The lessons of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's speech are vital to the security of America. Great Job, Secretary Rumsfeld! Please give more such speeches at your earliest opportunity.

This "Islamofascist" and "appeasement" tact that Rummy, Cheney, and the prez are finally using is really getting to the DumocRATs. Good.
Now they want to have a vote of no confidence on Rummy. Big whoop, like Rummy cares about these pukes.
Basically, Rummy's letter was telling Piglosi and Reid-tard to go pound sand. Good for him; these pukes can get in front of a camera and say every hateful thing under the sun, but let our side get out there and tell it like it is, and the pukes go ballistic.
BTW, even though noone even said it, the DumocRATs are whining about being called unpatriotic. Nobody called them unpatriotic; they were called appeasers.
However, it's hard to find anything patriotic about someone who is invested in their own country's defeat...

Kudos to Donald Rumsfeld for having the gonads to stand up to these pathetic whining no-nothing politicians!! If the so-called conservative Republicans in Congress would do more of this type of dialogue, this nation might be roused from its dangerous slumber and awaken to the very real danger facing us from the Islamofascists and their sympathetic sycophants in the national Democratic party here in the US and in the halls of the arrogant media outlets who seem obsessed with dragging down this President and the Republicans at all costs. In their quest to regain power at any cost, these dangerous and perfidious players would sacrifice even the security of this country. They must not be allowed to succeed...

Appeasement has never worked in history which is why the left touts it so. Amazing.

Standing up Publically each and every time, is what is necessary against these appeasers. THEY,
and their ilk, are the ones who have undermined our Country, Our troops, and the battle against Terrorism. they care only about their careers and whiny party, and NOT THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY SURVIVING ANY FURTHER ATTACKS. PITIFUL, BUT, THANK GOD RUMMY ANSWERS THEM BACK. THE PRESIDENT NEEDS TO DO IT ALSO-EACH AND EVERY TIME HE IS VERBALLY ATTACKED.

More lessons, this time from Mark Steyn: Compare the final words of Jesus to his disciples, on the day of his ascension …
“Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
… with the final words of Mohammed to his disciples:
“I was ordered to fight all men until they say, ‘There is no god but Allah.’”
That’s quite a difference. Christ is saying go to the remotest parts of the world and persuade others of what you know to be the truth. Mohammed is saying fight all men until they submit to your truth: It’s not a plan for converting an existing empire (as Christianity did) but for establishing a new empire. Islam was born and spread as a warrior’s creed and, while that can be sedated, the intensity of anger of today’s western Muslims suggests that the Mohammedan fighter endures at the heart of their faith, albeit significantly augmented by greater firepower. Oh, come on, you say, what about the Spanish Inquisition? Well, for one thing, the Inquisition killed fewer people in a century and a half than the jihad does in an average year. But, in the larger sense, it’s easy to argue that, numbers aside, it was always an aberration and distortion of Christianity’s roots. It’s less clear that the jihad in its most violent form is a distortion of Mohammed’s message. With Islam, it’s the moderate variants of the Balkans, the Central Asian Stans and South Asia that are the aberration. And they’re all now fading.
So, if you’re pinning your hopes on Islamic reform, the difficulty is that most prominent Islamists are doing no more than Mohammedan karaoke. Here’s Osama bin Laden during the post-9/11 Afghan campaign:
“I was ordered to fight the people until they say there is no god but Allah, and his prophet Mohammed.”

How would you liberals handle this differently - now.
A)Pull out immediately and damn the consequences?
B)Keep forces the same and stick it out?
C) Double or triple the forces there and crush the fighting with overwhelming force?
Or, what? Just what is your "better" way? really. Enlighten us stupid Republicans. What does the public get if they vote you in?

Kahn,
Let me be perfectly clear about this. The war in Iraq is, was and will continue to be a huge mistake. I was against it then and am against it now. Nothing that has happened has changed my opinion on this. What to do now? You mean now that we've totally f'd up the entire region, now that we've kicked the proverbial hornets nest, now that we have virtually no international backing, now that we have very few options? Yea, that's the problem isn't it? Your boy has screwed the pooch and you want me to solve it? I do have one suggestion, whatever we're doing now, we need to rethink and readjust 'cause guess what, this ain't working.
You know, just Monday I got a notice on the company email. A guy I work with's son was killed in Iraq by an IED. I thought to myself this sucks, it's perhaps the most awful thing someone can go through. But through that I wondered, why? What have we done? What have we won? So you can keep beating your war drums and waving your flags proud but in the end I ask you, what have we done?
Posted by: 3moreyears at September 1, 2006 10:13 PM
3 - if I am attacked I will defend myself. If my country or culture is attacked, I will defend it. If that requires war because the enemy believes in killing or converting - then so be it. I will never claim to be perfect, only God is, and His son is next in line. I will not forswear my Lord. Does that answer your question?

You seem to like to quote scripture a good bit or at least bring up god and his son. Let me ask you this, what did he mean when he said "If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also?" What does that mean to you? Don't invoke god, Jesus, and a devout way unless you plan on living it. You people amaze me. At least I say what I think and don't rely on what others have said to call my own. If you want to call on god, then please be prepared to have judgement done upon you.

Appeasement? You've got to be kidding! More RNC talking points. When did that word show up anywhere before this week and bush's/rumsfeld's speeches? Please try again. Before you say I'm weak on security, the only reason I mentioned the cheek business is that I continually hear the "Jesus" language from folks here and like I said, if you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk. You either believe or don't. Sorry, there really isn't an inbetween. So again, which is it for you, war or peace? Go ahead, you can say it, but you'll have to finally admit that your "faith" isn't much more than skin deep.

3moreyears,
Dude, what is your problem dude?
Come on down!! The grass is always greener on the other side, like, you know the CONSERVATIVE SIDE!
Or...Is the TRUTH TOO MUCH for you?
BTW...If you were'nt already aware?
This war is about GOOD vs. EVIL and those who practice the teachings of Jesus will triumph over evil!
God allowed this war to happen because he seen the worlds distress as Christians everywhere were experiencing persecution for their beliefs!
Make NO mistake about it! God is going to protect His chosen people, Many people confuse Gods chosen people solely with Israel, Truth is - God's chosen people are ALL those who believe - in His one and ONLY SON Jesus Christ - there are Christians worldwide! But sadly many countries will not accept Christianity as the NORM so to speak! To many countries - it has to be Mohammed or some other false god or religion as the dominant! and any who fall outside the bounds of THEIR religion will be persecuted and put into bondage for disobeying the countries rules of the pre-dominant god.
So to put all this into perspective - you need to look at the reasons before you pass judgement on whether this war is in "YOUR" blind eyes "right" or "wrong".
Don't fool yourself, dude. This war was meant for a reason?
Almighty God, is looking out for HIS PEOPLE.
...And I can guarantee you God's WILL, is JUST!!
Thanks be to God - We have a president at the present who is doing just that - God's WILL!!

A big old long and great post eaten. Grr... let me try again. *sighs*
First off, why is everything about religion? I mean seriously! It seems like no conversation around here doesn't have someone or another bringing it into a conversation it doesn't belong in. I've been seeing the signs of a war of religion, not just the Muslims verses everyone kind, but the non religious or "not as religious as you" types verses those of faith or heavy belief.
I don't care who you are or what you believe, the moment you start using religion one way or another in a discussion outside of relgion you've already weakened your argument and created a distraction.
I know few read my posts ( :p ) but those of you who do know that I rarely use religion in any of my views or as evidence because I don't think it's neccissary. My faith is my own and it doesn't have to openly effect my views or get in the way of a debate. If I can do it, why can't others hmm?
Now, let me answer 3 more's question about war or peace. I had a really long and cool answer before but I'll try again.
Which do I prefer war or peace? Well until we can change the hearts of mankind I prefer war. Because peace without the change is nothing but an illusion and a facade. Nothing but a lull between fights that allows the sides to prepare for another conflict.
In war our problems, faults, and underlying issues all come to the forefront where we can actually do something about them. For instance during the 90's how much did any of us think of Islamo terrorism? Sure it popped up now and again but it wasn't really a part of our collective conciousness. Before that there was comunism, and before that Facism, and before that Slavery, and the list goes on and on. Every major change in our collective histories have come about through confrontation and war, not peace.
If we ever want to change we need war, because until we finally make true changes in our selves war will never be far away and peace is just a false and pretty picture we draw for ourselves.

3my - so, adjectives and history aside - you choose option A?
The fact that Libya acknowleded a secret WMD program and stopped it because of Iraq is at least one good thing. Isn't it?
The fact that most of Iraq is OK - the south and the north for example is good isn't it?
But whatever - you chose to walk away and damn the consequences. It is a valid poition and I salute your honesty.
Now, I just wish that the Democrat leadership would tell us what their choice would be. They have voted against option A twice. TWICE. All your little DC heros have voted against it.
Posted by: Kahn at September 2, 2006 12:11 AM
Gozer,
Listen, Bud!!
Just because some use religion as their base or reason for any given subject on this blog does'nt give you the "right" to tell everyone else that it is either "stupid" or "faulty" or in any case "wrong"....In essence when you do this - by telling people that, just because they use religion as a means of entering into the discussion and telling them that it is wrong, you are in effect, taking peoples right to free speech away, which is the 1st Ammendment.
THAT'S COMMUNISM!
You just go on to prove my whole point of being here when I say that DEMOCRATS are in fact COMMUNISTS!
...And I have a strong feeling that if the democrats take control in november, that America could possibly be facing the dreadful thought of an implantation of the Jihaad in America?
Yeeaauh!!, You don't believe me? That's how dangerous your party is when it comes to stuff like the war on terror, they could CARE LESS about Christian people in America! Or should I say YOU or ANYBODY for that matter!!
Heck, Democrats don't even care about the people in their own party, It's all about CONTROL!
If it does'nt fall under, and is upheld by the views of Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, such and such, etc,etc..You don't have a voice!!
But I'm gonna tell ya right now buddy, I'm gonna do everything I can to see that it does not happen, Because - My voice - and everybody else's deserves to be heard, and I guarantee you, If the Democrats do in fact take control, and the peoples privileges are taken away there's gonna be a riot!
Commenting about using other's religion is not only prejudicy but it is discriminatory as well..
So, Don't go telling me I can't stand up for what I believe, because I know BETTER!!

Thank you for reinforcing my opinion Jeremiah. One thing, I'm a Republican and have been posting here for quite some time, feel free to check. So what the "your party" line. All I said was that using religion and only religion in a comment doesn't help your case in non-religion discussions.
Sure, have your faith, be strong in faith that's fine. But all it does in a discussion that's not centered on religion is fog up the discussion and make religion the issue and not the original topic. Just look at about half of the topics you've commented on to see what I'm saying. There's a reason I rarely read or reply to your posts as I don't think you add to the discussion at hand, unless of course it's a religious one.
Please re-read what I said. I never said you were wrong or faulty when you bring religion into a non-relgious discussion, I said you muddy the waters, distract from the topic at hand, and weaken your arguments. I'm perfectly fine with you having faith and holding strong to them, I have mine and yes it does steer my thoughts and beliefs, but I don't need to hold them up as a sign in conversations that it doesn't pertain to. That's all I'm saying.

If the bsod appears or there's some other technical glich, you still have a copy of your post on your mouse (browser). You can then "paste" your copied post onto the gray posting box and try again. With the left wing controlling grade schools, high, schools, colleges, and most media outlets, it's important to get the Republican message out there constantly if only to reduce the number of new left wingers being indoctrinated each generation.

Yesterday I had the privelage to meet one of the British Spitfire pilots who defended the UK in the Battle of Britian, which prevented the invasion abd defeat of England
Of these men Churchill said: "Never in the course of history have so many owed so much to so few."
It was interesting that he sees parrallels between what we are faced with and what Britian faced in 1938.
He said, "If Chamberlain were alive today, he'd be a Democrat". I have to agree.

Gozer has a valid point, though. When you go overboard on the religious angle, yelling your sermons, your argument is weakened. All we tend to see is your fanatic attempts to convert everyone to your particular brand of Christianity.
So, Jeremiah, how about it? Could we have more reason and less preaching in your posts?
Posted by: Canadian Observer at September 2, 2006 09:35 AM
Gozer,
Let me explain. First off I'm for peace. If that doesn't work, then blow em all up. The reason I brought up the question is that there seems to me to be a great deal God this and Jesus that from some posters on this blog and it occurs to me that the true teachings of Christ are completely and absolutely non-aggressive. So when I see folks conflating war with Christianity, I just find it hard to swallow. Jeremiah is of course one of the more serious offenders. Look at the post above where he states that this war and Bush are the will of God. Also, if you look at the history you will find my question in a response to klstrouble where once again, God and the Son are invoked. So I was curious, how does a seemingly devout Christian reconcile this.
On another topic, for this site, I typically copy, ctrl-c, each post before sending. This way, when it fails, I don't have to re-type. Another thing I found is that if it fails, just put in a simple post like "hi" and do a preview, if your previous post shows up there, post the simple one and it seems to flush the queue/cache. Otherwise, paste the original and repost.

CO,
Yes, I am fanatical for Christ, and for GOOD reason - because people need to hear about Him. Matter of fact, people everywhere need to be getting fanatical for Christ. If they wish to spend eternity with Him. If I spent all my time at the religious blogs where people emote like I, then that would do me no good, nor anybody else becuase the folks on the religious blogs already know about Christ!
"So, Jeremiah, how about it? Could we have more reason and less preaching in your posts?"
To put it point blank, No!, If there is any reason for me to post then it is to bring the message of HOPE about Jesus Christ, because He's the reason I live, because He lives, He sent a message to the world through the Cross of Calvary, and it was left in place to tell the world that He is coming back again. You and many others here may not like it, but that just goes to show you how much you care about Jesus and what He did for you! If you cared anything about other people you would bring the message of the Cross to folks who really need it! Not only that, but come and join I and all of B4B in this battle for freedom, Justice, and Liberty for All, Which only the Christians and Conservatives can give!!
True Christians stand TOGETHER, have love for one another, Christ is the center, and without Him, we could not stand!!

Posted by: Canadian Observer at September 2, 2006 06:46 PM
I think there already is a blog for Christ.
I think of Two democracies that either formed or were reformed from invading armies that kept their armies there for at least a generation after the invasion/attacks.
Care to guess?
Yep.
Japan and Germany. Even if the Germans don't like us anymore, they owe a lot of, not only their re-democracy, but also their unification to the US and the fact that we had troops there for several decades. Japan still has several bases in the area, and even though they complain, they also realize the fact that having us around is a good thing especially with N. Korea throwing missles over their heads. (I read a bit of Japanese news. Interesting change in view.)
It has happened in the history of the world. It's not the most pretty thing but it can work. If I think back I do believe Rome would be the first country to do this, though not for any unselfish reasons. Taking over city states and countries, not all of them democracies, and then leaving behind the keys and tools of democracy that stand to this day. Even if they did have to use the legions and conscript folks from the countryside.

Blogs for Bush is fine, George W. Bush stands for this Christian nation!
George W. Bush is a Christian!
I don't understand why so many are against him for his beliefs!
So many democrats hate him because he is a Christian!!
This can only mean one thing, that Democrats hate good! bc, good contradicts evil.
So....
Let me make something clear here, Everyone is not one and the same ok, so, just because I like to stand for good does'nt mean I have to stop my witnessing here.
You can do whatever you wish to do. But always remember, an understanding of good always coincides with, the teachings of Christ, and every aspect of polotics and all other facets of life should be lived as such!!

I, for one, am not against Bush for his religious beliefs. Whatever he believes is his own business and if he keeps those beliefs to himself no one is hurt.
No, it is his 'policies' that I have a problem with. They, to the contrary, are hurting a good number of people.

I applaud any country who renounces their WMD program. Only wish others would follow Libya's example. A world-wide disarmament, now that's the ticket!!

kjs,
You seem to like to quote scripture a good bit or at least bring up god and his son.
Posted by: 3moreyears at September 1, 2006 10:21 PM
If you spat in my face & slapped me with your open palm while cursing Jesus name, according to him I should turn the other cheek. I would like to think I could be man enough to do that, but I don't claim to be perfect!
Jesus also said, reffering to the children, that it would be better to hang a millstone around your neck and cast yourself into the sea than to hurt even one of these!
He also said you are a bastard if you don't give the proper care to your wife & children!
He also said "I do not come to bring peace, but tto bring the sword".
He also went into the temple and drove(with a whip) out the money changers & sellers.
Three more tears, I hope you get my point! If you were to slap me, I would smile and turn my head(I hope), If you were to threaten my family with violence, you would learn what a legal gun-toting weapons expert was capable of doing to you! Hey, sorry man, I love my family........and hell, I don't want to be a bastard!

Funny how Rummy can draw up the footage of Neville Chamberlain shaking hands with Adolph Hitler when a simple google search can show Rummy shaking hands with Saddam Hussein... The 35% of you still supporting this wasteful war are simply walking in goosestep with your great leader... Do something this administration never did... study some history...

I did say WORLDWIDE disarmament, didn't I. A dream, only a dream!! As long as there are warriors like you, bearman, nations will continue to arm themselves, always believing it is for their own self-defence, but using their military might to invade and occupy countries that have posed no threat to them.

Your reading comprehension needs some work. I said Bush is entitled to whatever religious beliefs he may embrace, as long as he keeps them to himself. His 'policies' (which should be separate and apart from his beliefs in Christ) on the other hand are indeed responsible for hurting (maiming & killing others). He has said on many occasions that he respects the rights of others to worship as they see fit, has he not?
To reiterate, Bush's religion should have no influence on his policies.

100 % DISAGREE!! That's about as false a statement as could ever be uttered!
George W. Bush is a good man! He is a compassionate person towards others who are in need! He has provided sustenance for those in Iraq who were without food, home, clothing, and clean water!!
George W. Bush is about the softest hearted man a person would ever want to meet, He broke away in tears at the sight of the families in need and who had lost loves ones in the 9/11 attacks!
He honored many families at his different meetings and State of the Union Adresses!!!
He volunteered his time and talents to help rebuild "Ground Zero".
He provided millions to the families in the wake of the Katrina disaster!!
Etc,etc,etc.....On and on the list goes of all the kind deeds done by this Kind and Caring man!
The driving force behind this man is one single thing - His love for Jesus Christ!
George W. Bush and his policies are just fine the way they are, and it's only because his belief in Christ that we have been safe thus far, from idiotic terrorists from Iraq and them other terrorist network countries!!
I Thank Almighty God for George W. Bush!!
He's a man of Honest character and my how THANKFUL I AM!!
You really ought to be thankful CO, You really should!!
So, CO, Don't talk about the man behind his back to me, because you just seek to make a fool out of yourelf by talking your hypocritical garbage!

Good for Rumsfeld.
… with the final words of Mohammed to his disciples:
Our national debate should be real, not just rosy spin.
This November for the first time in my life I am voting for the Democrats.
So, freedom1, what's your point? should we be more like Jesus or Mohammed? Fight or make peace? Please clarify.
3moreyears,
You missed the point of the post. Please re-read the post and then respond. Hint: it's about what Muhammad ordered Muslims to do.
Freedom, 3moreyears will never get it. He will only see what he wants to see, not the message you are sending.
3 let me spell this out for you. Mohammad gave as a commandmant the order to FORCE the conversion of all the world to his faith. This is the standard. In Christianity, forcing the conversion is the abberation, not the norm.
Freedom1,
I didn't miss anything. Please answer the question. Are we to be like Jesus or Mohammed? Are you calling for war or peace my friend? I realize this is hard for you, but ultimately this is the question. So what's it gonna be?
kjs,
You're incorrect. I see what you are really about. The question stands. War or peace? Show your true colors if you dare.
Tell us about the NSA and Iran and Korea too, OK?

Precisely.
Kahn,
Let me be perfectly clear about this.
3 - if I am attacked I will defend myself. If my country or culture is attacked, I will defend it. If that requires war because the enemy believes in killing or converting - then so be it. I will never claim to be perfect, only God is, and His son is next in line. I will not forswear my Lord. Does that answer your question?
Jo,
Alright! Yeah!
:)
Kahn,
I choose Option C!
kjs,
You seem to like to quote scripture a good bit or at least bring up god and his son. Clearwater...good luck. Enjoy the higher taxes, the less security and the abandonment of millions of people trying to get out underneath terrorism and dictatorship.
If that's the way you want to go...that's your decision.
I stopped voting Democrat when I got older and wiser and will never go back. There are many Republicans I don't vote for, instead voting Libertarian. But as long as the Dems are hijacked by crazies like 3moreyears, it will never happen for me.
3Moreyears actually had the audacity to say that George W. Bush screwed up this region.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I give you exhibit 234237894 of what a complete clown this guy is along with the rest of the left.
Let's see 3moreyears, how was this region PRIOR to Bush being the President?
Answer that question and you will realize what a complete baffoon you are.
APPEASEMENT - and it's cost, is the point. I will not appease my enemies by giving into their demands for the wish for peace. I know that peace will come thru strength, I am sorry you don't seem to.
Warrior (nt)
kjs,
Appeasement? You've got to be kidding! More RNC talking points. When did that word show up anywhere before this week and bush's/rumsfeld's speeches? Please try again. Before you say I'm weak on security, the only reason I mentioned the cheek business is that I continually hear the "Jesus" language from folks here and like I said, if you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk. You either believe or don't. Sorry, there really isn't an inbetween. So again, which is it for you, war or peace? Go ahead, you can say it, but you'll have to finally admit that your "faith" isn't much more than skin deep.
Democrats was and still is the party of Jimmy Carter - look where that got us
... Grr ...
...
...
I'm really not to sure why you are so happy about this letter, Republicans. It says that only if Donald Rumsfeld's words were misreported by the media, then the Democrats and the critics might have misunderstood. But what did happened is the Democrats heard the words correctly and thier criticisms where correct.
3moreyears,
Dude, what is your problem dude?
Thanks be to God - We have a president at the present who is doing just that - God's WILL!!
psalm 118:24
"This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us REJOICE and be GLAD in it!"
Jeremiah
Gozer,
Listen, Bud!!
Jeremiah
*Chuckles*
One thing, I'm a Republican and have been posting here for quite some"
Gozer,
Sorry for the mis-judgement there, but I still do not hold to the theory that, despite any given subject that religion should be held back, that should be up to the poster IMHO!
Again sorry for the mis-judgement If in fact you say you are a republican!
My sincere apology!
Thank you Sir!
Jeremiah
*Chuckles*
No worries, you aren't the first to mistakenly call me a Dem for a percieved slight. Just one of the problems of the internet.
Feel free to mentioned religion if you want, I'm just saying it doesn't always help your cause.
Jeremiah,
Have no fear, Gozer really is a tried and true Republican.
:P
Gozer,
To prevent the loss of your posts, do the "copy and paste" thing. After composing your post, use your mouse to copy your post. Then, hit "post". If the bsod appears or there's some other technical glich, you still have a copy of your post on your mouse (browser). You can then "paste" your copied post onto the gray posting box and try again. (Sometimes I copy and paste my post onto an e-mail and send it to myself. If my post doesn't print, then I've got a reliable copy and can try again.)
Standing up Publically each and every time, is what is necessary against these appeasers.

Agreed. Republicans can no longer afford to be the "silent majority." With the left wing controlling grade schools, high, schools, colleges, and most media outlets, it's important to get the Republican message out there constantly if only to reduce the number of new left wingers being indoctrinated each generation.
I can vouch for Gozer, he's been around almost as long as I have. And that's a loooooonnnng time. :)
Jeremiah
Gozer has a valid point, though. When you go overboard on the religious angle, yelling your sermons, your argument is weakened. All we tend to see is your fanatic attempts to convert everyone to your particular brand of Christianity.
So, Jeremiah, how about it? Could we have more reason and less preaching in your posts?
Gozer,
Let me explain.
Good for Donald Rumsfeld. He is constantly misquoted by the Dems in particular Nancy "Tokyo Rose" Pelosi. She is the best weapon the terrorists have. They just have to sit back and let her spew her venom.
3morebraincells....I've been talking appeasement since Jimmy Carter. Not the last few days moron.
And again, how did Bush screw up this region as you stated? Yeah, the Mid East was all about peace and roses prior to 2003.
Man are you a clueless wonder.
And again, how did Bush screw up this region as you stated? Yeah, the Mid East was all about peace and roses prior to 2003.
Warriornation
Wasn't it Bush's objective to make it a better place than it was? Seems he really did mess up on that mission.
CO,
Come on - you can't really be that obtuse, can you? The changes we bringing to the middle east will take a generation - or two! - to bring to completion. What took more than a century to create will not be undone in three years.
CO
OH MY GOD...you mean he wanted to make it a better place than it was and this is a bad thing?
Please tell me you didn't just say that?
Secondly, how do you know how this turns out? 5 years from now? Ten years from now?
We've been at this for 3 years. It took our OWN revolution 7 years here in the USA. If we had the defeatest pissy attitude that you liberals had, we would still be a British possession right now.
Are you liberals capable at ALL seeing out in the future...ever?
And again, perhaps you can answer the question for 3morebraincells...how in the hell did Bush screw up a region that has been screwed up for 1000's of years? A region that has had 6 MAJOR wars the last 30 years before Bush was even elected Governor of Texas, let alone POTUS. Help us out here liberals, how did he make things WORSE?
This ought to be good...we'll sit by and watch you guys hash this answer out. Get out the popcorn.
Come on - you can't really be that obtuse, can you? The changes we bringing to the middle east will take a generation - or two! -
Mark
So the Iraqi people will live through hell for a couple of generations. Halleluiah!! But, but, but, Mark, aren't they living in a democracy now? GWB says he has liberated Iraq from evil and that devil Saddam is gone. Why, if they are free and are able to hold democratic elections and elect a democratic governemnt are they still in such deep s****? And why, does the U.S. of A. think they have the right to decide the future of the middle east?
Damn right the USA can have a say into the Middle East when their people are blowing up US servicemen, embassies, etc.
You'r DAMN FRIGGIN RIGHT we have a right.
Now, it is apparently from your remarks that you don't think it's possible that good things will ultimately come to Iraq?
Why is this the case? Turkey became a democracy. Israel is a Democracy. The US became a democracy. India. Etc, etc. None of them were easy, many had to struggle early with bloodshed and doom and gloom people like yourself.
Seriously, how do you guys wake up each morning and get through the day? I've never seen a group of people (liberals) so unbearbly full of glum about everything in life. It's absolutely pathetic.
...
.
Turkey became a democracy. Israel is a Democracy. The US became a democracy. India. Etc, etc.
Warriornation
Do any of these countries owe their democratic status due to an invasion and occupation by another nation? And after becoming a democracy, did they continue to have in their country a military presence by the invading nation?
Are you going to continue to use military force to change the middle east into a democratic heaven?
All we tend to see is your fanatic attempts to convert everyone to your particular brand of Christianity."
CO,
Yes, I am fanatical for Christ, and for GOOD reason - because people need to hear about Him.
So how about it, Co? How about giving up the hate for the president, and Christians? and Come join us!
You'd be glad you did!!!!! :)

So, would you like to change the name of this blog to "Blogs for Christ"?

So, would you like to change the name of this blog to "Blogs for Christ"?"
CO,
Blogs for Bush is fine, George W.

Jeremiah
I, for one, am not against Bush for his religious beliefs. Whatever he believes is his own business and if he keeps those beliefs to himself no one is hurt.
No, it is his 'policies' that I have a problem with. They, to the contrary, are hurting a good number of people.
CO - What about Libya admiiting to and renouncing a WMD program because of Iraq?
Kahn
I applaud any country who renounces their WMD program. Only wish others would follow Libya's example. A world-wide disarmament, now that's the ticket!!
kjs,
You seem to like to quote scripture a good bit or at least bring up god and his son.

CO, you are out of your Damn mind! So what if there was a governmental disarmement! How the hell do you propose protecting ourselves against renegades & dictators whom don't share your narrowminded utopian view???
Funny how Rummy can draw up the footage of Neville Chamberlain shaking hands with Adolph Hitler when a simple google search can show Rummy shaking hands with Saddam Hussein... The 35% of you still supporting this wasteful war are simply walking in goosestep with your great leader... Do something this administration never did... study some history...
Only wish others would follow Libya's example. A world-wide disarmament, now that's the ticket!!
Maybe Canada should...oh wait, they have very few weapons anyway--they couldn't wage a war against Antartica...

bearmanUSMC
I did say WORLDWIDE disarmament, didn't I. A dream, only a dream!! As long as there are warriors like you, bearman, nations will continue to arm themselves, always believing it is for their own self-defence, but using their military might to invade and occupy countries that have posed no threat to them.
If all we had in this world were homo/metrosexual men like you CO, then we could have an Amazonian world where the women enslaved & crushed the men. And of course they would force you to reproduce(ewwwwwwww!) Doesn't that just sound like paradise? Get off your high horse and come back to earth CO. We will always be defending ourselves against OBL's, Saddaam's, Jung ill's etc. etc. etc. When are you going to see that G.B. is the least of your problems? Never!!!
CO
Please explain to us all how Bush's beliefs in Christ translate to a policy that is "hurting a good many people"
Popcorn is ready...this should be good.
Warriornation

Jeremiah
Worldwide disarmament....wouldn't the liberals love that.
And as the incoming bombs are coming they would say ... OOOPS. I guess we screwed up but they said they could be trusted.
None of us here CO want to wage war. We do not like war, but sometimes war is necessary. Your country wouldn't exist today without war. Slaves would be slaves without war. Etc, etc.
Yeah, Jeremiah, Bush is one great fellow, a dyed-in-the-wool humanitarian; with each and everyone of those wonderful deeds he has done, he truly makes us all look like sorry loosers in comparison. I can't for the life of me see why he is so disliked throughout the world.
Shakes head....
What's a "sorry looser?" Is this Canadian lingo? Anyone?
CO, you shouldn't post while under the influence--stay away from the shooting galleries!!!
Heh, heh, keefer, I knew that would draw you out.
Where have you been hiding? Still hanging out in war-torn Baltimore, are you? I asked you to answer a few questions in the 'Substantial Reduction in Iraq Violence' thread but I guess you are so busy with your job as part of the language police, you have no time for serious debate. But it's o.k.; you can leave that up to your other conservative friends here at 'Blogs for Bush'.
Carry on, you're doing one heck of a job there, keefer.
