I tried and tried to think of something worthwhile to write on the Woodward book - a lot of our lefties have been eagerly anticipating a thread on Woodward because, of course, it feeds in to their "Bush lied, people died" meme. Unfortunately, I haven't read the book, nor have I paid much attention to the coverage of the book. Ever since Woodward was proved to have made stuff up in past books, I've discounted anything he has to say. Woodward seems to put a book a year out and that is a nice income, but I don't think he's added anything to the debate since All the President's Men 30 years ago.
All you really need to know about the Democrats' attempts at a historical re-write is that Jimmy Carter, of all people, stepped up to Clinton's defense...the man who allowed the United States to be humiliated for 444 days by the Islamo-fascists is asserting that in his expert opinion, Bill Clinton made the best possible effort to get bin Laden. The Democrats' MO these days seems to be, "the GOP are so incredibly stupid that they won't even consult their memory when we make a statement".
So, have at it, if you like: the left will say "see, we told you so!", while we on the right will have a yawn on it as this is the 1,000th time we've had this meme floated, and every one of them blew up in the Democrats' face.

More than 12 hours after you published this post, the complete lack of response makes a telling statement. Not a complimentary one, either.
SW,
Naw, its just that Matt and I were a little careless in our posting - writing on essentially the same subject and putting the posts up at the same time. We're normally pretty good at coordinating our posts, but when I told him Sunday night that I would do a Woodward post for Monday morning, I ended up having computer problems and thus didn't get to it until morning...by then, Matt noted that I hadn't put one up, and while I was busily writing mine, he was writing his.
