I had written 'em off jujst two weeks ago, Paul. Now, I'm cautiously optimistic about their chance to hold the House and Senate.
If only the intelligent voters were aware of the shrill hatred and rhetoric hurled at the GOP every day. Rosie O'Donnell, anyone? Harry Reid? Nancy Pelosi?
Thing is, most Americans don't know or care who Piglosi and Reid-tard are, and most don't enjoy watching the fat cow on The View.
Don't even bother trying to equivocate, Shipley--your foot is in your mouth...

I noticed on this comment page that we were to "report any inappropriate comments" to a certain link. Okay, well, "keefer", the only person to have commented thus far, besides my doing so now, refers to Pelosi as "piglosi" and Reid as "Reid-tard". This is a perfect example of inappropriate comments assuming intelligence, civility, etc..have anything to do with appropriateness. The typical name-calling which consevratives who have no game partake in should fall into the category of inappropriateness.kb

Yes, just as in 2004, I think that there will be a lot of crying in coffee in democrat's kitchens come the morning of November 8th.

Keefer, I do not believe that the GOP voters will be staying at home in November. Current Democrats and their leaders has given us many, many, many reasons to overlook our disappointments with the GOP and come out and support the Republicans.
I personally was going to sit it out this year. Not a chance in hell that will now happen

Voters are seeing through the bulls**t the Donks spew forth from their mouths! It's about time, and I know it's p**sing them off to no end!

I know one Democrat Senator that I hope loses because of the nasty ads he has been running. Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska has been running blatantly lying ads about his opponent, Pete Rickets. Nebraskans are hearing that these ads are lies, thanks to the fact that Rickets has the deep pockets needed to run counter ads. As well as ads about his outlook and plans.

Did anyone else laugh out loud reading kb's obvious hypocrisy? Oh sure, the left can call Bush Hitler but he/she gets "offended" reading something so tame as piglosi.

Gee, I wonder if this is helping ratings.
Cincinnati Gas Prices
This is current gas prices in my area, falling like a rock - One hates to fill up today, because it drops yet again the next. This is a dye-n-the-wool Republican area. This will help get voters off the backside to come out and vote for the GOP ticket. I have been hearing that all week from other Buckeyes. Voters is catching on that Democrats has been holding up oil exploration, and when that 15 Billion barrels was just located in the Gulf, it just points it out even more

Do you ever pay attention?
Gas prices here dropped from $3.29 to $2.69 in the last moth. Use your brain Macker, it's not all about the Democrats.

To all my fellow conservatives, we know what we have to do this election. In the words of one american hero, "LETS ROLL"!!!

Heck, you can't call a pig piglosi, but the libs can make a film assassinating a sitting president.
You guys are right; people like kb are completely hypocritical. Not only that but oh so sensitive. Add me to the list of voting this year...i've sat out before but not this time. It will take 1/2 Donk to offset my vote; assuming, of course, that a lot of dems plan on voting twice again.

Polls? Since when do you care about polls here? Oh thats right...when it's a poll you agree with.
Gas prices are going down but not because of progress in the GWOT or the administration. Did you not hear about the massive oil field found in the Gulf of Mexico? Thats why we have had a drop in prices. The Gulf drilling process is caught up in some red tape right now, unfortunately, and gas prices will rebound no a certain degree.

D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-S Dude folks aint that stupid to know your party is the party of no no no when it comes to getting our own oil out of our own country.

Its the EPA laws that are now in place which have been in place for awhile that are preventing this. Not Democrats. We don't have enough refineries to convert the crude even if drilling started yesterday.
There are currently two layers of federal protection that prevent drilling on many portions of the Gulf & Alaska. The first is a moratorium that's been renewed annually by Congress, with bipartisan support, since 1981. A measure to renew it this year was expected to be introduced in May. The second is a presidential directive originally issued by Dubyah's dad in 1990, then extended by Clinton to last through 2012. George Jr. could undo this directive with the stroke of a pen, but has made no move to do so -- thus far.
It's not a parties fault. The laws are in place and can be changed quite easily but GW isn't doing it. Wonder why? I am 100% go for drilling in Alaska and the Gulf. We can sustain ourselves for an estimated thirty years on what the Gulf oilfield has.

Uh-huh
Republicans fail to garner enough support to avoid threat of filibuster
I say it again, Democrats is the party of no no no no when it comes to our security and our own freaking oil. You may not want to acknowledge it, but you cannot deny the facts. Barber, Kennedy, Kerry, Reid etc etc etc etc no no no

That article is from 2005. Check for more recent votes and you'll find where the drilling status is. The bill wasn't a simple matter of drilling or not.
Broad opposition to the Senate bill began to melt away when Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., who had threatened to filibuster any offshore drilling legislation, said he would go along given the promise that the Senate would not accept the House measure. The nearby states want a royalty percentage of the revenues from what the platforms take in. Dems think the states are entitled to it, Republicans did not. I believe they are working on that provision now...have to check to be sure.

Jumps another 1.5 points today to 42.5%
This will affect races to the good.
