Barack "Hypocrit" Obama

Ah, the Democrats' hero for 2008...the man who is going to save us from the baleful influence of President Bush. Too bad he, like most senior Democrats these days, can't find ethics in a dictionary. Details over at GOP Bloggers.

Um... Mark... your bashing of Obama is completely erroneous. First of all, the article that you linked to doesn't provide proof of wrongdoing... secondly, your attempt to tie in Obama to greater Democratic corruption also falls short. First of all, you are committing two fallacies at once... You are taking parts of the Democratic Party and applying it to the whole (hasty generalization), then you are taking a characteristic of a group, and applying it to an individual (Division).

Just so you know, 91% of Obama's contributions come from Individuals and not PACs. Also, if you actually read the article you linked to, the "long [friendship]" that Obama supposedly had to Rezko isn't really that apparent...

Weak arguments, weak posts, same old stuff...

don't bother to click on the link it is all about nothing. politicians take money from special interests yet say they won't. Big scandal. Sheesh!

I agree its no big deal...except that Obama made such a big deal out of his squeeky clean image. Wasn't it Obama-sama that claimed he was sooooo opposed to taking anything from lobbyists that he would even accept a lunch or a coffee from them?

So basically you are saying that Obama is as corrupt as all the other politicians, and he lies about it to boot.

babymurderingliberal says - "don't bother to click on the link it is all about nothing. politicians take money from special interests yet say they won't. Big scandal. Sheesh!"

Cool. So big donations to a Republican from the NRA, Wal-Mart, and Exxon are perfectly OK. I'll let the candidates know.

Kahn-

I don't murder the babies, I get them out of the dumpster at abortion clinics, the partially birthed abortions taste the best, though sadly there are not many of those.

We already know the republicans are bought and paid for by the insurance, petroleum, gun, and pharmacuetical industries. Just like the democrats are bought and paid for by unions, trial lawyers and hollywood. I just find this post all about nothing.

Posted by: babyeatingliberal [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 22, 2007 04:57 PM

Ok, so some Democrats got $$ from the lobbyists. But now they want to change the system. Comprendes?

That means that the Dem's want to keep these ridiculously powerful companies in check. What does it matter if they got $$ from them? Their stand is the same.

And how is this hypocritical of Obama?

Calling him hypocritical would be like you calling a rich person hypocritical because they wanted to repeal the tax cuts Bush gave them.

"you make it seem as though the drug and insurance companies have bought the GOP and run our policy, with only heroic Democrats, like you, in DC to defend the people against their depradations. But doesn't you side have some problems, too?"

the answer to this is yes, but they're trying to FIX these problems by curbing the power of lobbyists.

If anything, this is hypocriticism by the right.

BEL: You're one sick jerk. You're also stupid. The post was about Obama being a hypocrit ... which he is.

Excellent post, Mark.

Kahn: LOL!!

No it's not a scandal b.e.l., it's called HYPOCRISY.

I guess when people like you attempt to create scandals around everything, you actually lose sight of the meaning of the word.
