If they are "not" Democrats why ain't they in Boston doing the same exact thing. These are the same idiots that call President Bush Hitler and are Michael Moore's biggest supporters

It's always important to get the facts straight. Paul Lewis speculates that the anarchists are Democrats. Perhaps some of them are, but the Daily News article he quotes doesn't make that identification at all. The article identifies them merely as anarchists.
Posted by: msn at July 12, 2004 04:52 PM
Vero,
Exactly! These "fringe" groups have become the "mainstream" of the democrat party as we saw at that hatefest headlined by Whoopi!
Posted by: CJ at July 12, 2004 04:54 PM
I suspect a Communist party connection to the potential for planned trouble at the GOP convention. Check out cpusa.org for their feelings about defeating Bush, while recalling there are allegations about who is funding the 'antiwar' movement and that they could be involved.
No nonsense, bring in national guard and bust anyone causing problems. This was foolish of the troublemakers to broadcast their intentions, gives the authorities time to react and develop countermeasures. They have a right to assemble and demonstrate, they have no rights to commit violence or impair the authorities ability to do their jobs. Period.

Sure. These are the same bunch of loonies that think Michael Moore is a bastion of truth. Well according to this interview, Mr. Moore says he is not a Democrat.
But if you go here, you can see he is a registered Democrat and has been since 1992.
What I don't get is why you Democrats continually run away from being called what you are. Call a conservative a Republican or a conservative and they say, "Damn straight I am." Call a liberal a Democrat or a liberal and they say, "No I'm not." Of what are you ashamed?
I'll tell you one thing for sure, it ain't no Republicans throwing marbles and covering themselves in gun powder residue to defeat and confuse bomb-sniffing dogs. And as Vero said, if they aren't Democrats, why isn't this happening in Boston. You guys are as pathetic as the losers in this article.

My first reaction when I heard about all of this was, "Like this would ever happen at the DNC."

These goofs will learn that the NYPD is much, much different than the police they have been dealing with. If they though Miami-Dade could be rough, wait until the NYPD deals with them. The NYPD have to deal with the Bronx, the mob, gangs, housing projects, the mentally ill and various other threats, these trust fund kids will learn what the sting of a baton feels like. Maybe they'll riot on Mulberry St and some gangsters will take care of the punks.

Kerry & Edwards need to stop playing kissy-face long enough to harshly condemn such tactics and to support any measures taken by the authorities as countermeasure.
Just picture this being planned by Kerry-haters for the DNC.
Now picture the Dem/Lib's screaming, the 4-inch headlines and the broadcast after broadcast on mainstream TV.
Now try to picture Dems/Libs refraining from blaming Bush/Cheney.

Bonfire,
Precicely! I just read an interesting article by Mrs du Toit on this very subject.
On my own blog, I commented about how Michael Moore is the Left's Larry Nichols.
One major difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is the fact that the Republican Party ignores or outright rejects it's moonbats, while the Democrats embrace theirs.

I don't know if these goofs are Democrats, anarchists or communists.
Whatever they are, they should be charged with aiding and abetting terrorism.
Think about it: they're trying to distract bomb-sniffing dogs. If a bomb is missed because one of these yahoos followed this "plan," reckless homicide charges should be filed.
If you fire a gun on New Year's and kill someone, you don't get a pass because you didn't mean to do it.

disagree away, doesn't change the fact that they are planning on doing this in NY and not Boston. The Democrats are getting folks to "volunteeer" for the GOP convention and then not show up to disrupt the politcal process anyway they can.
Here in Ohio we have names for folks like that, we refer to them as "dolts" Ohio is a 100% Republican State, not one single Democrat holds even one State wide seat - that is because we are smart enough not to elect dolts to lead us.

I'm not surprised by this. As others have said, the Dems can't seem to wrap their minds around what is Right and what's Wrong; they just don't have the capacity anymore to understand the difference...or even that there IS a difference.
I say, let the Anarchists and other assorted fringe loonies try something...and in the very city that suffered the worst losses on 9/11. Do you think New Yorkers are going to tolerate that??? HA! More importantly, does anyone really believe that the rest of the country is going to appreciate that either? HA HA!
In the end, I think its good that the Dem Party is suddenly associating itself (closely) with all sorts of bottom-feeders (Moore, Whoppi, leftists bomb throwers, etc.). Makes for a great commercial, no? "The Democrats want to turn the clock back to radical 60s...are you going to let them???" And then stick in the footage of Kerry blathering before the Senate Committee in his high-end Brahmin accent.
There's 50,000 votes right there!
