Didn't Bush spoon feed the "faulty" military intelligence to our representatives? They could only react to what your CIC was giving them.
Posted by: raker13 at March 17, 2007 12:16 PM
raker, maybe it is time for you to explain what seem like contradictions from the radical Left, regarding George Bush.
On one hand, you call him a moron, an idiot, a simpleton, a puppet of Cheney or Rove or whoever else you are after at the moment---yet you also claim, in your statement, "Didn't Bush spoon feed the "faulty" military intelligence to our representatives?" which implies that he had the intelligence to convince more than 600 elected representatives that the information they had been getting for years was wrong, that the inforamation they had access to via various security and defense committees was wrong, and that they should dismiss every single thing they had heard from their own leaders, all of our intelligence services, all the intellige services of all the other nations who had weighed in, the oft-stated opinions of the Clintons (B&H) and Kerry and Gore and so on---they should set all this aside and listen only to the radically new (and false!) information he was "spoon-feeding" them.
Sounds pretty smart to me.
But wait.....you go on to say "They could only react to what your CIC was giving them." So maybe it wasn't intelligence on his part at all, but maybe some sort of mind ray that crippled them all, deprived them of their memories so they couldn't recall any of the information they had been receiving and reacting to for nearly a decade. Maybe it was something in the water. I wonder if reviewing any of the televised speeches Bush gave on the topic of invading Iraq would show one of those spinning spiral disks, to invoke mass hypnosis.
Of course he had to be able to have the same effect on the United Nations, too, as they reached the same conclusions he and Congress die.
No wonder you all are so scared of him---this is a truly awesome power.
Nice scenarios, not really any loonier than any of the other insanity you all keep dishing out on such a regular basis.
But you still have to explain away the fact, the FACT, that what "the CIC" "spoon-fed" these drooling mindless automatons, was exactly, EXACTLY, what those intelligence agencies from ours and every other country, had been telling them for so many years. EXACTLY what the UN had been saying, EXACTLY what various news agencies had reported.
Or did Bush, from the governor's seat in Austin, direct his magical mind rays to all those intelligence agencies all over the world, and all those UN inspectors, and all those others who had been reporting on Iraq for so long, to plant in THEIR teeny little minds his evil falsehoods? Of course, with his ability to control the minds and wills of hundreds of thousands all around the world, he would probably also be able to predict the future, which is why he had to know he would someday be President, which is why he started this nefarious campaign back in the 90's.
Set us straight, raker. It's so hard to keep up with you Budding Socialist BDSers.

Helen Thomas is one of the few journalists who actually challenge elected officials.
Because Republicans made questioning Bush tantamount to a crime against the state, the MSM became unquestioning shills for Bush and failed to question the lies that came from Karl Rove and Dick Chene.
Why is it that you hate those who for the mnost part were right about Iraq?

Now, back OT. Helen Thomas, a doddering senile mean-spirited hag, should remain in the front seat of the press room, and should be called on often, for she is the ideal face and voice of the BS LLL. (That is, the Budding Socialist Looniest Liberal Left.)
I say keep the camera on that brilliant face, let the nation watch her reactions to factual statements, let her continue to be the very icon of the radical Left.
No better representative could be found to illustrate to the nation how deranged, how emotion-drive and hate-driven and irrational, the radical Left has become. Just look at the adulation heaped upon Helen by her fellow BS LLLers---CO says she is a "gem", PM thinks she is presenting facts, Lom says "God bless her" and raker's panties are in a twist because we don't like her. What better credentials could a loony lefty have than the support of these Usual Suspects?
And dont' you love watching Tony Snow handle her? He is brilliant in his response to her idiocy.
Sometime you should go to Hugh Hewitt's archives and read the transcripts of interviews he has had with her. The Compassionate Conservatives would shelve her for her own protection, to keep her from embarrassing herself the way she does, but the PROGRESSIVES are so much in agreement with her they want her up front and center so she can be lauged at. Go figure.

Josh - a valid attack would be that he worked for some worthless blog. The "gay escort" part is a ruthless and bigoted attack. We have pointed out previously how willing liberals are to make this attack. You are truly disgusting.
You SAY we hate gays. But really, you do. You con them, just like you keep the inner city poor addicted to welfare. You need victims.

I'd give YOU her seat - I'd give a lump of clay her seat: she has no place in rational discourse.
There's very little difference in raker and a lump of clay. Or Eric and a lump of clay. Or Lom, kblack, CO, PM(S), Wolfie, or tomjeff, and a lump of clay.
Let me reiterate a point to all of you: I have tried to reason with the trolls here, and I have had little success. The trolls on this blog, well, the vast majority of them, are lobotomized puppets who suffer from BDS, and who repeat the same redundant talking points. Therefore, there's no reason for me to address you with any respect, as I don't have any for you. I don't like you; in fact, I detest the vast majority of libs/lefties/progressives I've encountered.
If you don't like what I say, don't read it, don't respond to it, or don't repeat the four-year-old b/s your messiah, Howeird Dean, spikes your kool-aid with.
Lom writes:
God is Great, all you can do is resort to name calling. I know that you would get on your knees for Bush no matter what he did. You are slobberishly drunk on the right-wing Kool-Aid.
I would say you are a simpleton, not an idiot.
Now, he has every right to do so, and it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I'll steal a quote from Cyberactress, and call Lom's comments a "badge of honour." However, Lom is errant in asserting that I blindly support President Bush. I disagree with him on many issues--immigration, spending, entitlements, refusal to fight back, and his handling of the war. However, I support the fact that he is fighting the war on terror with means other than sole diplomacy, as the left is wont to do. Also, when I considered the alternatives to Bush as president, it was a no-brainer. Gore? Kerry? Get real.
Now, if Bush's possible replacement, Hitlery Clitton, should win the WH, I will support her if she does the right thing in the WOT. However, there's nothing else in her agenda I'll support, 'cause she's a socialist, hungry for power.
This is one of the main differences in us and you--you kooks hate Bush and blindly oppose everything he does. All over two issues--the impeachment of your other messiah, and AlGore's failed attempt to steal the 2000 election.
Get over it, lads, or we're gonna always be a divided nation.
Cheers!

What can I say, what is there to attack, it was his profession. He ran an escort service for gays. He was not a journalist in the tradition of Helen Thomas as the White House would have you believe. Therefore gay or not he did not deserve a seat.
I just think it is a fair question and ask it again. If you are going to give Helen the boot, why does the operator of a gay escort service get one of the prize seats in the room?
Posted by: Josh Keaton at March 18, 2007 01:47 PM
You ask a fair question Josh. I doubt very much that you will get a fair answer, though. What I would like to know is why so many posters here think Helen Thomas, a seasoned vetern of the White House press corps, would need to be kicked out in the first place. She did put her colleagues to shame, time after time, by asking the questions they all should have had the balls to ask but didn't, but for that she should be commended not ostercized.
We all should thank our lucky stars that a person of character occupies that seat and not some phony so-called reporter planted by the Administration.

It's so hard to keep up with you Budding Socialist BDSers.
thats right Mark - free speech, an independent media, freedom to question the wisdom of our elected officials - no no not if you disagree with it...
for all the ranting you do about american values and freedom you do your best to fight against them
Helen Thomas is one of the few journalists who actually challenge elected officials.
Because Republicans made questioning Bush tantamount to a crime against the state, the MSM became unquestioning shills for Bush and failed to question the lies that came from Karl Rove and Dick Chene.
Why is it that you hate those who for the mnost part were right about Iraq?
Wade
Go figure.
Mark,
You know when people from the distinguished majority use words like "idiot", and "stupid, juvenile moron" to describe our good buddies in the minority on this blog I see that their posts get edited or users get banned.
But when the "idiot" and "stupid, moron" God Is Great does it....
But I digress, hypocrisy was always your strong point.
Cheers!

The Iraqi people have gone from having one Monster to deal with to having an army of them, thanks to the Bush administration's ill thought-out 'shock & awe' invasion. How the citizens of Iraq can consider the U.S. their FRIEND is beyond me.

Really, Almiranta, you surprise me. Those are comments we have come to expect from someone like keefer but not someone of your intelligence.
Now Mark has reduced himself to picking on old ladies. As if she is responsible for the implosion of the Bush administration. Part of a journalists job is to ask questions about the obvious. Mark questions the obvious, then summarily rejects it and comes up with magical alternatives.
Marks ideas are to the wicked witch of the west as reality is to a big bucket of cool sweet spring water.
And be man enough not to delete my posts. I know that you think facts are insulting but if you are so correct about everything, what are you afraid of?
Her questions are like jokes:
"have you stopped beating your wife?"
"do you take the bus to school, or do you take your lunch?"
You people are really really messed up. Bush did not lie. Democrats did for saying they would puill us out. Bush does not condone "brutalizing" Iraqi soldiers. Bush does not want to bomb innocent civillians.
It is this lunacy that makes you people look like idiots. Well, thats not strong enough... you ARE idiots.
That last bit was for you Eric.
Cheers!
id·i·ot NOUN: A foolish or stupid person.
God is Great, all you can do is resort to name calling. I know that you would get on your knees for Bush no matter what he did. You are slobberishly drunk on the right-wing Kool-Aid.
I would say you are a simpleton, not an idiot.
Asking questions like why people are getting killed and why are our troops still in Iraq is a big joke to righties.
Hey righties, how long can we keep this war in Iraq going? Is that a better way of asking?
Jeez.....
The left does not listen to reason or explanations. That is why we assume you are idiots. And HH asks questions that ASSUME guilt. Thats whu she is a joke. Who does she even write for? Don't you need some kind of actual media to be associated with you?
No, I'd prefer it were ZERO. I'd also prefer our losses to be ZERO. I'd also prefer we hadn't gone there, since now we can never leave (the intel was not faulty, Bush just ignored it.)
I'd prefer we had stayed focused on Al Queda. I'd prefer Bush not lying to us, and taking away our civil rights (yours and mine).
Oh, and how do you know what I care about?
I know the party line is "If you don't support everything we say, then you are a traitor," but just because you say that doesn't make it true.
White House journalist should serve at the pleasure of the President. Have Gonzo replace the current ones with all Fox reporters; to hell with the free press.
Thanks Josh, we love advice from people seething with hate.
I can't believe that people still believe in this President. Is it that these people don't know when they are being lied to? Do they have to believe in their heroes so much that they refuse to even consider wrong doing or dishonesty by them?
What is it? I don't understand such blind foolishness.
Helen Thomas is a left wing liberal who has never met a Republican she likes. She harassed Reagan at every press conference. She is of the same old leftis, female, mold as Bella Abzugand others..
I find her to be as vile as they get..
lamestradamnus - but haven't YOU hated him since the Gore defeat? When did YOU even give him a chance?

So what? Didn't the administration have some gay republican escort, Jeff Gannon use up a valuable seat that could have been used by a real journalist. I believe one of his unbiased and thought provoking question was "....how are you going to work with people who seem to have divorced themselves from reality?"
Will NONE of the liberal posters here condemn Josh's attack on gays? Or is it OK to attack a "Republican" for that?
Meanwhile, since Josh diverted attention from the subject at hand with some disgusting hate speech - maybe cfrazy Helen does represent the voiuce of certain lefty wackos. She should run for office then.
man - I type awful.
Let the old scag sit where she wants. Not like the President has to call on her anyway. You'd think the old bag would get a face lift first if she wants the front row. There is only so many wrikles and sags a person can take.
I condemn kahn.
Cheers!
Eric - refuses to condemn an attack on gayness. Thanks. Just getting to the heart of the culture of hate.
Don't get mad when I point out a Nazi similarity, OK? Hating Republicans and sacrificing your other beliefs to attack them is a pretty bad implication of your evil natures.
Will NONE of the liberal posters here condemn Josh's attack on gays? Or is it OK to attack a "Republican" for that?

What can I say, what is there to attack, it was his profession. He ran an escort service for gays. He was not a journalist in the tradition of Helen Thomas as the White House would have you believe. Therefore gay or not he did not deserve a seat.
I just think it is a fair question and ask it again. If you are going to give Helen the boot, why does the operator of a gay escort service get one of the prize seats in the room?
You ask a fair question Josh. I doubt very much that you will get a fair answer, though. What I would like to know is why so many posters here think Helen Thomas, a seasoned vetern of the White House press corps, would need to be kicked out in the first place. She did put her colleagues to shame, time after time, by asking the questions they all should have had the balls to ask but didn't, but for that she should be commended not ostercized.
We all should thank our lucky stars that a person of character occupies that seat and not some phony so-called reporter planted by the Administration.
Uh huh. Good. But he wasn't there for long was he? Just a few news confereces if I remember. Not a permanent member like HH. Can you people even remember his name?
Is gay bashing one individual all you have? You do this pretty often don't you?
Whatever - you're a little too hypocritical for me. Either that, or you're obsessed with his crotch.
You had to go and mention his crotch? Way to go kahn. Always keeping the discourse family friendly.
