Defending Scooter Libby

Now that the Democrats have won there majority, it is time to set some things right: in Scooter Libby, we have a man slandered into an indictment by the Democrats and their MSM lapdogs, and we need to help this honorable man out.

Please go over to the Libby Legal Defense Trust and make a donation - if we don't stand behind those on our side who wind up the target of a Democratic character assasination, then we'll find fewer and fewer good men like Libby willing to enter politics.

Excuse me but I think you have your words worng.

In your post you said "we have a man SLANDERED into an indictment"...

This is not only wrong but very, very misleading. I know you wouldn't mislead the sheep but let's get the record straight. This is not the fault of the democrats. To find the person to blame Scooter only has to look into the mirror.

Slander (n) the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation: eg:he is suing the TV network for slander.

Perjury (n) the offense of willfully telling an untruth in a court after having taken an oath or affirmation: eg he lied to the grand jury and was indicited for perjury

It probably is best for Scooter to get his eglal defense fund going now 'cause shortly there are going to be as many legal defense funds as there are republicans in office.

You republicans set the bar real low when you went after Bill. As my departed mother used to say. "The way you make your bed is the way you are going to sleep in it." Goodnight boys

Thanks to the clown in the Lacrosse rape case, we now have a verb for what happened to Scooter Libby:

Nifonged: The chaotic result when a leftist, ambitious prosecutor, provided cover by a left-wing media, adhering to an established international left narrative, prosecutes a target who is symbolic of an adversary in the left narrative, mostly unfairly and generally overly aggressively.

Examples of Nifonged: Haditha (Marines in the fog of war are accused of murder and evidence is systematically leaked to a military hating media.)

Scooter Libby: The Nifong prosecutor in this case passes over more likely candidates for prosecution to strike at a leftist narrative target. Libby was chosen for particular focus because he represented a neocon and was Chief of Staff to the hated Vice President.

The loon-like lamentations of Joe aside - not understanding the fundamental presumption of innocence inherent in our system of criminal justice and the defined difference between "lying" and making an apparently erroneous statement - my problem is with the use of the word democratic in the phrase, "Democratic character assassination." There is nothing democratic about it, unless fools like Murtha and Louisiana's Jefferson are also duly assassinated by their Democrat faithful.

Mark, even the DBM mislead the unwashed left, when they use their "only man indicted in the CIA leak case" phrase to identify Scooter, making it appear as if Scooter was indicted for being the leaker.

Despite all the "new media" out there, the DBM still controls the minds of the unwashed.

We must pray for all their Godless souls...

NOw the media think they have a right to have a tape recording of every single day that the trial goes on - the arrogance of these idiots!

Hey did you know that Russert will be testifying; has be been discussing that weekly on Meet the Press; if not why not; the public has a right to know!
