ANNOUNCEMENT: Matt Margolis & Mark Noonan get a book deal!

September 05, 2006
Mark and I Get A Book Deal

We've been waiting a long time to tell our readers this exciting news: Mark and I have just signed a book deal with World Ahead Publishing!

As some of you might recall, I made a week-long trip back in March to Las Vegas... Well, we couldn't tell you then, but now we can tell you the primary reason for my stay was to work with Mark on the book.

Now you must be asking "What is the book about?" Well, our book is about corruption in the Democratic Party and is called Caucus of Corruption. It should be out in February 2007, and is the first of three books we've signed to do with World Ahead.

Mark and I are very excited about the book. Please check out our newly launched book website and blog, and sign up for our book mailing list for updates, contests, etc. etc.

Fantastic topic, should be a very long one.

Posted by: SEW at September 4, 2006 07:34 PM

Congratulations. I'm sure y'all will do a wonderful job.

I'm sure you'll be attacked by all the liberals on this site, but the truth should be told.

Posted by: wawilliyo [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 07:38 PM

That is outstanding news guys! I'm looking forward to reading it!

Posted by: Greg in Texas [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 07:53 PM

Wouldn't it been easier to do "Corruption in the Republican Party"? You could title it "Morons of the Mundane"

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 08:19 PM

Congratulations.

Too bad you can't get an advanced overview out before November and make all of the talk and news show circuits!

Looks like I was right a few months ago when I said some of these topics were research for a new book. (Well, at least the part about a book, even if the research portion may be wrong.)

Wouldn't it been easier to do "Corruption in the Republican Party"?

They didn't want to write a short story, Canuck Kook. If they had, they could've written one about Canadiens with IQ's over fifty. They would fill about two pages, and could title it, "That's All, Folks!"

BTW, quotes follow punctuation...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 08:42 PM

Well if you want to nit pick over placement of quotes, I won't argue. Too minor and apparently I don't have enough IQ to comprehend it anyway.

Say what you want but it must really really gall you that your President is am embarrassment in the IQ department. The pool is pretty shallow there. A brain vacuum exists in the White House and that is why Cherney and Rummy run the show and make all those bad decisions. Yeah, things are going so well in Re-Pubic Land

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 08:50 PM

Cherney? Who's Cherney?

I won't waste my time with you, moron. You, your boyfriend CO, and your girlfriend axass are three insignificant Canadien girly-men who hate America. That's fine by me, kook--I have little to no affection for Canada and it's kook socialist society.

Canada--where men are boys, and baths occur weekly...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 09:00 PM

BTW, I put an apostrophe in "its" when I shouldn't have. Something you kooks do regularly...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 09:04 PM

congrats Matt and Mark - I for one am looking forward to see what my fellow B4B'ers have to say. With all the material that is available, your book should compete with War and Peace in the number of pages.

Posted by: Paul at September 4, 2006 09:20 PM

This book should be a layup for your guys.

Democratic Corruption has been rampant for decades

Tameny Hall in New York City
The Daley Machine in Chicago
Philadelphia

The 1960 Presidential Election with dead people voting in Chicago and Texas for an OVERALL NATIONAL victory of 200,000 people (and the Dems scream corruption today when one state ..OHIO...goe to Bush by over 160,000...oh the irony)

2000 Election...not letting military votes count. Only wanting to recount Democratic districts. Students at Marquette University, UW Milwaukee and other Wisconsin schools admitting in the press they voted more than once for the Democratic candidates.

2000 Election..also in Milwaukee...Democrats bribing homeless workers with cigarettes and money to vote (same day registration in Wisconsin with no voter ID required...doh).

2004 Election...also in Milwaukee...slashing tires of vans to be used to get the elderly out to vote for the Republican get out the vote campaigns.

Unions picketing outside of election sites trying to intimidate voters.

And on and on and on. This book should write itself.

The biggest hypocrites on the planet are Democrats.

Congratulations;

I look forward to reading it.

Congratulations, guys!!!!

Posted by: William Teach [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 09:41 PM

Congrats!!!

Posted by: phnxbmed at September 4, 2006 10:25 PM

Should be an interesting fiction book. Lets see how you can spin 6 years of failed Bush policies into being all the Democrats fault even though the Republicans were in control of Congress and the majority of the government during his rule.
Oh thats right, Clinton destroyed America so bad that even the Repubs can't begin to fix it...lol!!!
Morons.

Posted by: Lomstradamus at September 4, 2006 10:36 PM

Keefer: Maybe you should chill out and do a reefer.

FYI: I actually like the USA. I am just saddened that the Republicans under Bush has got that great country into such a mess through their incompetence and blocked headed stupidity.

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 11:49 PM

Congrats Matt and Mark, I look forward to reading the book when it comes out.

Hey, Canuck - sounds like a little bit of sour grapes to me. Can you stop with the Bush hating long enough to offer congrats?

Posted by: kjstrouble [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 12:01 AM

Kjstrouble;
--Well if the book is accurate and fair and actually serves a purpose to expose corruption, well bring it on. Let's see some Democrats go to jail. Then I shall extend congratulations. The Republicans don't have a monopoly on corruption, afterall.
--Otherwise the book will just be another political hack job, a waste of paper.

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 12:09 AM

am just saddened that the Republicans under Bush has got that great country into such a mess through their incompetence and blocked headed stupidity.

Write your own book about how great Canadian Liberlism is. I will even help you write the first 4 words for that fairy tale.

"Once Upon a time " No need to thank me, the graditude on your face is all the thanks I need.

Posted by: Vero at September 5, 2006 12:21 AM

I see, you cannot congragulate them unless it suits your purpose. Such a sad statement about the person you are. And pre-judging the book is so typical. I realize I may not agree with it, but I expect to find it well reasoned. Ofcourse, I find most of what Matt and Mark write well reasoned, even when I disagree. It makes me work harder to make sound arguments and comments.

Posted by: kjstrouble [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 12:22 AM

Remember kjs...they are "tolerant"...just ask them. Because you never actually see it in their actions, but boy will they TELL you how tolerant they are.

LOL

Posted by: Warriornation [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 12:25 AM

Good work guys! I look forward to reading it. So how long before you start running for office Mark? I remember a year back asking you and you were mulling the idea about for local office. Or are you still building up your resume?

Posted by: Gozer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 01:03 AM

Gozer,

Well, there is 2010 when Reid runs for re-election....

Posted by: Mark Noonan [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 01:40 AM

Matt and Mark:

Looking forwards to seeing it. I'll ask the local book store to order a few copies when it's ready.
Don't forget to add a pronounciation guide for the big words, and a grammer guide - consider it a service to some of the people who post here.

In the meantime, people, it is intolerant to criticize a book you haven't read. (especially for liberals, who get very cranky when it happens to their books). Your opinions will have a lot more weight when you can insert actual quotes as examples.

:)

Posted by: Freedom1 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 03:02 AM

Matt, Mark

You can publish the book under a second title and name it, "The Mindset of the Bushbots" it would be a hilarious comedy for the left, and probably out-sell the first title.

Good luck at the book reviews.

Posted by: James Harold [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 03:16 AM

Congratulations! Matt and Mark!!

This is Great, Really Great!!

:) We need more people to like you!!

because people need to be informed of just how corrupt the democratic party is!!

Should be out just in time for the impeachment investigations. Excellent.

Posted by: axis [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 09:16 AM

I hope you investigate the corrupt practices of Democratic Representatives in the House.

1) Jose Serrano and Bill Delahunt making an under-the-table deal for oil "for poor Americans" with Hugo Chavez and how he paid them back with off-shore accounts.

2) Charles Rangel, Nydia Velazquez and Gregory Meeks shaking down companies who want to business in their congressional districts.

Posted by: John Smith at September 5, 2006 09:51 AM

Axis:
Keep dreamin' putz. If there isn't one thing that Democrats love more than hating Bush, and that's power. They know they'll get no where quick by trying to impeach Bush for something that doesn't EVEN exist.

I'd like to get your Canadian Mouth all OVER our airwaves... I find it hypocritical again that you say it's UNACCEPTABLE that Americans want to voice their opinion over other nations' elections but why is it okay for the world to butt into ours.

Write that book Matt and Mark, and dedicate a small portion to the idiot liberals like Axis who post on this site. It'll piss em off.

Remember folks... Annoy a Liberal...Work Hard and be Happy.

Posted by: wawilliyo [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 10:12 AM

I'm so proud of you! Ann Coulter look out! My man Matt's on the way!

Can't wait.

Congratulations Matt and Mark. Maybe this is the time to take off the gloves, and tell it like it is, and NOT the way the Dems try to make the people THINK it is. Good Luck, can't wait to get my copy and those I will give as gifts for all sane people. Jo

Kjstrouble:
--Your comment "...I expect to find it well reasoned.". You're funny. Mark -- well reasoned? DOES NOT COMPUTE!!! BWAH WAH HA HA HA (my apologies for stealing the laugh from one of you contributors)
--I normally don't prejudge books but I have read enough of Noonan to make an exception. The poor man probably still literally believes in a 6000 year earth and Adam and Eve. No evidence of "reason" there.

Vero:
--Thanks, I am grateful. BTW, I voted for the Conservatives in the last Canadian election. They were the lesser of the evils.

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 03:04 PM

Canuck,

If you don't think you will like the book you are free not to read it, but you don't need to comment on a book you have not read. Ofcourse, in my opinion, if you don't vote in the US election, you don't need to bitch about it either. Go complain about your own government.

Posted by: kjstrouble [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 04:10 PM

Kjstrouble:
--The Internet knows no borders. We have every right to bitch (it's called free speech) about the Bush Republican administration. It does not amount to a hill of beans to you lot.
--After all, the USA is the elephant in the room, we Canucks are the mice, we are very concerned about our neighbour's temperment, it is too easy to get squashed.

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 05:22 PM

FYI: I actually like the USA. I am just saddened that the Republicans under Bush has got that great country into such a mess through their incompetence and blocked headed stupidity.

Blockheaded stupidity is what created this incoherent paragraph. Canada's public school system must be worse than ours...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 09:14 PM

Congratulations guys. Your hard work has paid off. Give the topic, I can see why you got a three book deal.

Kevin

Posted by: Kevin Whalen at September 5, 2006 09:39 PM

Big deal! Ann Coulter gets them all the time. Doesn,t mean you can think or write or know what the hell you are talking about. Hope you and Mark will make enough off it to by you a little place in San Francisco.

Posted by: kiamichi [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 5, 2006 10:08 PM

If you can't debate against me or any other sane individual what makes you think your ideas have enough merrit to write a book. Why don't you book some time on tv against me and we can debate and I can turn you into blabbering fools for all the world to see. But, oh that's right, you won't even debate me on your blog, since you censor the comments that destroy your ideas. Cowards.

Posted by: SUSA at September 5, 2006 10:57 PM

Keefer states: "Blockheaded stupidity is what created this incoherent paragraph"

--What are you? The language arts police? Surely you can understand a sentence longer than 6 words. What part of "blockedheaded stupidity" don't you understand?

--Maybe you are of the school of thought that evolved the words "decider" and "suicider"

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 6, 2006 12:41 PM

Whoopie, looks like I got the last word in.

Posted by: Canuckguy [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 8, 2006 07:46 PM

Whoopie, looks like I got the last word in.

ok now that you have mastered that, can you now attempt to make just one valid point. pick any thread, your choice. let the rest of us know where

just asking for one

Posted by: Vero at September 12, 2006 01:05 AM

I am confident that your book will suck ass, and that few people (and NO intelligent people) will buy it. Even fewer will actually read it.

Posted by: Sam Malone at September 12, 2006 11:43 AM

Sam,

Jealous?

Posted by: Mark Noonan [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 12, 2006 11:50 AM

Belated Congrats, and I like the the cover.

Now let's get the republicans re-elected, so the donks don't increase taxes and take your hard earned dough from those book sales!!

Posted by: steve at October 3, 2006 07:52 PM

i hope it does better than:
"Help! Mom! Hollywood's in My Hamper!" - another World Ahead Publishing release.

i'll reserve judgment and criticism until the book comes out. that said i will buy the book, if only bc you guys feel like family at this point.
