ANNOUNCEMENT: Matt Margolis & Mark Noonan get a book deal!

October 29, 2006
One Year Ago Today

I was the most nervous I had ever been in my life - you see, October 29th, 2005 was the day I was married to my beautiful, charming, patient, kind and loving wife, Cheryl...and, man, was I a nervous wreck all that day. Well, I was up until I ordered a juice at the bar and my best man had it spiked with a triple shot of vodka...after that, I was a lot more relaxed, though I didn't know why until later.

This past year has been an endless delight for me, and I cannot thank my wife enough for what she has done. And, so, Cheryl, I would marry you a thousand times over - you are the spark which set my life afire.

I ask my wife if she will marry me, probably 5 -10 times a week. She keeps saying yes.

I'd marry my hubby of 14 years all over again too. Congrats!

Congrats to you and Cheryl, Mark--and lay off the vodka...

Marrying mine was the smartest move I ever made. Her wisdom, prudence, and beauty have been and continue to be the greatest gift God has bestowed on me. Hope you are as lucky.
God bless.

I married my amazing wife one year ago today as well. It was and will always be the greatest day of my life. I wish you and you wife the best in life.

P.S. Keep up the great work and sticking to what you believe in.

Congrats on your paper anniversary. Now get that layer of wedding cake out of your freezer and eat it!

That is the most beautiful thing I ever heard. My husband of two years and I always joke about when he proposed - I was on drugs. I had just gotten out of the hospital after intestinal surgery. I said 'yes' and I would do it again with or without drugs.

congrats on marrying over your head.....i did too
but i'm concerned about your level of overall awareness
that you couldn't taste 3 shots of vodka in a glass of juice.....?????

Congratulations Mark and Cheryl. My hope and prayers go out to you for many, many more.

Congrats. And sometimes a shot of vodka is just what the doctor ordered...

Lenny,

Like it was nothing but juice...

Everyone:

Thanks much - Cheryl and I have had a wonderful weekend and we appreciate all your good wishes.

Mark (and Cheryl)

From your old Liberal Catholic challenger, Congratulations .... enjoy your paper.. I and my wife just passed our ruby anniversary. Enjoy and always respect each other. Some day in passing I may tell you how to survive 40 years......smiling happily at the two of you...even if one of you is a conservative
