I gotta tell you, Matt; in all honesty, not a single individual on that list really lights my fire, not to the extent that Reagan did. I'm still holding out hope that Condi will change her mind, but I wouldn't be surprised is the next GOP nominee is someone who's not even on your list. Think about January 1999. George W. Bush wasn't even a blip on the radar.

Brownback lost whatever little credibility he had when he decided to take the populist stance on the war. I guarantee that Lott, Brownback and all the other spineless republicans are doing this for nothing other than political epediency. As VDH pointed out in a recent column; Reagan had Beirut, Bush Sr. had Iraq and Clinton had Somalia. All three didn't have the stomach to see it through. G.W. is standing by his convictions and is potentially sacrificing his own favorable historical perspective. Granted I don't think that will happen because in the end he will be justified and vindicated but most importantly this country will see the benefits of the sacrifices made by our president and our military.

Hagel's a joke, a RINO puke. He may as well pack in any aspirations for the WH, unless he switches parties...

Ron Paul from Texas looks like he would be a good candidate. If he decides to run, I am supporting him.

I would like to see a Mitt Romney for president Vice president Mike Huckabee
Those would be two good conservative candidates for the presidency or a Mitt Romney vice president Jeb bush ticket
