Jack Murtha and the Concept of Apology?

a·pol·o·gy [uh-pol-uh-jee] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun, plural -gies.
1.a written or spoken expression of one's regret, remorse, or sorrow for having insulted, failed, injured, or wronged another: He demanded an apology from me for calling him a crook.

Yesterday, the Haditha marines came one step closer to what will be their inevitable vindication. In the process, these Marines were held 23 hours a day in cramped cells. These Marines' families have gone through bloody hell and hardship, not to mention countless sleepless nights worrying about their loved ones, who, largely in part because an otherwise nondescript lard ass with self-serving political aspirations saw that, despite warnings to the contrary, it was to his advantage to endear himself to the whacko-left power structure of the DNC. So the old gasbag went on to run in front of every camera he could find, loudly proclaiming that the incident was a massacre, and a "cover up" from the highest levels:

Curiously, I also called Jack Murtha's office for an official statement yesterday. They replied they could give none, as it wouldn't be proper since the investigation is ongoing. Does anyone remember this tidbit from Salon.com?

Asked about his sources during a midday briefing on Iraq policy in the Capitol, Murtha confidently replied, "All the information I get, it comes from the commanders, it comes from people who know what they are talking about." Although Murtha said that he had not read any investigative reports by the military on the incident, he stressed, "It's much worse than reported in Time magazine."
When I confronted the staffer about this, she had the gall to state that Murtha's statements were "taken out of context."

Some "context."

In short, Jack Murtha totally disregarded the Marines' basic civil right to presumption of innocence, and in the process destroyed their lives. All for the purpose of what can be safely said to be cheap, personal political gain.

Now the question remains: Will Jack Murtha, who has stated over and over again that he steadfastly supports our troops, render an apology to those brave Marines whose lives were completely destroyed, largely due to his efforts?

Somehow, I think not.

For to Jack Murtha, it's never been about the troops. It's never even been about the United States.

To Jack Murtha, it's always been about Jack Murtha.

And the left will initially drop this - and then a year from now just start talking about it as if it were always proved that the Marines were guilty, and only skullduggery on the part of Chimpy McSmirk BusHitler saved them...

Disgusting...

But this is how Democrats support our troops. By gleefully and blindly believing any trumped up, anti-troop charges fabricated by Al Queda simpathizers. Because they would rather believe the worst about our guys than actually spend the time to look into the validity of the accusations (just like Dan Rather did with Memo Gate). Dems. also show their support for our troops by dedicating whole book shelves to Abu Graihb accounts which inflate the importance of that much exagerated and isolated event. Sometimes I think Abu Grahib was one of the happiest days of many liberals' lives, judging by their obsession with the subject. Then they wonder why we accuse them of being unpatriotic. With friends like these, who needs Al Queda.

I want to hear from these Marines once they've been vindicated. It appears that they've been let down by their leaders, if they've been locked up for nothing.

I'd also like to hear from Jack-off Murtha, but I hear you pass out if you hold your breath too long.

Here's a list of lefties I'd like to see swinging from a gallows:

Harry Reid-tard
Nancy Piglosi
Slicky Blue Dress
Hitlary
Breck Girl
Spitball Kerry
Jackoff Murtha
Jim Moran
Jim McDermott
Upchucky Schmucky Schumer
Little Dick Turbin (yes, I know how to spell "turban")
Steny Whoreyer
Chuckie Wrangel (yes, I know how to spell "wrangle")

There are many more, but that's a start. And there's a few Republicans who are worthy of a noose, IMHO. I won't name the RINO's, but you clear-thinkers all know who I'm talking about. And all you seminar blogger trolls will offer up the same old redundant names, right? Ler 'er rip, tater chip...

(Ed. Note: The views expressed by Keefer do not necessarily reflect the views of Blogs for Bush, its writers or its commenters - as a matter of fact, B4B would prefer the named individuals all be sentenced to serve alongside the illegal aliens staffing Pelosi's vinyard)

Sorry for the following OT:

kblack, could you point me to some of those lefty blogs that you claimed I'm "the talk of?" I went to a few, and can't get a rise out of the kooks. Help me out please, and I'll try to be nicer to you in the future...

keefer,

Stop holding back. Tell us how you really feel about the Democrat leadership.

:-)

Yesterday, the Haditha marines came one step closer to what will be their inevitable vindication.

Leo, the recommendation to drop charges appears to involve only one accused Marine, LCpl Justin Sharratt. Two others are accused of murder, and four officers are charged with failing to investigate. This might be a step in the right direction, but one that's smaller than you imply.

Still, I take your point about Murtha. On one hand, his office says he can't give a statement because the investigation is ongoing, but on the other, he had no problem giving out the statement reported in Salon, which likewise occured with the investigation still incomplete.

the Marines were guilty, and only skullduggery on the part of Chimpy McSmirk BusHitler saved them

With help from the ChaneyRoveBurton Industrial Complex, of course. :-)

Bigfoot has a point about the Marines who are still in trouble over this incident; however, a lot of the original story is unraveling, and Murtha still must be held accountable for his political grandstanding at the expense of our USMC. Jackoff must hang for treason.

A-10, that was my short list. I could probably name about a hundred more politicians in Congress, and as many Hollywood types, who should be held accountable as well. Oh, wait, I left out the media and academia. And the lawyers.

Hell, there's not enough rope on the earth to hang all these kook traitors. Let's send them all to Git'mo first.

Hey, watch the Ann Coulter video on the YouTube link above--Ann really gives it to some smart-ass twit.

I love Ann Coulter--she tells it like it is and doesn't back down. Does she go over the top sometimes? Nah!!!

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 12, 2007 04:28 PM

Keefer, where's the link?

Posted by: navydad [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 12, 2007 04:40 PM

navydad, you have to watch the Matthews/Murtha video, then scroll the whatever's underneath the screen. I found it accidently.

Sorry about the "whatever's" comment; I'm not very computer literate...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 12, 2007 04:58 PM

There's a whole bunch of them, navydad--I'm watching Teddy the Drunk right now.

Watch the whole Murtha video, or scroll to the end, and you'll have access to the others...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 12, 2007 05:01 PM

Found it.

The one where the twitty princess is offended by Ann's humor? I had seen the same piece with Chris-I've got a turd in my pocket-Matthews about a week or so ago. The twit wasn't the only one Ann took a chunk outa, and I'm sure the Hardball team was scrambling after that show to find some, hell..any new material to give Matthews back his dignity. Needless to say, Ann handed him his juevos on a paper plate...LOL, and to the delight of many in the audience...except the twit and a few other libs that had no sense of humor.

Hey, just like the kooks here at B4B!

Posted by: navydad [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 12, 2007 05:20 PM

navydad, I'd watch Chrissy's show if I knew Coulter or Ingraham were gonna be on--they rock. I sent Laura an e-mail today, congratulating her on kicking Ibrahim Hooper's arse on her show, and I suggested she, Coulter, and Mary Matalin start their own version of The View. They could all gang up on their token lib, Katrina van den Evil, Editor of The Nation, and a certifiable kook.

Hey, kblack...I mean, Dr. Dumbass won't fill me in on which lefty blogs I'm allegedly well-known on. Have any idea? I'd like to check them out, sort of extend an olive branch to let them know that I'm a harmless, loveable little fuzzball, like Rush...
