Although it remains uncertain, it is believed that one of Iran's top nuclear scientists was assassinated by Israeli intelligence:
Iranian nuclear scientist ‘assassinated by Mossad’
Sarah Baxter, Washington
A PRIZE-WINNING Iranian nuclear scientist has died in mysterious circumstances, according to Radio Farda, which is funded by the US State Department and broadcasts to Iran.
An intelligence source suggested that Ardeshire Hassanpour, 44, a nuclear physicist, had been assassinated by Mossad, the Israeli security service.
Hassanpour worked at a plant in Isfahan where uranium hexafluoride gas is produced. The gas is needed to enrich uranium in another plant at Natanz which has become the focus of concerns that Iran may be developing nuclear weapons.
As you will remember, it was the Israelis who had gifted the world by
blasting Iraq's nuclear program back to the stone age in 1981.
It would appear that our Israeli friends have again rendered the world a favor.
I must remember to send them a thank-you card.

Hmm... I wonder how the world will react to this. Personally I think this is a little too late, but hopefully it helps.

It's never too late Gozer!
There are a few items missing from their nuke making recipe though that they (Iranian's), and many other countries haven't obtained yet...High Energy Rate Forgings or HERF of the triggering vessel and containment devices that house each. This technology cannot be substituted with machined vessels or low energy forgings due to the delamination of the grainflow and the longevity of such.
This technology was introduced to France in 1982 to assist with maintaining a longer shelf life and they received the technology from the USA in 1984. The problem with nukes is shelf life and the need to be "changed out" on a frequent basis due to the volatile nature and if these HERF forgings aren't used, the containment vessels would degrade considerably faster than with HERF.
I'm sure there's much more to it, but this I know first hand.

navydad - shelf life doesn't matter if you're planning on using the weapons right away!
I wonder who else is on the Iraeli de-expertification list?

And, boy, I'll bet Mossad is just tickled pink that a US-based radio service just fingered them as the assassins. After the last few months, this kind of publicity is the last thing the Israelis need.
Doesn't anybody in this country understand that some things need to be kept secret?

Ahhh, revel in death, breathe deep as you wring your sweaty cold clammy hands in fear. Eyes darting. Twitching. When, oh when, will relief come?

Of course, the world will react with outrage against Israel. Iran has made it no secret that they want to wipe out Israel (and the U.S.).

Whose death? Question, who will Iran use these weapons on? Are you saying the world has nothing to fear, that it is a big hoax???
If so, provide reasons!
If not, STFU!

Tired,
Don't let Raker bother you; that's his goal. Read any of his posts and try to find anything that contributes to the debate. He's from SanFran, home of Blinky Mimi. I'd be willing to wager that he's got a drawer full of pink socks...

Geez Kahn...I hadn't thought of it that way.
Maybe we ought to claim the SL on our nukes is about to expire...eh?

My understanding is that a number of high level Iranian military types have met their maker in plane crashes over the last couple of years. As far as I know, no evidence of sabotage has been claimed, but it does make you wonder.

Well, at least they have all those virgins to comfort them, although, I suspect that, over the last few years, our military actions have put a significant dent in the pool of available virgins, heh.

While Israel does have its hanky-twisting contingent, for the most part they do have spines, and manly parts, and do not cringe in fear of losing some popularity contest. They have stood up when necessary, and I think we can count on them to continue doing so. Mossad is a truly fearsome foe, and I really enjoy learning of their successes. Thank God Israel is not hampered by the swooning, hypersensitive, hyperemotional, BS crowd we have to deal with here.
