But..but..but..Fox made a contribution to a group that opposed the democrats! Isnt that reason enough to deny a man who is otherwise qualified? Of course it is, what is WRONG with you people?

hmmmmm. Interesting thing is that the guy who was one of the chief architects of the swift boat smears and Bush's 2004 campaign says he has lost faith in Mr Bush, and admits Kerry was right:

Well, one thing is for sure - Mr Bush isn't going to be offering Mr Dowd a plum ambassador position any time soon.
So when are some of you Bushbots going to finally wake up from your denial as well?

"Isnt that reason enough to deny a man who is otherwise qualified?"
Otherwise qualified? You mean he wasn't in a persistent vegetative state? Kerry was wrong to get his panties in a bunch over such a non-issue, which is why I expect the right-wing blogosphere to think nothing of President Obama's nomination of George Soros to the Hungarian ambassadorship in 2 years.

Obama has to get by the Clinton machine before he will be allowed to even dream about the DFL convention, if he survives that he will have to face the debates with his months of experience to draw upon.
President Obama: only if he starts his own plus-size earmuff company.

I am glad that Bush did this, its kind of like we have been waiting for Bush to do this for 6 years and finally he is standing up to the democrats.

Funny how Dowd didn't say anything to contradict the Swift Boater claims. Kerry is, and always will be, a traitor to my country.

Isn't it odd how the left's "war hero" slams, denigrates, bashes and maligns over 250 highly decorated Combat Viet Nam Veterans, including a recipient of the Medal of Honor (one Kerry couldn't fake his way into) on the premise they "smeared" him, after all the lies he told against ALL Viet Nam Vets.
Good for Bush. Like it or not, at least he followed the constitution, something the Pelosi crowd ruled out recently.

Way to go W!! God bless you President George W. Bush, the greatest president in american history.

Does this REALLY (honestly) taste good to you? If it does, well OK then. But your lying. You know it and I know it. This was slick and "within the constitution" as Lew puts it. You swallow it and bray about it. But wouldn't it be better if your boy could have gotten him through by sheer political astuteness? Yeah...right.
You should beat on your chests and be very PROUD. Bravo.
Another day, another issue, I laugh again. Even using the tag "buffoons" is wearing thin. Ok, I'll try another...

The petulance and cynicism shown by the leader of the most powerful country on earth is embarrassing and frightening and sad. Sad that he thinks so little of the government and country he leads. Sad that he appears unable to distinguish leadership from pettiness.

Are you talking about this president or the last one? It's so difficult to tell from a statement like that.

goon,
Waiting six years for a recess appointment? Your boy is the king of recess appointments -- even when he had control of both houses (remember John Bolton?).
The good thing is that this appointment is only good until next year, when Mr. Fox will follow Bolton to the lecture circuit and right-wing think tanks.

Kerry was smeared by the Swift Boat Vets. Every soldier that was actually on Kerry's boat agree with him. The soldiers that dispute his claims were no where near him at the time. Get over it....

Well... if by qualified you mean gave money to Bush's campaign... I think he was a "pioneer"...
Christ... the nepotism shown by this administration is glaring, and mistake it for a beacon of brilliance... Luckily, it's attracting "loyal Bushies" like a bug-zapper... I very much doubt that this hack will keep his job for very long past Bush's term, even if a Republican gets elected...

Kimberly, you just keep getting stupider and stupider, don't you.
If you'll recall, all but you retarded right wingos realized that the Swift Boat Vets were LYING.
But...you are a retarded right wingnut, and so can't be counted on to think properly (I'm amazed that you can even speak English well enough to get onto this blog).
