AL GORE! Thats right the CLINTON administration started screaming about Iraqs WMD's a LONG time before Bush was even a candidate! So shut up about Bush lying about WMD's, cause all it is a TALKING POINT!
Ummm...until LMB learns to write at the level of a third grader, I suggest we simply ignore her/him.
"it is not I that for over 4 years said we were "winning the war on terror". It is not I that fabricated heroic fantasy propaganda about Jessica Lynch. Nor was it i that said PAt Tillman died by heavy enemy fire."
First off, has their been an attack inside America since 9-11? Even if the most conservative prediction was there would multiple attacks within 5 years? No.
Second, was it Bush who made up those stories, or was it just someone high up in the military? Get your "lies" straight before you make an accusation, I mean do you honestly think your fooling anyone? Do you think your going to make someone a useful idiot like yourself?
"Ummm...until LMB learns to write at the level of a third grader, I suggest we simply ignore her/him."
I think your right navydad. LMB should at least learn how to use cut and paste, and get it's talking points straight from the KOS. Aparently paraphrasing is far beyond it's comprehension.

Exactly why LMB should be ignored....worthless information...er....trash!
"Casper - to be clear. Your position is get out and damn the cosequences. I mean, why should I even list the awful scenarios if you've made up your mind?

You need testesterone in combat...not emotion.
keefer,
I don't know the details of the case you brought up however, I know there are incompetent teachers just as there are incompetent lawyers, doctors, and salespeople. they make us all look bad.
