My sister in-law runs a Northern California homeless program. Her and I have had many disagreements about the homeless and the fact that some would rather stay homeless, but they want the money too....it's human nature. However, now that she has actually field tested her education (she actually performs field interviews with the homeless), she's found that ole navydad ain't so dumb afterall (she's a bleedin heart lib)and that a majority of those homeless (not the mentally incapable)prefer the homeless status. Now I understand that this is isn't always the case, but it is in parts of sunny California!

You find them sleeping on sidewalks behind buildings and walking aimlessly through the streets.

Pretty sad for such a wealthy community...
