Yeah, That is Good...

From The New Editor - my only question is just how he got a dozen people to agree to hang out with him:

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal's Angie Fenton:

[The owner of a Louisville steakhouse] asked O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant minutes after Simpson arrived about 10:30 Friday night.

Told by a customer that the former football player had arrived at the restaurant, 325 W. Main St., [restaurant owner Jeff] Ruby said, he informed Simpson, “I am not serving you.”

“He had a party of 10 or 12 people,” said Ruby, who had served Simpson many times at his Cincinnati restaurants before the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman, of which Simpson was acquitted.
...

[Ruby] said the 50 or so people in the private room where Simpson had been seated “stood up and applauded me” when Simpson left.

Simpson got away with double murder thanks to the most dishonest pack of lawyers I've ever seen...and with his two victims long in the ground, he walks free, thinking he's got out of it all right...well, his Judgement is coming, and it will be perfect...but, meanwhile, until he owns up to what he did and takes responsibility for his actions, he should be shunned just like this.

The glove didn't fit, so they had to acquit.

//sarcasm off//

To this day, I don't understand what happened in this trial. IMHO, Simpson got away with it. But his judgement day will come, and he lives every day knowing this.

One has to wonder: when will the NAALCP and ACLU sue the restaurant owner?

Now does this apply to all persons who have been acquitted of crimes, or just the ones who you find personally abhorrent?

The acquittal of O.J. Simpson must rank as one of the saddest failures of the American justice system. It was a sideshow from start to finish, and in the end, the evidence of guilt had no bearing whatsoever on the verdict. Justice, in that case, was not served.

I just cant believe the way he treats the Goldman family. OJ is one sick SOB, and even if he isnt judged by mans courts, he will be judged by a much higher court with MUCH MUCH stiffer penalties.

JUST READ on AOL
Simpsons LAWYER claiming RACISM!!!!!
SHOW ME THE MONEY $$$$$$$
they are asking for the owners liquor license to be revoked.
How long before al $harpton, or je$$e arrives?
the oj saga continues.

I used to frequent some of the same clubs he did when he played for Buffalo. Everyone who got to see him up close when he wasnt playing for the media hated him.

He was surley, mean, arrogant, and nasty, a real
d!@k.

OMG--me too!!!

Goop, you slay me!!!

Don't you just wish the SOB sues...there ought to be lawyers lining up 10 deep to do pro bono on behalf of the steakhouse owner..!!bring it on, OJ!!!

CO is correct is saying the Simpson trial was ‘one of the saddest failures……’ Another sad failure that ranks with that was the acquittal of those LA cops who were featured on video beating the crap out of Rodney King. Now that was really pathetic.

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 9, 2007 08:58 PM

The only crowd OJ should draw .... is flies.

Sorry, pal, but those videos rarely show the totality of the incident. And to compare it with the Simpson debacle is, well, moronic. But, considering the source, I call it par for the course...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 10, 2007 05:02 AM

Keefer:
So Rodney King, being a big fellow and no angel, resisted arrest and we did not see that part. Regardless how he behaved, the video clearly shows cops out of control inflicting excessive physical punsihment on King. I don't know how you can defend the jury's verdict in that case. It still stands as an embrassing failure of justice.

Hey canuck

Watch the Chris Rock video on U tube. That just may teach you not to "get your a$$ kicked" by the cops.
R-king should have watched that.
The worst tragedy after oj wasnt the cops getting off for subduing RK
it was that B@$!ard who smashed Reginald Denny's brains out on natl TV and skated.

Posted by: FmrMarine at May 10, 2007 05:56 PM

FmrMarine:
--I was thinking of that trucker Denny when I posted but I had no idea how the case ended. So I see from your comment, the culprit went free. If he was readily identifiable, then that also is a mis-carriage of justice.
--Now I shall try and find that Chris Rock video

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 11, 2007 02:37 PM

FmrMarine:
--That Chris Rock video was hilarious. Thanks. Now going back to watch some Chris Rock.
