Once A Sore Loser...

...always a sore loser.

Sen. John Kerry said Sunday he will vote against Supreme Court nominee Judge Samuel A. Alito Jr. because he fears Alito would take the country "backwards."

Kerry, the failed Democratic nominee for president in 2004, also voted against now-Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. But Alito, Kerry said Sunday, goes even farther than Roberts in undermining established legal precedents.

A flash point during Alito's confirmation hearings was a 1985 memo he wrote saying that the "Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion" despite the Supreme Court's 1973 Row v. Wade decision.

"I think he will shut the door of court access to the average person in America ... ," Kerry said Sunday on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos." "I will vote against him because I think he will take the court backwards."

I guess that means Kerry thinks that slavery and segregation should still be legal because they were "established legal precedents."

Of course, I never expected Kerry to ever vote for a Bush nominee, but it is still sad he has to make up bogus reasons to cover up the fact he's a sore loser.

Kerry's entire life is "bogus".

Posted by: Rplat at January 22, 2006 06:49 PM

I think we need to make sure when we call sKerry a Loser, we always make sure to capitalize the "L." This guy is not only bogus, he can't even make up his mind whose side he is on.

We have Jimmy Carter, for FAILED President saying words to the effect that at least Hamas terrorists aren't corrupt. Now, we have another sKerry quip saying the reason Al Qaeda hasn't hit us again is because of all their successes against our troops.

All Things Right

From FAILED Presidential Candidate to FAILED Human?

Dude, you're an F'n idiot.

Of course, I never expected Kerry to ever vote for a Bush nominee...

Again, because you're an F'n idiot.

but it is still sad he has to make up bogus reasons to cover up the fact he's a sore loser.

Bogus? Loser? Alito would work to expand the Presidents powers! That's not bogus, but the truth. Kerry takes his vote in the Senate seriously. That's not being a loser, but being responsable.

Of course, I never expected Kerry to ever vote for a Bush nominee

Again, you are showing that you are just dumb. Fact is that Kerry has voted for many, many, Bush nominees. He won't vote for one that undermines the liberty of the people. He won't vote for one that will give the President unchecked powers.

Kerry's entire life is "bogus".

This entire site is "bogus."

*******

And yet, regretably, you keep coming back.

Posted by: phnxbmed at January 22, 2006 07:41 PM

Kerry is tackling the issues, not voting against Alito for the petty reason of losing.

Posted by: SUSA at January 22, 2006 07:51 PM

Abortion is an abomination. So is the death penalty and war. Alito swore an oath and failed to keep it and is therefore a liar. That is moral turpitude and makes him unfit for office. Peace

Posted by: steve at January 22, 2006 07:51 PM

Then why are you here Slip if the entire site is bogus? You know I do try to take you seriously and treat you with proper dignity and respect but you surely push the boundries of politeness. (I'm sure my friends won't be nearly as polite.)

The point is that Segregation and Slavery were, at one time, "Established Legal Precidents." There's no arguing that fact especially when the Constitution itself mentions slaves as being only 3/5's a person.

As for how Alito would "expand the president's powers" how does a judge do that? Seriously Judges are not supposed to define the powers of the other branches, their powers are deffined in the Constitution.

Honestly, I can't stand Ginsburg but she has every right to be there since she was qualified for the job. Same holds for Alito, he's qualified for the job. Is there any way you can say he's not qualified for the job?

Posted by: Gozer [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 22, 2006 07:52 PM

He won't vote for one that undermines the liberty of the people.

Hey Slippy. Do you have any idea how sKerry voted for Ruth Bader Ginsberg? Souter? Or, any of the other Justices who voted to have local government freely take our Private Property and sell it to another Private Developer, under emminent domain, so they can hopefully collect more taxes?

Wanna bet he voted for them?

Posted by: Lew Waters [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 22, 2006 07:55 PM

"Then why are you here, Slip, if the entire site is bogus?"

Gozer, don't waste your time trying to reason with Slip. The only reason Slip's here is that his lefty masters at Kos, Atrios or wherever assigned him to spy on and disrupt Blogs for Bush. He's our official Minister of Misinformation. Best ignored.

Posted by: JPL at January 22, 2006 08:23 PM

Boycott Slippy-Dippy, guys; he just crossed the line. Called Matt a F'n idiot twice, and called this site bogus. Pretty F'n good for someone who's posted here more in the last few months than most, and has never cited evidence for his stupid, juvenile assertions. Go read his blog, but on an empty stomach. This F'n dumba** can't spell, can't write, and doesn't link to any evidence. He writes an editorial and calls it fact. Ban him, Matt; he deserves no audience here.

Slipsh*t, you're a F'n girly-boy; I'd bit**-slap you if I could, and you'd cry like a six-year old. Go on back to your F'n blog and correct your numerous writing errors, you F'n girly-boy.

Now the rest of you have a great evening; stop responding to the girly-boy, and he'll go away. I've said all I'm going to say to this waste of oxygen, unless he wants to mosey on down to Maryland and discuss the issues in person. I wouldn't bet on it...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 22, 2006 08:33 PM

If the Democrats wonder why they're not in the White House in 2006, I have but two words for them: John Kerry.
If ever there was a concerted effort by many media outlets, nearly all of Hollywood, the Union power brokers, et al, it was in 2004 against George W. Bush. And they all, every single one of them, lost. They lost because their party nominated a straw man, John F. Kerry.

I would vote for Hillary over him any day of the week.

Posted by: John at January 22, 2006 08:59 PM

Hi,

Just wanted to give a little historical backdrop to the consitution calling slaves 3/5 of a person.

This was actually a move against the slave states, as they wanted their slaves to count fully in determining represenatation in Congress.

Posted by: Joelist at January 22, 2006 09:05 PM

Yes yes, we all know the various curse words, I don't think anyone needs them to bolster or replace their arguments. Get a life slip, or get an argument, preferably the latter.

AAAHHHH come on guys, take it easy on slippy! He's a liberal after all. Once that fact has been established with these posters they really can do no harm! Plus I think slippy just had a slip of the tongue! What he meant to say was, as a known liberal Senator he won't vote for one(supreme court nominee) that will give the President & the conservative party the agenda that will detroy liberalism as we know it! under any circumsatnces! That's what you really meant right slippy. As for the language, Keefer, Gozer, JPL, Lew, John, joelist, jonathan. What more could you expect from a dying party, a sinking ship, an outdated hairstyle, I mean we should be feeling sorry for them(not!). Well I will be the first to say I have responded likewise when my buttons get pushed, of course they are usually pushed over things like killing babies or aiding & abetting terrorist with their(liberals) words or being traitors to the U.S.A., not the demise of my parties political power in the face of serious idealogical flaw & lack of integrity!

Posted by: bearmanUSMC [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 22, 2006 09:56 PM

Speaking of dying parties, Matt:
I hope that tomorrow night there will be a thread where we can discuss the Canadian Elections.

So, Take Off You Liberal Hosers eh.

Yeah, and Kerry is such a forward thinker... Not.

Posted by: tom at January 22, 2006 11:29 PM

It is laughable, that Anyone would come to the aid
of Kerry with ANYTHING HE HAS TO SAY. This, the
Treasonist himself during Viet Nam, who lied to Congress when desparaging his own fellow soldiers
and later, was photographed at the Viet Cong Museum (photo is verified) being "Thanked for helping them defeat the enemy-America"....Oh by all means Slip-re-eel...defend Kerry-another like
you, liberal, lying, Anti-American. Kerry is
passe' ...just like Kennedy....Just like the rest
of these "white flag - Terrorist, aiders and enablers"...Pelosi, Reid, Biden, etc., etc., etc.

Posted by: Jo [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 23, 2006 02:07 AM

Then why are you here Slip if the entire site is bogus?

Once again, for those in the cheap seats, this is the reason I'm here.

As for how Alito would "expand the president's powers" how does a judge do that?

Are you serious, stupid, or do you get paid to do this. I'll assume that you are serious. Alito could say, in a court ruling, like in ACLU v Bush, Sam could say, the power of the executive is not just to execute the law, but to do whatever the f' he wants to. Sam could also say that the bill or rights doesn't apply in a time of war, though it was written in a time of war. He could also say that the 4th amendment is so old that it doesn't apply any more. He could also say checks and balances is also a dated idea.

Posted by: Slipgrid [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 23, 2006 09:51 AM

Kerry is so out of touch with Americans...64 million told him to take a hike. More people voted AGAINST J Fnn K than any person in the history of US political campaigns, that is a FACT Slipnut wants to ignore.

Supreme Court Justice Alito has a nice ring to it...the ring that drives moonbats wild.

Karl, you are a genuis and master moonbat slayer of the DoD (Destroyers of Demoncrats).

Bahahahahaaaaa.....

Sounds like a good reason to give him a lifetime appointment, aye?

Posted by: Slipgrid [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 23, 2006 10:52 AM

Kerry votes not for the people but out of spite.

Posted by: Carl at January 23, 2006 10:56 AM

Aye!

Just wait Slip til ya see Supreme Court Justice's Roberts and Alito walk into the chamber.
All camera's will be on them...it'll be beautiful...I'm getting weepy eyed just thinking about it. Bet you will be crying too.

Slip, you gonnna live blog the SOTU on the 31st? You let dl and I down on the Alito hearings.

We can have another vote.

All those in favor of Slipgrid conducting a live blog of President Bush's SOTU say aye.

Aye!

Posted by: Nebraska Militia [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 23, 2006 01:17 PM

Kerry is so out of touch with Americans...64 million told him to take a hike.

59 million told Bush to take a hike (or maybe a more extreme trip). Is the magic number 60 million to divide in touch with out of touch?

Slip:

Have you noticed how you are personally attacked and your link to the fact that a large sector of this country still believes that Sadaam + Iraq had something to do with 9-11 is ignored? Guess they are too busy listening to Rush.

Posted by: DeeCee48 [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 23, 2006 01:27 PM

Thanks for making a note Dee. I was so spun by the disinformation here that I hadn't even noticed. Stuff like "Kerry votes not for the people but out of spite" and "just wait Slip til ya see Supreme Court Justice's Roberts and Alito walk into the chamber...I'm getting weepy eyed just thinking about it." These people don't know or understand these policies. It seems like they don't even care. But one day, one of the will have a son or daughter that hits the hard realities of the Bush policy. I just hope, for their sake, that it doesn't happen on the battle field.

I'll think abou doing the State of the Union Address live.

Posted by: Slipgrid [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 23, 2006 04:57 PM

Kerry can join Kennedy back Mass. where neither can make up their minds. Apparently Kerry has rubbed off on Kennedy. Somehow he felt confident enough to advance Alito's career to the 3rd District Court of Appeals in 1990, but I am guessing with old age his memory is fading.

Posted by: bean82 at January 23, 2006 07:06 PM

Careful, bean82; this type of talk excites AC/DeeCee48IQ, and you know what I'm talkin' about!

"Slip: Have you noticed how...your link to the fact that a large sector of this country still believes that Sadaam + Iraq had something to do with 9-11 is ignored? -- DeeCee48"

Actually, what's even more remarkable is the fact that Slip and DeeCee48 are the last 2 idiots in the entire universe to realize that Saddam was up to his eyeballs in terrorism. Here are only a few examples of Saddam's support for Islamist terrorist activities against the U.S.:

1.) Saddam gave refuge, housing and monthly stipends to terrorist Abdul Rahman Yasin, the al Qaeda killer who mixed the chemicals for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

2.) Saddam plotted to assassinate a U.S. president.

3.) Saddam sent his Director of Intelligence to Sudan to meet with Osama bin Laden in July 1996 to discuss mutual cooperation, and to offer help in making letter and parcel bombs, and bombs that could be placed on aircraft and detonated by changes in barometric pressure.

4.) Saddam had his #1 explosives maker, Salim al Ahmed, stay with bin Laden in Sudan in 1996 and instruct him in bomb-making.

5.) Saddam hosted a conference of Islamist terrorists in 1999 that included al-Zawahiri and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

6.) Saddam sheltered Zarqawi in Baghdad before the Iraq war and refused Jordan's request to extradite him to Jordan.

7.) Saddam openly hosted notorious Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal, mastermind of the 1985 Achille Lauro hijacking and murder of wheelchair-bound Leon Klinghoffer. (In fact, when Christopher Hitchens went to interview Abu Nidal in Baghdad, Nidal was operating out of an Iraqi government office. )

8.) Saddam allowed Abu Nidal to complete Mohamed Atta’s hijack training regimen in Baghdad in 2001.

9.) Saddam allowed a Baghdad newspaper to publish an article predicting a major al Qaeda attack against U.S. targets in New York and Washington, DC using commercial jetliners, only a month or so before the actual 9/11 attacks.

10.) Immediately after 9/11, a broadly beaming Saddam was depicted in a huge propaganda poster of the 9/11 attack.

11.) Saddam allowed Islamist terrorist camps to be established in Iraq both before and after 9/11, where over 10,000 Islamist terrorists were trained in terror techniques.

So it seems that average Americans -- who believe that Saddam was deeply involved in terrorism, and whom SlipDip and DeeCee obviously despise -- actually have much more common sense than either of these 2 liberal idiots.

annie, imho, you're correct, and we need to stop, until this ****wad apologizes to Matt for his F'n idiot remark. I'd have banned the F'n girly-boy by now, but then, I consider the website owner and moderators off-limits when it comes to name-calling. And I've been banned from lefty blogs for less.

Apparently Kerry has rubbed off on Kennedy.

bean, when I commented on this earlier, I meant to say that AC/DeeCee48IQ make take it out of context and get excited. I know what you meant, but these donk-turd trolls aren't that smart. They need our guidance...
