Feinstein Reneges, Will Vote 'No' On Cloture

Ironic isn't it? Feinstein flip-flops for Kerry's filibuster...

UPDATE: More at GOP Bloggers.

She's joining Reid, Durbin, Kennedy, Kerry, and Shrillary. I think the Red-State Democrats will vote for cloture. If not, Frist had better pull the trigger on the Constitutional Option, or my voter registration card will once again read.....................Independent. Sorry donks, I'll never put a "D" behind my name. Slick Willie took care of that option while I was in the military, and right after I retired. Donks, the mainstream left, are morally bankrupt...

Imagine that a Democrat giong back on their word LOL who would of thunk it lol. Man i wish we could vote her out this year in California but who knows..

Posted by: Jodi at January 27, 2006 05:40 PM

There will definately be cloture... I'm pretty sure that the democrat members of the gang of 14 won't stand for this retarded filibuster.

Doesn't mean that they should change the Senate Rules though.

Posted by: Georgia Frawg [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 27, 2006 05:47 PM

The reason no one respects the democratic party is because the democratic party does not respect itself. The dem party has no soul. Just nothing there. Sad.

Posted by: james allegro at January 27, 2006 06:01 PM

Doesn't mean that they should change the Senate Rules though.

They won't, as long as cloture is approved Monday. And I hope that candle-faced liar runs again in '08; I'd love to see him, Shrillary, and Joe the Plagarist hash it out at the primary debates, while Mark Warner quietly shuffles into the mix.

Hey, Cindy Shriekhan, all the way from Venezuela, said she'd run against Feinstein in the senatorial primaries if Feinstein didn't support a filibuster. What part of "Your 15 minutes of fame are up, go get a nose job," doesn't this evil, deluded kook understand?

These people are a disgrace, but predictable.

Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND) is "leaning towards" voting for Alito. Predictable.

I'd love to vote Feinstein out of office! Anyone considering running against her (except Sheehan, of course)?

Posted by: Freedom1 [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 27, 2006 07:53 PM

Actually it's not ironic at all. More coincidental.
Irony is spreading democracy as part of the war on terror, only to have a Terrorist group capture a majority of seats.

Posted by: slaw at January 27, 2006 07:54 PM

The GOP is such a joke in California (like Illinois) there is no chance whatsoever that Dianne is booted. It's a shame, but I live here and California majorly "screwed" in all areas.

Posted by: Jim at January 27, 2006 07:56 PM

Well, I know this isn't going to go far, but before Ginzburg was even nominated, her name and others' names were run by the Republicans in Congress, and Orin Hatch agreed that Ginzburg would be a good nomination. There was a bipartisan consensus, and then her nomination was announced. Really is too bad we're overrun by bullies nowadays -- a lot of good Republicans have been forced out (like former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey)only to be replaced by what Bush prefers. He's supposed to be a president, not a king.

This is all theater. The secure defeatocrats must put up a good show for their moonbat base so that the financial support continues to flow.

At the same time, they know that there are certain members of their party who could be in danger if they vote against Alito or vote against cloture.

Finally they know that Frist is serious about the Constitutional option. If that is invoked, they can kiss Roe, as well as any more judicial activism if either Kennedy (age 70), Ginsberg (age 73) or Stevens (age 86!!!) pack it in before 2008.

Both Kennedy and Ginsburg are rumored to be in ill health and Stevens ain't no spring chicken.

I know its too much to hope for, but if all three went in the next year or two??? It would mean a conservative court for the next 30 years at least!!!

Agreed. It's mainly for publicity and campaign fundraising.

That'd be awesome!!!

Speaking of moonbat base . . . .

A couple of weeks ago, sKerry began blogging over at Daily Kos. Today, Kennedy started blogging there, too. Both are sucking up all the adoration from the far leff and believing these are the people they need to please. Delusional does not begin to describe their ideology.

"Your 15 minutes of fame are up, go get a nose job,"

Do you really have to make a racist remark like that? Aren't you satisfied with winning?

Posted by: Robert K Meyer Jr at January 27, 2006 11:56 PM

Getting a nose job is Racist? Wow...

Anyway, I'm not surprised at least about this switch. I'd love to personally run against Feinstein here in Cali, but I'm not old enough or well known enough yet to make a run. OH well...

Start small, work my way up to her. ;)

Obviously we're dealing with the domestic evil empire of the blue states and the NSDP is its political wing.

David Horowitz and his campaign to fight the iron-fisted control, politicization, and corruption of America's campuses by LIEberals is the closest thing that we have to Ronald Reagan and his desire to take down the Berlin Wall.

How much longer can the left's intellectual sandcastles last?

Posted by: Sirc_Valence [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 28, 2006 04:04 AM

The Democrat leaders have openly and publicly declared that the only morality they recognize is that which will further their cause, which is world repulsion.

Posted by: Sirc_Valence [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 28, 2006 04:06 AM

Well, I know this isn't going to go far, but before Ginzburg was even nominated, her name and others' names were run by the Republicans in Congress,...

Lie of the day, Doe, and if you'd tune in and listen to Orrin Hatch, you'd realize that. The fact is, he alone consulted with Clinton and suggested Ruth Buzzy Ginsburg as a qualified jurist. You see, that was back when a President wasn't hogtied in his judicial nominations, and unless there were actual, not fabricated, circumstances, his picks were confirmed, by an overwhelming majority. Not so these days. Roberts was confirmed 78-22; back then, he'd have had over 90 "yes" votes. Now, Alito--that's "Alioto" for you Ted Kennedy worshipers--will get probably around 60 votes if he's lucky, and these leftist kooks from safe states are supporting a filibuster. It's a travesty, and it's gonna bite your party in the ass.

President Bush has consulted with more senators on one nominee than Clinton did on all of his. President Bush has authorized the most federal funding for stem cell research. President Bush has provided more money to Africa to combat AIDS than Slick did--just ask Bob Geldoff or Bono. So, who's doing more than whom, when it comes to "presidentin'?"

I know its too much to hope for, but if all three went in the next year or two??? It would mean a conservative court for the next 30 years at least!!!

I don't wish death upon anyone except terrorist thugs adn dictators, phnxbmed--I just want them to retire and live out their last days peacefully. However, I will not be wearing black, nor will I be mourning on the day they plant the Swimmer. I wonder if Teddy will ask to be buried at sea.

So now I, an "angry white man," am a racist to suggest that Cindy Shriekhan, an angry, usgly white woman, get a nose job?Robert KKK Meyer, what alternative universe are you occupying? And no, I'm not satisfied with winning. That's not what's at stake fotr this country. Unfortunately, moonbat kooks such as yourself are concerned with nothing but winning, as if winning will make everything peachy. Let me educate you, moonbat kook: If we were to succumb--that's lose, for you speudo-intellectuals on the left--to these Islamofascists, it's you kook moonbats who would be on the chopping block first, for you immoral philosophies. First, the gays, than, the imbibers, then, all the powerful women. What part of "they want to wipe out the infidels" don't you idiots understand?

I'd love to vote Feinstein out of office! Anyone considering running against her (except Sheehan, of course)?

Freedom, she's got that seat as long as she wants it, just like my senior senator, Babs Mikulski. Mexifornia is a lost cause, and it's a shame, because there are some fine GOP members of the House there...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 28, 2006 06:01 AM

I think a Sheehan-Feinstein race would be a hoot! Imagine the battle when the hippies, terrorist apologists, welfare addicts, and other assorted freaks of nature go to war aginst each other!Knowing the liberals as they are today,i wouldnt count Sheehan out if she ran.Feinstein would most likely win it but it would be great spectator sport.

Posted by: kurt diekelman at January 28, 2006 06:04 PM

Your cute remark about "a nose job" is obviously aimed at Feinstein, herr Keefer. How are you going to "educate" me? Take my Bible away and replace it with your Protocols? Maybe I'm just a "moonbat kook", but I would rather die with my Bible in my hand than live under your "re-education" program. People like you may rule the world temporarily, but God rules the universe eternally.

Posted by: Robert K Meyer Jr at January 28, 2006 06:46 PM

One more thing from the "moonbat kook": I can only pray that this generation is an exception to the maxim, "those who will not learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them."

Posted by: Robert K Meyer Jr at January 28, 2006 09:59 PM

Oh, for heaven's sake Robert K..grow up...he obviously meant Cindy's nose..that is what he said.
besides if you really know what Di Fi looks like..her nose is petite....either naturally or artifically..

Posted by: Xango Annie at January 28, 2006 10:10 PM

What did you expect Feinstein to hand you a gold embossed ticket giving you her vote with out a question of a doubt? Yeah right!
