Democrat Staffer Suspended Over Suspected Intel Leak

House Intelligence Chairman Peter Hoekstra has suspended a Democratic staffer over suspicions he "may have leaked a high-level intelligence assessment to The New York Times last month."

In a letter obtained by The Associated Press Thursday night, Rep. Ray LaHood, R-Ill., a committee member, said that an unidentified staffer requested the document from National Intelligence Director John Negroponte three days before the Sept. 23 story about its conclusions.

The staffer received the National Intelligence Estimate on global terror trends on Sept. 21.

"I have no credible information to say any classified information was leaked from the committee's minority staff, but the implications of such would be dramatic," LaHood wrote Hoekstra, R-Mich., late last month. "This may, in fact, be only coincidence, and simply 'look bad.' But coincidence, in this town, is rare."

But, Democrats leaking intelligence information is not rare.

There's little question that left of center thinkers believe they can keep us all safe by just talking to those that dislike us, our country, and its economy.

Today's liberals started consorting with communists while they are in college. Clinton went to Czechoslovakia; Kerry to Paris to meet the North Viets; Others met with Castro or embraced the Sandinistas.

Clinton called the Chinese media and Fidel directly, as well as giving Arafat a permanent room in the White house. Sheehan and Dean love Chavez and Fidel. Go figure!

So releasing secrets to the NY Times and Washington Post is a resume builder for these mentally stunted children.

And the Democrats are angry? Why? I heard only his clearance was suspended.

We know they do it - and its another reason to keep them out of majority status: If there's a Speaker Pelosi in January, then we can rest assured that ever last American secret will be leaked if it in any way, shape or form can be used fairly or unfairly to attack President Bush...

Democrats are irresponsible - they are simply not trustworthy these days with American national security. Unhinged by hatred of President Bush, they simply don't understand the baleful affects of their actions.

Now if this was a republican, he would have his name on every LSM outlet and be burned at the stake BEFORE a single shred of evidence was produced!

Great point, Alfred, albeit a true one. However, one must be careful with wording. The NY Slimes calls such mentally-stunted children "whistleblowers."

Could you imaging a House Intelligence Committee with Jane Harman as Chairkook? This country's intelligence would be compromised to every enemy with this beyotch in charge...
