I also just heard on FoxNews that in addition to the sickening tactics mentioned here, they are also encouraging people to volunteer to help and then just not show up, leaving everyone high and dry and understaffed.
My first reaction when I heard about all of this was, "Like this would ever happen at the DNC."

These goofs will learn that the NYPD is much, much different than the police they have been dealing with. If they though Miami-Dade could be rough, wait until the NYPD deals with them. The NYPD have to deal with the Bronx, the mob, gangs, housing projects, the mentally ill and various other threats, these trust fund kids will learn what the sting of a baton feels like. Maybe they'll riot on Mulberry St and some gangsters will take care of the punks.

One more thing, I hope anyone caught partaking in any of this stuff is slammed, and slammed hard. This is terrorism. If they successfully hold up even one bomb-sniffing dog, and there is a real bomb around that is missed, they are in my mind equally culpable as those who planted the bomb.

Kerry & Edwards need to stop playing kissy-face long enough to harshly condemn such tactics and to support any measures taken by the authorities as countermeasure.

Here in Ohio we have names for folks like that, we refer to them as "dolts" Ohio is a 100% Republican State, not one single Democrat holds even one State wide seat - that is because we are smart enough not to elect dolts to lead us.
