In this campaign we've seen Kerry talking the talk, pretending to be Mr. Tough-On-Terrorism. Kerry is making extraordinary efforts to combat the reality that he is a flip flopper - constantly repeating the claim he's always been consistent.
It is laughable how John Kerry not only thinks his flip-flopping will go unnoticed, and the worst part is he thinks he can get away with it in the same debate. In last night's debate, Kerry said the following:
”Well, let me tell you straight up: I've never changed my mind about Iraq. I do believe Saddam Hussein was a threat. I always believed he was a threat.
But later on in the debate, talking about Iran, he said:
I don't think you can just rely on U.N. sanctions, Randee. But you're absolutely correct, [Iran] is a threat, it's a huge threat. And what's interesting is, it's a threat that has grown while the president has been preoccupied with Iraq, where there wasn't a threat.”
Iraq "was a threat"... "wasn't a threat"...
This is what we're talking about... This is what Bush has been talking about. We need steady and decisive leadership. John Kerry has made our national security a partisan issue by going back and forth between classifying Saddam Hussein as a threat to our country.
George W. Bush wants to protect America first, while John Kerry wants to protect his political ambitions first.
