I don't know if it bodes well for America to have all those folks with such faulty memories in positions of power.

It seems that Republicans have confused the words "prosecute" and "persecute" for the latest source of ridiculous victimization: a runaway justice system. We are supposed to feel sorry for Republicans because they've supposedly been indicted and convicted more often than Democrats? The party of personal responsibility has officially turned into the party of "b-b-but the Democrats...waaaaaah"

No Gar, we don't expect any synmpathy whatsoever. But what we do expect is for the DemocRAT party to do what they campaigned on...which so far has been all talk and about nineteen different cut-n-run strategies for Iraq that couldn't pass muster with their pathetic focus groups.

"Hey Harry, let's try this plan, or how about this one, or how about this one........puke."

Geez, how many "sister sites" do you guys have?? And why are they all popping up in some relation to a "faggot" comment that Coulter made? Come on, "out" with it -- which one of you guys is Coulter? Lol!

I'm just kidding.

"A faggot isn't a queer, a faggot is a whimp. A faggot is the guy that won't go with you when you go downtown to beat up queers." George Carlin

Rathaven, as I recall your old definition of a "faggot" was a bundle of wood. How does your new definition map onto that? And when are you going to get to the British definition of a "fag" as one cigarette in a pack?

As if it mattered on any level but dissemblance.

there is really no point arguing about what Ann Coulter meant or didn't meant..
She is either
1) clinically insane
2) a "shock jock" of the political right who doesn't believe most of what she says herself...

Have you noticed that it seems that this thread turned immediately into a "don't like the message so we'll shoot the messenger" line of rationale.

Obviously Ann Coulter is inflammatory. Just as Michael Moore is. Or Susan Sarandon and Mr. Susan Sarandon are.

NO ONE SHOULD GET AWAY WITH SAYING SOMETHING INFLAMMATORY JUST BECAUSE WE AGREE WITH THEIR PHILOSOPHY.

Ann Coulter is 100% right in that in recent memory, the gulf between what's OKAY for one party as "typical" behavior isn't OKAY for the other.

Most telling is Charlie Rangel's statement about how DeLay, who wasn't indicted at the time, that he should resign because of the cloud of corruption surrounding him, yet he remains ABSOLUTELY silent when it comes to Mr. Jefferson of Louisiana, who now has access to classified information, and we know he's at least been observed by some to warrant an investigation for bribery.

Also telling, is the Prosecutor of Palm Beach. Odd that a child rapist doesn't even get an investigation but Rush gets gone after for years for buying pills illegally.

What's so odd is that the Left (not necessarily all posters here) seem to be soo happy about Libby's conviction for ONLY perjury and obstruction of justice... oddly enough, the EXACT same crimes Bill Clinton was accused of.

And the only difference between those two people is one actually has the job to enforce laws on perjury and obstruction of justice, and the other was the chief assistant to the Vice President.

And as even Fitzgerald said, it's not about the underlying investigation or crime, these are serious crimes on their own. Right?

Sort of like getting upset with you, kblack, because you don't know your arse from a hole in the ground. What a waste of bandwidth you are.
