Mark,
Are any other people having a problem posting comments at GOP Bloggers?
As I have said in at least 5 or 6 e-mails during the past 8 months or so, I haven't been able to post a comment to GOP Bloggers since early last summer. Before then, I could and did post a few comments. I tried again this morning, and still cannot post a comment there!
It seems like you and Matt are trying to get more people to read and post to GOP Bloggers, but judging from the relatively few number of comments, that obviously hasn't happened. Perhaps some people like myself have tried many times and have finally given up because the system will not allow them to post their comments. Perhaps I'm the only one having a problem posting there.
Also, I don't think the "post a comment" format and software works there as well as the one on B4B -- aside from the fact that it doesn't work at all for me.
(I still can't read the B4B comments on the archives prior to December 2006!)

AAR,
Folks don't post to blogs they don't read. Maybe it's the name of the blog? Bush isn't very popular thses days. Maybe Matt should try another name? How about:
"Blogs for Busch"
"Is it 2008 yet Blog"
"The Decider Blog"
"Blogs for the other Bush"
"Blogs for Bozo"
"Sorry about the whole Iraq thing Blog"
and last but not least,
"Blogs for Gore"

Maybe Matt could change the site name to:
SpitOnVets
BurnUSflag
KillerAmerica
UnitedStatesSucks
WeAreAfraidOfJesus
TerroristsAreCool
ChickenLittle
GlobalWarmingIsRealWeAreAllGoingToDie
Then again, there would be nothing but liberals here, and lets face it, no one really likes liberals.

Republicans lost the elections last year because the voters felt the only way to send a message about their dislike for Bush was to vote Dem. GOP politicians ran locally because they knew what the RNC didn't---that the public was sick of the war in Iraq and that issues like gay marriage and abortion didn't carry much weight.
Look for illegal immigration to emerge as a larger issue in 2008. The GOP could win on it, it's probably the one issue the GOP has over the Dems when it comes to the vast majority of the American people (me included). And THAT'S what the Reps need to do: reconnect with the swing voter. The Karl Rove strategy is dead. Play to your base and you will lose.

I think the last election had votes that were very
close(no huge numbers for the Dems) within each party, and the Dems won by some narrow leads. This in mind, DOES NOT indicate that it was ALL about the War-I don't think it was, as Americans want to know that they are secure, and we need to fight the Terrorists "over there, rather than on our own land". I think as Jay, that it was MORE about the complacency the GOP showed against illegal immigration, and they certainly NEED to get serious about fighting this illegal invasion, that everyone I talk to is totally against. Not only that, I think most Americans feel, the Mexican border is the sieve that can easily be used by full blown Terrorists to enter our country. We WANT to feel secure, and I don't think any one issue is why the GOP lost, but they
need to get fired up on this 2008 election, and show some balls, when fighting against the smears and lies of the Dems. Believe me, Hillary would not stop at anything to discredit the GOP, and it would take a Guilliani, to stop her in her tracks
because HE knows too much, being one who brought the criminal element in N.Y. under control-and so, he would need to do the same with the Clinton's who aren't much more than that as well.
In other words, Rudy WON'T be afraid to confront
Hillary with her "past deeds, along with her Co-
President-Bill".
While I know that bloggers here, want to look for an 'anti-abortion' candidate, I personally don't like the narrow field they are pushing themselves into to find such a candidate, and possibly could be overlooking someone like Rudy, who would be a great President when it comes to protecting us from Terrorists. You need to think about a person who can give you "most of what you want, rather than dismiss someone over ONE issue, that I personally think should remain a PRIVATE MATTER".
