ANNOUNCEMENT: Matt Margolis & Mark Noonan get a book deal!

September 01, 2006
The End of The Plame Affair

The Washington Post says "It's unfortunate that so many people took [Joe Wilson] seriously."

Correction, it's sad that so many liberals took Joe Wilson seriously.

What's even sadder is how so many, desperate to scandalize Bush's presidency, are still trying to hold onto the story.

The Washington Post says "It's [sad] that so many people [like the Washington Post] took [Joe Wilson] seriously."

There, all fixed.

Fitzmas sure fizzled. What a waste of time.

The liberal attack machine. Vicious, but inept.

The liberal attack machine. Vicious, but inept.

And you know what, Kahn. An awful lot of people are beginning to realize that (if they didn't already). I'm beginning to sense McGovern '72 (or as Yogi Berra said: "deja vu all over again").

Posted by: Retired Spook [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2006 05:48 PM

I'm waiting for all the trolls to admit they were wrong.

Spook, the e-mail you sent me kept crashing my internet, so I didn't get to see the attachment.

BTW, it these donks manage to win this election, I have no hope for this country. They are as morally and intellectually bankrupt as can be, yet they're favoured to take at least the House...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2006 06:21 PM

Keefer, you will never get them to admit that. Trolling sites such as the DU and The Huff Post will get you conspiracy laden posts by people who think they know more then Armitage, Fitzgerald, and the journalists involved with the original leak.

Of course, they also have contigency conspiracy theories, such as that Iskoff and Corn have been pressure by BushCo to make Armitage take the fall, or that the media is in bed with the Bushlerites to cover for Bush/Cheney/Rove, etc

The problem with stock in tin foil is that it will keep going up. There is no downturn in sight. When do you sell? ;)

Posted by: William Teach [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2006 06:51 PM

Hmm... sell a few shares and cash in some now. You should still make plenty to retire on. ;)

Seriously though, this whole flap will disapear quickly and have little effect on the election. Which is why I think they're killing it now and trying to put it behind them. It'll just "go away" and they hope no one will notice.

Posted by: Gozer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2006 08:07 PM

The really sad part is that the conspiracy theory was supported by MSNBC, CNN, and to some extent Fox News, which was the only major channel who did a bit of backtracking.

Posted by: Tina at September 1, 2006 08:27 PM

Isnt it odd? Suddenly a massive lack of interest on the subject of
Plamegate.

Its like all of the trolls suddenly thought of something better to do.

Posted by: rsp at September 1, 2006 09:08 PM

The democrats, liberal media, joe wilson and his wife owe President Bush and the american people a public apology. Then they should hang their heads in shame.

Posted by: james allegro at September 1, 2006 09:14 PM

You're right, Gozer--it seems that every time the truth comes out about their lies, it just gets brushed aside to make room for more. This is why I feel that if we lose the house, the country's screwed...

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2006 09:36 PM

I hope you're wrong keefer but the way things are going you could well be right.

Posted by: Gozer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2006 10:49 PM

I guess this puts a major hole in the Plame/wilson lawsuit against the administration.

Notice we heard a lot about the lawsuit when it was filed...but not a single word about how the Armitage revalation does to that lawsuit.

It figures that the MSM doesn't want to remind the American public just how wrong the media was on this non story.

This is also bad news for future sales of their book(s)...not to mention the movie rights and TV miniseries that they hoped ot get out of this.

But, but, but just yesterday William the Oranje was convinced that the truth will come out about this affair.

Why am I not surprised that fascist is nowhere to be found on this story today.

What a maroon he is...

Even today's New York Slimes says Fitzgerald acted inappropriately and knew who the leaker was on DAY ONE, but kept the action open for 2+ years.

What a joke.

Diddo Keefer, We have enough lazyass people in this country to cost us this country! I fear for this country's future! With defeatist, whose real agenda is to twist Americas arm till we give in, in power, hello U.N. goodbye U.S. military men & women! I mean, just look at how they despise the best our country has to offer........, God help us to do what is right, not what is popular!!!
