It was nothing but...
An insightful post from The Koolaid Report
It was nothing but…
…a good old fashioned ass kicking. There ain’t no other way to describe what happened on Tuesday. Republicans from coast-to-coast had their collective heads handed to them on a big-assed silver platter and deservedly so.
As an observer of American politics, I’m not surprised by what happened. On the contrary, what does surprise me is what didn’t happen.
Where are the cries of the disenfranchised? Surely there were voting irregularities. It can’t be that “every vote was counted” this time, can it.
Where is the ACLU? I’m waiting for them to file suit on behalf of the always-available black man who was beaten and arrested for attempting to vote.
Human rights advocates where are you? Were there not voting machine malfunctions that caused mutilated ballots and hanging chads?
Were there no problems in Florida or Ohio? I thought those states were ground zero in the GOP’s efforts at voter fraud. I heard of “purging” voter lists in Ohio just two weeks ago.
Where are the complaints by the Lefty poll observers that hovered, waiting to pounce on any perceived impropriety?
It certainly can’t be that the problems of 2000, 2002 and 2004 have all been solved. Just recently the Left was complaining about the unreliability of the new electronic voting machines. They told us the election could not be fair because Diebold (the maker of said voting machines) is in the hip pocket of W and his friends.
According to the tin-hat wearing loonies of the Left, the machines were easily manipulated by the maker. They were programmed, I’m sure, to tally a vote – or two – for any Republican regardless of who should have received the vote.
As the results poured in Tuesday night, many observers heard the Left shout a collective, “We win!”
I, on the other hand, heard a collective, “Never mind.”
To those who did encounter problems on Tuesday, who were denied the right to vote, who were turned away for lack of identification, know this:
The Left, the ACLU, Human Rights Watch and every other pain-in-the-ass, blame-America-first organization doesn’t give a damn about you or your problem. All they care about is controlling the agenda and forcing their brand of Socialism down the throats of all Americans.

The Silence is Deafening.
Seriously, days before the election I was told that the Diebold machines we use here in San Bernardino county were rigged. That someone in the California chain of command had said, "No Diebolds!" Yet I voted on one, and so did many Californians.
Add that to the fact that the Voter ID law in Arizona was upheld for this election wasn't it? Didn't it "Disenfranchise" those in Arizona?

Aint it the truth, not one single report nationwide of voting irregularities, proof positive of the left wing media slant that brainwashed the most gullible Americans amongst us that the dems are the lesser of the problem in politics today.
We'll see after 2 years of left wing wreckage what's left in 2008.

I, for one, am grateful that the Republicans didn't stoop to the level of the Dems on the issue of the election results. It tells me that fundamentally everything is as it should be. Instead of blaming the results on "bad machines" or "voter disenfranchisement," the Republicans understood that it came down to credibility. At least they understand this message. Given the giddy atmosphere currently exhibited by the "winners" on the left of the political spectrum at present, it appears that they might actually believe that they've been given a mandate and will in short order over-reach themselves yet again... and wind up standing upon a sack of poo!
I can't wait!!!

There was wide-scale voter disenfranchment of Democratic voters. The only reason Dems took the House and Senate is because Republicans voted them in.
That is why it is most important to get transparent voting by 2008. We barely escaped a facist state. We cannot allow voter suppression and private companies to count our votes.

If there was Wide-spread voter disenfranchisment why aren't you guys screaming about it from the hill tops?
While I agree we need more transparent voting methods and ways to ensure registered voters are voting and not someone else, the fact reamains. It is deathly quiet on this issue from the usual suspects. Why is that?

Barely escaped a fascist state..., I love it when the kook fringe checks in.

Sorry, ChristlessWright, but by the very definition of fascism, we were never close at all. You see, only the left can institute fascism--the secular left. Because, in a fascist society, there is no God--the state is God.
Nice try, kook.
btw, you're not from MD or SC, are you? I'm praying you're not, because you could be a relative of mine, if your last name is Wright...

There was wide-scale voter disenfranchment of Democratic voters. The only reason Dems took the House and Senate is because Republicans voted them in.
So, in your mind, those Diebold machines are smart enough to know when a republican is voting, and to make that vote count democrat, even though they were supposed to count for a republican no matter how they voted?
Man, with all due respect, you are a kook, CW.

Voter ID works very well in AZ. You can be assured no dead people voted in my state! :-) EVERY state should have the Voter ID law on its books.

It's amazing that a clean election only happens when the Dems win. Gee I kind of remember a Governor in Washington state that stole the last election and she is a Dem.

Actually, check out what's going on in Sarasota. 18,000 votes were cast on electronic machines that didn't register a vote for Congress.
Posted by: DougW at November 11, 2006 10:18 AM
And I didn't hear the Radical Rightwing Extremists say one peep when the ACLU stepped in to help out your mouthpiece, Rush Limbaugh.
Posted by: DougW at November 11, 2006 11:39 AM
Right, DougW.
The Sarasota vote is an absolute disaster. 18,000 votes were lost by an electronic voting machine, with no paper backup, and there is no way on Gods green earth to get them back.
Don't worry, Leo. The lefty groups will be all over this mess. And non-Partisan groups are calling for a new election.
It is statistically extremely unlikely that 13% of the electorate did not cast a vote for congress in this district. In short, this is a bogus election.
It is certainly possible that more than half of these 18,000 votes are for the Republican. But we will never know unless there is a special election to re-vote. Otherwise, these votes are gone.
You are right that the MSM seems to be ignoring this case, which I find disgusting. It will come up sooner or later, when it gets to the supreme court.

Here's what happened.
This time around there were two many eyes. Too many cameras. Too much to chance being caught. To many people to fool one more time because to much has been exposed for the thieves to steal another one.
It was the classic you can't fool all the people all the time. As slow as the American public is they've finally caught on to your lying, thieving ways.
So now you can just suffer baby, and suffer you will. Wait till the investigations start. I can't wait to see you try to "spin" the corruption, war-profiteering that will be exposed.
It's going to be a fun two years! LOL!!!

Leo,
You have no understanding of what socialism is. Supporting freedom of speech and freedom of religion and opposing government establishment of religion is not socialism.
Posted by: Brian at November 11, 2006 02:35 PM
Leo,
Listen very carefully.
I am a Democrat. I am not a Socialist. The Democratic Party is to Socialism what the Republican Party is to Fascism.
That is to say, they are both American parties that value democracy.
Are we clear? Or do you want to lie some more and tell us that the Democrats are cooperating with the Germans to indict Rumsfeld. Mark is letting you off the hook for this lie, but I won't. It's simple, admit that there is no connection between the Democratic party and the German investigation or be a liar.

There are irregularities--here's another. Who knows how many problems there are given all the elections because it's impossible to monitor everything? The voting process is certainly not fixed just because the Dems won the houses.

Arkansas Mayoral Candidate Disputes Tally of Zero Votes, Says He Voted for Himself
The Associated Press
WALDENBURG, Ark. - Randy Wooten figured he'd get at least one vote in his bid for mayor of this town of 80 people even if it was just his own.
He didn't. Now he has to decide whether to file a formal protest.
Wooten got the news from his wife, Roxanne, who went to City Hall on Wednesday to see the election results.
"She saw my name with zero votes by it. She came home and asked me if I had voted for myself or not. I told her I did," said Wooten, owner of a local bar.
However, Poinsett County results reported Wednesday showed incumbent William H. Wood with 18 votes, challenger Ronnie Chatman with 18 votes and Wooten with zero.
"I had at least eight or nine people who said they voted for me, so something is wrong with this picture," Wooten said.
Poinsett County Election Commissioner Junaway Payne said the issue had been discussed but no action taken yet.
"It's our understanding from talking with the secretary of state's office that a court order would have to be obtained in order to open the machine and check the totals," Payne said. "The votes were cast on an electronic voting machine, but paper ballots were available."
A Nov. 28 runoff is scheduled to decide the mayor's race.
"It's just very hard to understand," Wooten said.
