Vice President Cheney on Pelosi's Trip and the Defeaticrats

On Rush Limbaugh's radio show, Vice President Cheney showed why we still love him:

RUSH: It may not just be Iraq. Yesterday I read that Ike Skelton, who chairs -- I forget the name of the committee -- in the next defense appropriations bill for fiscal '08, is going to actually remove the phrase "global war on terror," because they don't think it's applicable. They want to refer to conflicts as individual skirmishes, but they're going to try to rid the defense appropriation bill, and thus official government language, of that term. Does that give any indication of their motivation, or what they think of the current plight in which the country finds itself?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Sure. Well, it's just flawed thinking. I like Ike Skelton. I worked closely with Ike when I was secretary of defense. He's chairman of the Armed Services Committee now. Ike's a good man. He's just dead wrong about this, though. Think about it. Just to give you one example, Rush. Remember Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian terrorist, an Al-Qaeda affiliate. He ran a training camp in Afghanistan for Al-Qaeda, then migrated after we went into Afghanistan and shut 'em down there, he went to Baghdad. He took up residence there before we ever launched into Iraq, organized the Al-Qaeda operations inside Iraq before we even arrived on the scene and then of course led the charge for Iraq until we killed him last June. He's the guy who arranged the booming of the Samarra mosque that precipitated the sectarian violence between Shi'a and Sunni. This is Al-Qaeda operating in Iraq, and as I say, they were present before we invaded Iraq. There's no way you can segment out and say, "Well, we'll fight the war on terror in Pakistan or Afghanistan but we can separate Iraq. That's not really, in any way, shape, or form related." It's just dead wrong. Bin Laden has said this is the central battle in the war on terror...

...what's the emotion, what are you thinking about Speaker Pelosi's trip to the Middle East, specifically the conveyance of the incorrect message to Bashar Assad in Syria about peace talks with Israel?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Well, it's not helpful. I made it clear earlier that I thought this created difficulties, if I can put it in a gentle form. Obviously, she's the speaker of the House and ought to travel to foreign nations and ought to conduct visits.

RUSH: She's not entitled to make her own foreign policy, is she?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: She's not entitled to make policy. She, in this particular case, by going to Damascus at this stage it serves to reinforce, if you will, and reward Bashar Assad for his bad behavior. He's done all kinds of things that are not in the interests of the United States, including allowing Syria to be an area from which attacks are launched against our people inside Iraq. He obviously was heavily involved, right now, in supporting an effort by Hezbollah to try to topple the government in Lebanon. This is a bad actor, and until he changes his behavior he should not be rewarded about visits by the speaker of the House of Representatives.

RUSH: Well, how much damage has she done by conveying to Assad that Israel is ready for peace talks when Israel is not ready for peace talks as Syria is currently constituted?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Well, I think, clearly, she stimulated a reaction out of the Israeli. Prime Minister Olmert immediately made it clear that she was not authorized to make any such offer to Bashir Assad. Among other things, of course, the Syrians have not renounced their support for terror. The major terrorist organizations that are dedicated to the destruction of Israel, such as Hamas, are headquartered in Damascus, Syria. It was a non-statement, a nonsensical statement. It didn't make any sense at all that she would suggest that those talks could go forward as long as the Syrians conducted themselves as a prime state sponsor of terror.

RUSH: You are a reserved individual --

THE VICE PRESIDENT: (chuckles)

Vice President Cheney is, indeed, very reserved - and a stark contrast to the shrieking hatred thrown at him by leftwing ignoramouses. A hundred years from how historians will stand in awe at the way this intelligent, patient and loyal American carried himself in the face of the slanders which have been spread about him and his actions.

VP Cheney is also, of course, dead right about how wrong (stupid, really) the Democrats are in their attempts to pretend there is no War on Terrorism, and that a visit to the tyrant of Damascus by our Speaker is anything other than a foreign policy catastrophe for the United States...she's got no business going there: she lacks the expertise in foreign affairs to know what is going on and by presenting herself at the throne of Syria's dictator, she's merely played into the hands of enemy propaganda. Imagine if the Speaker had gone to visit Franco during World War Two...that is the sort of asinine move this is by Pelosi.

(Lefties: please note how I refered to Nancy Pelosi as "our" Speaker...because she is ours, even though I didn't vote for her and I abhor the policies she advocates. You don't get to pick and choose what parts of America are yours...its all ours, even when we don't like it. President Bush is your President.)

A hundred years from how(sic) historians will stand in awe at the way this intelligent, patient and loyal American carried himself in the face of the slanders which have been spread about him and his actions.

I don't know, Mark; if the left has their way, a hundred years from now, Americans won't find references to Reagan, Bush, Cheney, or the Holacaust, in their history books. But I do agree with you that Cheney, and Bush, are ever so tolerant when it comes to the incessant attacks the kooks, and their leaders, have levied against two fine men. The reactions of both Cheney and Bush are, at the same time, admirable and annoying to me. Sometimes I wish they'd have one of those Cheney/Leaky moments, but I realize why they don't.

Piglosi, Reid-tard, Kennedrunk, Rangel(er), and others in the donk-turd caucus could learn a lot from these two. Unfortunately, they only desire power, at any cost, and it serves to stengthen the divide in this nation.

Way to go, VP Cheney. And don't try to spin the interview, kook trolls. Unlike your heroes over at MMFA, I listen to the entire show, every day, so I know what was said, in context.

Have a nice day--it's time for patriotic Americans to go earn a living...

Poor guy. You'd think at least the Pentagon would back him up.

"Remove the phrase "global war on terror,"

No, you can't do that, or else you will remove la raison d'ètre for the Bush administration. Without the fear they generate from this, they have nothing. They need to propagate the feeling of anxiety and aprehension among the citizens, they need to feed the beast and they need the 'global war on terror' as an excuse for pre-emptive invasions and military actions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While you were taken in by the Neocon comedy channel, a Defense Department report yesterday by acting Inspector General Thomas F. Gimble, confirmed that Hussein's regime was not directly cooperating with al-Qaeda before the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

It is scary; I have concluded the VP and Prez do not have a single clue as to what is going on. They are making this up as they go. Swift-Boating has become so prevalent in this administration they are incapable of separating the truth from their lies.

"War on Terror" is just a term for the action of national defense. The President, the Secretary of State, generals and many others have said it is not a very apt term. But you and the vice president think it is worth a political fight over.
No wonder the administration has lost credibility with 69% of Americans.

Posted by: carsick [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 6, 2007 08:52 AM

They can remove the phrase "global war on terror", and it will have no effect on the threat that Americans have faced from radical muslims going all the way back to 1993, the first time the World Trade Center was attacked.

Besides the 1993 WTC attack, there were attacks during the Clinton years on our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, on the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia (used by our military), and on the U.S.S. Cole. The organization behind most of these, as well as 9/11, was harbored by Afghanistan. (I use the term "Clinton years" not to blame Clinton for anything, but to show how the terrorists were attacking U.S. interests BEFORE Bush took office.)

As for the pre-emptive invasion of Iraq, let's ignore Saddam's 12 years of flipping the bird at U.N. resolutions, failing to live up to the 1991 cease fire agreement, offers of rewards to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers, and the presence the above-mentioned Al Zarqawi. It's all just a ploy by Bush/Cheney/Halliburton.

Bush does not need to use "global war on terror" or any other catch phrase to keep us apprehensive. The VERY REAL threat from VERY REAL terrorists, which first appeared 8 years BEFORE Bush took office, is enough to do that. Bush will go away in January 2009. The vicious hate that the jihadis have for all non-muslims will not.

has anyone ever been so wrong about so many things as cheney has? and yet y'all still give him every ounce of loyalty you can muster. admirable, but amazingly inexplicable.

Posted by: jay k. [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 6, 2007 09:32 AM

Why is it you still hold Cheney in such high regard?

His first response contains a number of disproved lies from 2003.

1. Zarqawi wasn't a member of al-Qaeda until after the Afghan campaign,

2. Saddam outlawed Wahabists, including al-Qaeda,

3. Bin Laden saw Saddam as an infidel and non-believer for his secularity,

4. Zarqawi hid from Saddam’s regime in a area of the country the Republican guard didn't control.

Conclusion: Iraq did not harbor al-Qaeda. Saddam was a rival to bin Laden, just as Zarqawi was.

And as for Pelosi's trip, the right needs to stop whining about it. As he said she has every right and a duty to engage with foreign diplomats. He criticizes her for doing the same thing members of his own party did just days before. He also makes the case that Syria is against American interests while at the same time he holds cordial relations with dictatorships like the Sauds, Egypt, and Pakistan; all three which have blatant human rights violations on their most recent records.

Until the VP stops playing bad cop by spreading outdated lies in the face of reason, there is really no need to grant his opinion any sort of traction.

And anyway, Bush himself said we'd never win the Global War on Terror, so tell me what is so wrong with wanting to have language which actually specifies and explains our foreign policy instead of having some rhetorical catchphrase that is toothless and worn out?

Posted by: Anillo at April 6, 2007 09:59 AM

Vice President yesterday:
"This is Al-Qaeda operating in Iraq, and as I say, they were present before we invaded Iraq."

Declassified Defense Department report released yesterday:
"Captured Iraqi documents and intelligence interrogations of Saddam Hussein and two former aides "all confirmed" that Hussein's regime was not directly cooperating with al-Qaeda before the U.S. invasion of Iraq, according to a declassified Defense Department report released yesterday."

There's more. It also confirms what the CIA had said:
"..the inspector general's report, in a footnote, commented that it is "noteworthy . . . that post-war debriefs of Sadaam Hussein, [former Iraqi foreign minister] Tariq Aziz, [former Iraqi intelligence minister Mani al-Rashid] al Tikriti, and [senior al-Qaeda operative Ibn al-Shaykh] al-Libi, as well as document exploitation by [the Defense Intelligence Agency] all confirmed that the Intelligence Community was correct: Iraq and al-Qaida did not cooperate in all categories" alleged by Feith's office."

I Find it amusing that people call Cheney and Bush arrogant. They are hated intensely by the anti-war left. They take blast after blast after blast from the media and newspapers globally, yet they dont lower their own standards to resort to namecalling. By doing this, they are often labeled "arrogant, and evil, they are being unconstitutional" "and should be removed from office." But when Pelosi goes to Syria (with a handfull of Republicans), clearly overstepping her powers in an attempt to undermine the policies of the Pres. and agaisnt there wishes. She's labeled as "The Adult".. She led an extremely disrspectful campaign agaisnt the Pres. during the 06' mid-terms, and yet people think she's "The Adult". How come she isn't labled as arrogant!? Doublestandards are a bitch. I think she's overplayed her hand.

"if the left has their way, a hundred years from now, Americans won't find references to Reagan, Bush, Cheney, or the Holacaust, in their history books"

this is nuts for a few reasons...but mostly that the left would love to have a case study on the Bush/Cheney years in EVERY textbook. So we can teach that history in order NEVER to repeat it.

And that's the same reason why we will always teach about the holocaust as well.

So yeah, you got it exaclty backwards, and you don't understand the left at all.

The Defense Department and the CIA are wrong, wrong, wrong!! We all know they have a 'liberal' agenda and will do anything in their power to embolden the terriorists. Only Bush, Cheney and their loyal supporters know the truth. Now, sit down, and let's not hear any more nonsense about ridiculous reports from the Defense Department.

Yeah! We all know reality has a liberal bias. But this is a place to laud Cheney for being wrong about everything and highly unpopular--and to pretend that he's a genius who will be a near-deity in a century's time. Uh-huh.

Posted by: SeesThroughIt at April 6, 2007 11:20 AM

Dick Cheney is the best! Did you see him standing behind the bushes, ever present and carefully watching our Commander in Chief in his rose garden address the other day?

From Dick Cheney's mouth through Rush's mike to our ears. Gospel. He's so stern and forceful in a subtle way. He exudes power. I'm glad he's on our side.

It's too bad his health is a factor in the many things he would like to accomplish. I would love to have seen him fly over to Syria and grab Ms. Pelosi by the ear and drag her back here. How dare she undermine the peace process the administration has in place.

Perfectly stated. The rights reverence for the shooter is truly amazing. As you state, how could somebody - who has been not only wrong, but criminaly wrong - in so many instances still get the unquestioning support? I think they are so invested in this group of imbeciles, they have to hang on. They have nowhere else to go. They want a monarchy, and Dumbya wants to be king.

Got that? Pelosi's visit Syria is helping the terrorists. How horrible. There's just one problem.

Fact: JUST DAYS EARLIER, three Republican Congressman were ALSO IN SYRIA, VISITING PRESIDENT ASSAD. They were almost there TOGETHER!!!

Quote:

While U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's upcoming visit to Syria has caused the White House to bristle, a little-publicized rendezvous took place Sunday between Syria's president and Lancaster County's congressman.

And though Bush administration officials have been criticizing Pelosi, it's not clear what role the White House and the U.S. Department of State played when U.S. Rep. Joe Pitts and two other Republican congressmen met with Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Pitts is a Chester County Republican who represents Lancaster County.

Gabe Neville, Pitts' chief of staff, said Monday the conference between Assad and the three Republicans was intended to be "low profile."

"It was done in cooperation with the administration," he said.

However, White House spokesman Alex Conant said Monday the Bush administration — as a blanket policy — "discourages all of (Congress') visits" to Syria, a country believed by the White House to sponsor terrorism.

Now you might get a wingnut response to the effect that it's okay for Republican Congressman to "assist" the White House. That dog, as they say, won't hunt. As the story indicates, the White House discourages ANY congresscritters from visiting Syria. They're just a little louder in condemning some visits, as opposed to others. Oh, and the Republican Congressman says he went "in cooperation" with the White House -- which the White House denies. One of these Republicans is lying.

What a bunch of clowns, you guys are. You can't open your mouth, without rank hypocrisy coming out of it.

We could save paper this way. The Department of health and Human Services could submit a request for funds that will all go towards health and human services. Why break down what goes where?

Once upon a time, there was a group of people called conservatives, who felt that the government spent our money, and should therefore be required to explain what that money was to be used for. Now, they've been replaced by Republicans, who feel that the government should borrow and spend with no explanation or oversight.

I miss conservatives sometimes.

Thomas F. Gimble has obviously been led astray by the left-wing media. After hearing him spout his lies about the Saddam-Al Qaeda connection and Pat Tillman, it's clear that his credibility on any matter of importance is zero. We should all disregard anything this deluded coward has to say.

Grabbing her by the hair might be tough to do with her dressed in her new democrat burka. Trying to reason with the lefties is futile at best, since they are so mentally disordered...but humor and humiliation hit at their core. Someone needs to begin marketing the new democrat burka designed after the well modeled version called the 'pelosi diplomet'...we could kill the market with an extra extra large version called the 'chappequiddick' and for the tall person, 'the lerch'. For those of large head and massive calves we would fit them with the very non-feminine 'carpetbagger'...the only all black model which completely covers those less than attractive white features. The 'barack' would have a small halo and be sold only in the ethnic hair section of your local drug store. What do the radical feminists think of Pelosi activing the subservient role by looking so small and deferential to those would actively pursue the killing of our finest? Liberal dems are becoming so radical they soon will run out of positions to take and will periodically be so stupid as to take the right side ...it is already happening at the WaPo.... ha ha

Take a few moments and google authoritarian or authoritarian personality. I suspect that you Bush supporters will be as impervious to identifying with what is described as a dog is to seeing the world in color, but it might just enlighten a few of you. Those who never question, never doubt and see anyone who does not agree with them as an amorphous "enemy" are a sad and pitiful sight indeed. Fortunately, that degree of gullibility is not shared by the majority. If you Bush supporters need to rationalize why you defend being afraid of all evidence that contradicts the artificial reality that you have absolute, unquestioning allegience to, look at it this way. The ultimate demise of this perverted, incestuous and mutant form of "conservativism" is either cosmic retribution or physical homeostasis. As the sign says; the end is near.

It gets interesting if we set the standards of aiding and abetting terrorists that low. You justify war because Al Qaeda was in Iraq without the knowledge or support of Hussein. The terrorists who flew the planes on 9-11 were trained to fly in the US. There are most certainly Al Qaeda cells still in the US and all European countries. Who do we invade next?

Anyone who reads this "Blogs for Bush" is likely to maintain the idea, as Conceptual Guerilla's TOTALLY UNCHALLENGED post suggests, that the Republican Senators were down in Syria with Pelosia and all of this hullabullo over "Oh My Gosh Golly Gee! Nancy Pelosi has given Syria military secrets...eh, well no....has uh...ah, yes! Given morale support to all those Terrorists in Syria just by being there! She's a traitor!"

Really, though, why do Republicans keep whining about things that aren't true? Why do they always resort to spin doctoring? Between the corruption and the lies, Americans are getting fed up with it. A little honesty would be nice for a change.

See, the leftists totally miss the point. I have been reading here for quite some time, and just about every single comment of the leftists here are just rehashes of the same old stuff. You could practically just do cut and paste and save yourself some time.

Censorship is a viable option on any blog. Almost every leftist blog immediately eliminates those who are center or right.

Just because you have a half dozen misguided liberals who have diarhea of words and constipation of thought who post profusely here, doesn't mean a thing about the views of the majority of the country. Keep believing the polls that the MSM keep running as if they are news stories though. Keep convincing yourselves that the party being lead by Pelosi and Reid are really reflective of this nation. You will be in for a rude awakening.

When conservatives run on true conservative values, and not the watered down version we have from the Republicans that brought about the Democrat majority, conservatives win. The blue dog democrats are what gave the democrats the majority and the lunatic left is leaving them out. How long do you think they will stick with a party that ignores them? How long will the constituants stick with them?

No, I don't need to surround myself with like minded people to justify my views and positions. However, I would rather debate people who actually have a mind rather than those who spew DNC talking points without a bit of original thought. Just about every liberal blog I visit I read identical posts as the ones I read here.

Bombastic rhetoric that repeats ad nausium isn't debate. I have not seen any change in POV from either side, so this is just a circle jerk, the only thing that remains to be seen is who is the pivot man.

"A hundred years from how(sic) historians will stand in awe at the way this intelligent, patient and loyal American carried himself in the face of the slanders which have been spread about him and his actions."

If you really believe this you're not only drinking the kool-aid, you're swimming in it...a hundred years from now history will remember Cheney for who he truly is, a thug...

Well put, ol' Goat.

The neorads who rant and whine on this blog obviously have no life. We, on the other hand, do.

As far as being able to post on lefty blogs like kos or du underground and others, ol' goat is again right on the mark. As soon as they found out I was a conservative, I was banned! So much for the free speech you neorads claim to abide by. That is a total joke.

And watadoo, I pity you. You hate me because I like Bush. Well, I don't hate you for liking your party.

Titan: Please read through previous posts. We've gone over that and over that and over that. We do NOT condone the Republicans visit either.

Give me one good reason why we should talk to a leader who supports terrorism.

Wow, a "conservative" blog that accepts comments, even from those politically diametrically opposed. I salute you.

That said, what you posted is accurate in the sense that it reflects the reality of what was said, but inaccurate in that what was quoted is factually incorrect. (Ed Note: gross vulgarity deleted: We do allow a wide variety of opinions, but our lefty trolls are the best...and we expect nothing but the best. Say what you've got to say while keeping it PG-13 rated).

Please, "Conservatives", continue to deny fact. Bury your heads in sand, cover your ears while chanting "lalalalalala". We, the reality-based community, will drag you, kicking and screaming, to the light.

Posted by: JFrankParnell at April 7, 2007 04:30 AM

It is scary; I have concluded the VP and Prez do not have a single clue as to what is going on.

What would really be scary would be if anyone other than morons took any stock in any of your conclusions, Josh.

They need to propagate the feeling of anxiety and aprehension among the citizens, they need to feed the beast and they need the 'global war on terror' as an excuse for pre-emptive invasions and military actions.

Watch out, folks--it looks like CO's been dancing with Mr. Brownstone. And he can't spell nor does he know the difference between a comma and a semi-colon.

My God, you people just won't accept any truth that doesn't fit your version of reality.

Pot/kettle, Blunt. We've learned from the masters of unreality. You can learn a lot from a dummy.

So yeah, you got it exaclty backwards, and you don't understand the left at all.

ME, have you seen a copy of a high school history book lately? Looks nothing like what I learned back in the '70's. And have you heard about the UK? They are considering not teaching about the holacaust so as not to offend the Muslims who may be holacaust deniers.

The only thing I don't understand, ME, is how a group of so-called Americans could be so twisted and full of hate. And so wrong...

See, the leftists totally miss the point. I have been reading here for quite some time, and just about every single comment of the leftists here are just rehashes of the same old stuff. You could practically just do cut and paste and save yourself some time.

Period.dot.bingo! This is why I do what I do, Ol' Goat. I never try to reason with these kooks. I discuss logic with you, navydad, Spook, and the other like-minded folks who post here. However, you do have to admit, the lobotomized lemming parrots are funny...

Titan,
PLease come back from lala land my friend.
Mrs Pelosi has done the disgraceful act that
reminds me of your pal Fonda who disgraced our soldiers and put them into great harms way.
She worked behind the scenes with the enemies of our country and full KNEW the fate of our soldiers. Just ask any swift-boat veterans who bravely fought for our country.
Her and Mr. Kerry who should be brought to justice for those war crimes.
Disgraceful I say disgraceful.

Pelosi has an agenda. There's a few rich democrats who control the democrat party and they disengage the thoughts of the others.
Why?
Power my friend.
Mrs. Pelosi wants to sit in those rich kingly chairs showing her prestige, power and pomp.
If she had a gavel with her she could have raised it high and to the left and then to the right showing her kingship. Disgraceful I say disgraceful.
Not caring for the lives of our soldiers.
Not caring that the terrorists invade our land and then she secretly goes backstage with those who SPONSOR and SUPPORT the terroists activities.
Wake up my friend. Get out of lala land and come into reality.
Thank God for President George Walker Bush. One of the greatest Presidents of our time with the most brilliant minds working for the good of
America.
Those who don't care about your ridiculous polls and your ridiculous damaging agendas.
America must awaken to the threat that lies ahead of us. We must not falter, we must not slumber and we must not sleep. The enemies are actively engaged with those abroad who want to destroy America.
Or stay in lala land with the other democrats.
Just give the devil and inch and he'll soon rule.

For those conservatives upset with Pelosi talking to Assad: before you embarrass yourselves anymore, get out the history books. Your demi-god, Reagan, made a deal with Iranian terrorists to supply them with weapons and money in exchange for freeing the American Hostages. He had the hostages held until his inauguration as part of the deal so that he could look like a big hero.

1. Reagan was a private citizen when he did that, making it a violation of the Logan Act, and treasonous.

2. What kind of sick ass has hostages held one minute longer than necessary to make himself look good politically? The Republican kind.

3. What emboldens terrorists more, wanting our troops properly armed and supplied before sending them into a war, or giving terrorists money and weapons repeatedly, as Reagan did?

4. Who made Osama what he is today? Republicans. Just like they did with Saddam, and Noriega, and the Taliban, and the Saudis. And they are continuing to create today in Dubai.

The mess in the Middle East has Republican fingerprints all over it, extending back more than a generation.

Now Republicans have sold our port security to Dubai. Our debt has been sold to Communist China and Saudi Arabia. Our roads are being sold to foreign countries who will charge us to drive on them.

Our democracy is being dismantled by greedy and corrupt Republicans, all for profit and power.

I just love these leftists who think they are so enlightened. Everything is acceptable, no extreme behavior is wrong, just different. Then they wonder why people in general tire quickly of them and are disgusted with them.

Pelosi doesn't care what is right or wrong, she just cares about Pelosi. She is the third in line to the Presidency. That means her words and actions carry far more weight than the Republicans who visited. Pelosi is and has been working to undermine the President at every turn with out regard to the well being of the country.

The people didn't elect HER to be Speaker, they were for the most part ignorant of her. Most had no idea of who she even was. Had they known, maybe the election would have turned out differently. Who knows.

I do know that she is bordering on traitorous behavior. She does not set foreign policy, despite the fact that she thinks she can do as she pleases. She is a megalomaniac bent on power. She has sold her values for power. She claims to be catholic, yet sees nothing wrong with being diametrically opposed to Church views... after all the queen knows better than any one... including God.

Her actions deserve condemnation. She should be put on trial for her actions.

Defeactorats?

Hey Blogs for Bush.... When does your side actually wins?

Please go and read Sun Tzu "The Art of War" required at West Point.

I quote "When you engage in actual fighting, if victory is long in coming the men's weapons will grow dull and their ardor will be damped. Then no men however wise will be able to avert the consecuence that must ensue... Defeat. For if the campaign is protracted the resources of the state will not be equal to the strain.

You side is not offering any more than name calling.

Sir you are an ignorant simple bloger way over your head.

By the way find out who Sun Tzu was .... Read his book and then comment. If not, you are just another low life blog- for- food nut.

ONE THING ABOUT RONALD REAGAN.
HE WAS A DIE HEARTED AMERICAN WHO CARED AND UNDERSTOOD THE DANGER OF THOSE WHO SUPPORT AND UPHOLD THE TERRORIST MOVEMENT.
HE NEVER MIS-USED HIS OFFICE FOR SELF GLORY AND MAKE HIMSELF AVAILABLE TO THE ENEMY.
MRS. PELOSI HAS OPENED THE DOORS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO ONE OF THE GREATEST DANGERS THIS NATION HAS EVER SEEN. TERRORISM BY THOSE WHO
ENGAGE IN TERROR. AND SHE CAN'T SEE IT.
AND THOSE WHO HAVE THE GRIP ON THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY CAN'T SEE IT.
IF ONLY ZELL MILLER WAS STILL HERE.
HE UNDERSTOOD THE DAMAGING WORKS THAT ARE GOING ON IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
HE SAID SO OFTEN HOW HE LOVED THE PARTY BUT SAW THE DANGERS THAT BEFALL IT.
NAMELY PEOPLE LIKE PELOSI, KENNEDY, FEINSTEIN, BYRD, BOXER, MURTHA (A TRAITOR TO THE SOLDIERS AND THE UNITED STATE MILITARY).KERRY, SHUMER.
WAKE UP AMERICA.
THE 2008 ELECTION WILL BE WON BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. MARK IT DOWN FOLKS. THE DEMOCRATS ARE MAKING A FOOL TRIP BY LETTING MRS PELOSI CHARGE AHEAD.

If a GOPer does it, it's ok. If it's a Dem, then it's not. I just want to make sure I have it right. Perfectly logical!

A vast majority of Americans are sick and tired of the Bush Lies, hypocracy of Cheney, and the cry babies of the religous right. And the small minority that still support these crooks just can't stand to think of themselves being hoodwinked, so they ignore their lying eyes.

Party over Country - yeah, quite patriotic. Losers well into the 21 century, your GOP.

Wha? Scream that louder, truthisright, I didn't hear you over all the CAPS LOCK.

Seriously, though, you say that Nancy Pelosi "HAS OPENED THE DOORS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO ONE OF THE GREATEST DANGERS THIS NATION HAS EVER SEEN" just by visiting Syria? What I'm sure any centrists that happen to be reading this thread are wondering is not why, but *how* in the world did Mrs. Pelosi do such a thing? I mean, seriously, how about you skip your plea for me to come back from "la la land" and explain what Pelosi actually *did*. How many weapons or military secrets did she hand over (or for that matter, how many did she have to hand over in the first place?) As far as I can tell, the worst you can accuse her off is giving *token* (as in meaning) support for any Syrian terrorists. Not that she did, but petty little details like that never stopped dirty politics before, so you are partially excused for silliness like that-but I would hope you would at least specify to the poor, confused, non-politically active people that are just tuning in, just why the devil Nancy Pelosi deverses the word "traitor" ecthed in her forehead more then the Republican congressmen that visited Syria do.

Also, truthisright, you'd said in your earlier post that I'm suffering delusions, but you don't really specify anything (much like your accusations that Nancy Pelosi is selling out to the terrorist and trying to become "Queen" of America) exactly where I supposedly left the real world and entered "la la land." As it stands you are just shouting "HEY! COME BACK! GET OUT OF THAT CRAZY FICTIONAL WORLD WITH THE BLUE SKY! NO, THE REAL SKY ISN'T BLUE! I'M NOT SAYING WHAT COLOR IT REALLY IS BUT IT MOST DEFINETLY IS NOT BLUE! THE LIBERALS HAVE BRAINWASHED YOU INTO THINKING ITS BLUE!" But you never give me a road map to, or any proof that I existed was in, this supposed "Brown-skied" or "Green-skied" or "Chrome-steel-skied" or whatever-skied universe that *is* the "real world". In short, you can't just say I'm in error and then half-way draw up the concept for a story you *want* the public to believe, and just show me a cardboard cut out of Nancy Pelosi in a wicked witch of the west custome and say "See, she's evil. Case Closed" and not say whats she's *done*.

At least you won't elaborate on what she's done, not beyond the scope of "MRS. PELOSI HAS OPENED THE DOORS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO ONE OF THE GREATEST DANGERS THIS NATION HAS EVER SEEN." What doors are those? Why are those doors in Syria? Do you have a source to quote that provides evidence that Madam Speaker went anywhere near those doors? Seriously, what the devil are you even saying? I'll give you chance to speak more intelligenbly now, but just so you don't feel like I'm completely ignoring your posts, here are my thoughts play-by-play in your initial response:

(Titan,
PLease come back from lala land my friend.
Mrs Pelosi has done the disgraceful act that
reminds me of your pal Fonda who disgraced our soldiers and put them into great harms way.)-truthisright

Response:
I have a pal named Fonda? I never knew. Anyway, I'll point out that you also didn't elaborate on how this "Fonda" put the troops into harms way. Whatever "Fonda" did, I'll bet s/he could have *easily* made it up to troops (that is, saved more lives that his/her "disgraceful" actions ever could endanger) in the field many times over by buying them the proper body armor Rumsfield didn't provide.

(She worked behind the scenes with the enemies of our country and full KNEW the fate of our soldiers. Just ask any swift-boat veterans who bravely fought for our country.
Her and Mr. Kerry who should be brought to justice for those war crimes.)

Response:
I'd rather hear the story from you, since you brought it up.

(Disgraceful I say disgraceful.)

There's that word again....

(Pelosi has an agenda.
Disgraceful I say disgraceful.)

Response:
Ooh! Does she have a lair on a volcanic island, too? So sorry to burn your strawman, but *Bush* is the one who is wiretapping our phone calls. Seriously, your graphic imagery aside, the only way Nancy Pelosi can enter the White House is if Bush and Cheney are kicked out. And if she was aggressively trying to do that, why was one of the first things she did in office(with all the other congressional Democrats) swear the congress wouldn't even talk about impeachment? That's the fastest way to power, or are you suggesting that she has assasians on the way?

(Not caring for the lives of our soldiers.
Not caring that the terrorists invade our land and then she secretly goes backstage with those who SPONSOR and SUPPORT the terroists activities.)

Response:
When did terrorists "invade our land?" 9/11 and the only other attack in the continental united states in recent memory (when the terrorists tried to attack the same WTC back in 1993, boy it took them awhile to launch another attack, didn't it?) that counted as an *infiltration*. And while I'm on the subject- who let the bin Ladens leave the country in the confusion after 9/11: Pelosi or Bush?

(Wake up my friend. Get out of lala land and come into reality.
Thank God for President George Walker Bush. One of the greatest Presidents of our time with the most brilliant minds working for the good of
America.
Those who don't care about your ridiculous polls and your ridiculous damaging agendas.)

Response:
Why do you fight so hard over the fact that Americans aren't totally and absolutely with you? I mean, seriously, if the democrats are as liberal as you say they are, and the majority of the american people really think liberals are crazy and fundamentally different from what America is about, then why do they keep getting elected? Why , with all the other political parties out there and that could be formed in the future, have Americans not simply ignored the democrats to death and therefore instead of every election year it boiling down to Republicans vs. Democrats, is it not Republicans vs. some other party that filled the void the Democrats left open? Could it be that all the Democrats that are in congress today were actually *elected* by popular vote by average Americans? No, thats just crazy talk.

(America must awaken to the threat that lies ahead of us. We must not falter, we must not slumber and we must not sleep. The enemies are actively engaged with those abroad who want to destroy America.)

Response:
Did you know that China is paying entirely for America's involvement in the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq and Afganistan by lending America money (which will have to be repayed with interest)? Communist China? Are you comfortable with that? Can you still support the tax cuts we've been getting when it means making America indebted to a *communist* nation. We talked about this on the Ignorance and Leftism comments, but I can't find it in the archives. I don't believe we ever got an answer from you conservatives.

(Or stay in lala land with the other democrats.
Just give the devil and inch and he'll soon rule.)

Response:
Or let the devil loan *you* an inch so you can fight a war and attempt a doomed peacekeeping mission there afterward in Iraq that you don't want to pay for yourself, and he'll gain the world through some twenty-thirty years' interest. Whereas the devil=China.

Actually, one thing I'd like to know is why truthisright took the time to point me out in his response to my post. He didn't challenge CG's post and he didn't make any other point besides calling Pelosi a powermonger with no backup evidence. How about it, truth? Why didn't you just refer to all the liberal bloggers all at once? You didn't have anything particularly for my ears.

The only thing I can figure is that you just tried to focus-fire on me, apparently to try to shut me up. You conservatives are all alike in that fashion, you are more interested in shuting someone down well before they are able to state their position adequetely. The thing is, you can only really do that on TV or the radio or when you have an audience packed to the brim with bushbots to help you out by simply booing the liberal. Welcome to the blogosphere. You can't do that here so you are reduced to calling us loony and hope we don't force you into answering a difficult question or retreating.

I will say this though. Insulting me does no good. Should do no good. I will never back down. So stop avoiding the question: Whats the difference between Pelosi's visit to Syria and the Congressional Republicans' visit to the same Syria?
