Democrats want people to die...
...so they can seem oh, so politically correct.
That's the only explanation I can come up with for their boneheaded recalcitrance to protect people who report suspicious terrorist-like activity from lawsuits:
9:20pm Eastern update. Here’s the roll on the Senate John Doe protection amendment, which missed the 60-vote threshold by 3 votes. Interesting facts: No Republican voted against it. GOP presidential candidate Sam “Switchback” Brownback didn’t bother to vote. Hillary voted for it. Obama sat it out:

They actually are willing to let people die, rather than risk offending CAIR and their
radical Islamist block of voters.
I don't care what anybody says. It still ain't safe to vote democrat.

Isn't that the amendment that strips people who have been falsely accused of terrorist activities by the government and had all of their assets confiscated as a result of any right to seek retribution from their accusers?

I haven't read the language of the amendment itself, but it seems that the law would allow for spurious claims of "suspicious" (a very subjective term) activities to be made without fear of vindication. I agree with the the spirit of the amendment, but I want to see the language before I pass judgment.

No, this amendment would prevent those who report suspicious activity from having all their assets seized in a lawsuit.
Ever heard of the case of the flying Imams?

Democrats want people to die...
That says it all. They are TRAITORS!
/never thought they'd actually go this far...

I think this boils down trial laywer lobbists getting their way. It seems to cut both ways - just pick an issue.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a Wachington DC free of lobbyists and political parties? Just 535 individuals working together to do what they think is best for the communities they represent.

Make that 534...I could do without Ted The Swimmer Kennundrunk! Maybe 533, Dennis Kookspinach could go too!
Geez, could you imagine having a congress without these two morons? I can only dream....sigh.
Hell, while we're at it, take Hagel, Piglosi, Reid and another 47 or so from the left side of the aisle, and we'll be right where we need to be.
Also take the lobbying reform bill that was passed last year along with the lying pukes that wrote it--if the shoe fits--and pin it to the backs of the Murtha types and anyone else that won't disclose their recipients of their earmarks.

Sorry, should be "the rec...."

This is all about tort reform, I'm afraid. Too much special-interest money in Washington. If only
we could shoot all the lawyers, burn down all the universities, and hang all the liberals, this country would be much better off.
Just kidding--only 95% of the lawyers and universities need to go...
