ANNOUNCEMENT: Matt Margolis & Mark Noonan get a book deal!

The Un-Answered Plame Questions

Jed Babbin asks them over at Real Clear Politics:

• How Joe Wilson, contrary to decades of CIA policy, was sent to Niger without a security agreement requiring him to remain silent about the mission and what he found during its course;

• Why the CIA never required a written report from Wilson;

• Who - within the CIA and the State Department - crafted the mission, chose Wilson (Plame, a low-level analyst, lacked the clout to do more than recommend) and enabled him to blab about his "findings" when he got back; and

• Why did the Justice Department apparently reject the CIA's request for investigation at least twice, and why did George Tenet reportedly call to demand the investigation, and what was the basis for his demand?

Babbin points out that we should get a look at the initial criminal referral of the Plame kerfufle - I agree. The story was bogus from start to finish, just as Wilson's trip to Niger was bogus...I'm very curious as to who really authorised the trip and who actually made the referral.

There is something extraordinarily rotten in this Plame affair - and it comes from those around Plame and Wilson.

Plame has admitted being a CIA Operations Officer paramilirily trained in 'Vanity Fair.' This was confirmed by two CIA Operations Officers: Larry C. Johnson and Jim Wasowksi(sp). They both went to 'the farm' with her. She not only worked for The Directorate of Operations, but probably had the authority(to use Wilson) to put Wilson's 'mission' together, aware that it was a foreign operation being 'bought' by Wilson and used against the US government. If she was the trip planner, she has alot to answer for knowing what CIA knew before Wilson was sent, a problem for Wilson either ways.

Plame was the focus of the investigation until Fitz passed on his job as a criminal conspiracy investigator at DOJ, something he has alot to answer for knowing what he knew at DOJ before the investigation began.

Wilson's trip was not authorized by Plame according to the Directorate of Operations at CIA. 'She is low level.' This is a denial.

HOW WRONG COULD THE MEDIA GET (Great article with all the facts

Pathetic how poor the liberal media and their cronies are in this country. Forget the facts, just report lies after lies after lies.

Warrior,

You are right...but the still accomplished what they set out to do, which was to damage the administration. They won't do any follow-up to correct their mistakes so the false impression will will last in the minds of the electorate.

But, but, but, Mark, how can that be? The proggies are saying that it was all manufactured from the beginning. Cheney sent Wilson to Niger knowing full well that he would find nothing, complain to the NY Times, and then BushCo could retailiate and use the outing of Plame to deflect from the quagmire in Vietraq.

I have GOT to stay of the loon sites. ;)

And I want to know why fatzo was sent there if he had no expertise. He admitted that all he did was drink kava tea.

How about the biggest unanswered question to this entire episode.

SANDY BERGER!!!!

Why was Sandy Berger trying to destroy documents and steal them? Watch Path to 9/11 to find out. The Clinton administration TOTALLY blew it with terrorism and they have resorted to telling lies through the media (Joe Wilson as well) and stealing documents to cover their tracks.

Why wasn't the media all over the Sandy Berger incident non stop?

Posted by: Warriornation [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 08:55 PM

Mark, I agree. I think if all the truth came out about this wilson/plame nonsense, it would make watergate look like a tea party. I also believe the 9/11 commission clinton whitewash would make watergate look like a tea party.

When is Fitzgerald gonna let Scooter go, and go after the real bad guys--Wilson, Plame, and Bergler???

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 09:10 PM

Why wasn't the media all over the Sandy Berger incident non stop?

You might as well ask:
Why did the media call the Clinton/Lewinsky affair "private" when it occurred at work, on working hours, between two co-workers?

Why does the media call the war in Iraq "unilateral" even though we had over 30 allies going in?

Why does the media call the monitoring of international phone calls "domestic" spying?

You get the idea.

OK, back to the Miami/FSU game.

Posted by: Bigfoot [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 4, 2006 11:07 PM

Hey Bigfoot, last I heard FSU was leading - did they win?

As for the Plame foolishness, the MSM will never fully admit to their errors. And the only way the truth will be circulated is thru sites like this one.
