The Road to 9/11

There is a series due to be released soon on TV which tracts all of the facts & events leading up to 9/11. The Dems are going nuts about this because it shines the spotlight on all of the CLinton Administration blunders and non-action which have led us to where we are today.

Clinton himself is calling the backers of the film to ask (read: demand) that it be re-edited to cast HIM in a more favorable light.

The unmitigated gall.

I can't wait for this to come out and see our moonbat friends go ballistic.

Will ABC News cave in their documentary "Path to 9/11" which shows how f'd up the Clinton Adminsitration was in handling terrorism?

Many Clintonistas are pleading with Disney and ABC to edit the documentary...and I'm sure the liberal media will do just that.

Will ABC Cave on "The Path to 9/11" [Andy McCarthy]

I’m hearing all kinds of disturbing, though predictable, stories about a Clintonista offensive against “The Path to 9/11,” an ABC documentary written and produced by Cyrus Nowrasteh ("Into the West"), and directed by David Cunningham ("To End All Wars"). I haven’t seen it yet (although I hope to this weekend), but it is already drawing rave reviews from people who have (the piece is reviewed at FrontPage, here).

Apparently, the documentary recounts the bureaucratic bungling and lack of action against al Qaeda that was pervasive prior to the September 11 atrocities. It is by no means, I understand, pro-Bush. It is, instead, an effort to present history accurately. This evidently has many former Clinton officials and apologists in their default kill-the-messenger mode. Great pressure is being brought to bear on ABC and Disney to reopen the editorial process at this late stage (the documentary is supposed to air on September 10-11) so that the years 1993-2001 may remain forever airbrushed.

Will they succeed? This bears watching.

Wow! I can't wait for this to come out. (un-edited, of course).

I would like all posters, to contact ABC, Disney,(as I will be doing) to ask them NOT to give in to pressure by the Clintonistas-who want to "rewrite history". If the "Path to 9-ll" is written with truth, then ABC and Disney both shall
retain credibility. IF NOT, they, like most MSM outlets, will Lose Audience Viewers-because history should reflect the TRUTH, NOT REWRITING IT

Wow September already. My how time flies. I will be very busy this month with Emergency Response Team training and activites from Earthquake preparedness to ICS training. I look forward to the training but I don't look forward to all the double shifts I'll be working to learn it. Gack...

I welcome any and all of you to join me in ICS training which actually counts toward College credit. (Found that out, funny I can get an Associates in Emergency planning or something like that.) http://training.fema.gov/

What is the record number of posts here, and on what subject?

Note: "The Death of Science" Thread has to be a record!!!

ICS = Incident Command System. It's the system used Nationwide (Called NIMS now for National Incident Management System, stupid Feds renaming things for no good reason) to control every accident from a car crash all the way up to an Earthquake or Hurricane.

The infomration you learn on how emergency systems actually work is quite interesting. Plus if folks knew how ICS worked they might not have been as quick to judge the Katrina response. On top of that you'll get to see how your emergency personell respond to things. :)

Thanks for the data, Gozer. I bet the ICS details are fascinating.

Since technology seems to be a theme of the night, here's some more cool tech news: U.S. Interceptor Missile Hits Target

LOS ANGELES (AP) - An interceptor missile destroyed a mock warhead over the Pacific Ocean on Friday in a key test of the nation's missile defense system, officials said. It was the most realistic test of the systems that would be used against an attack, said Missile Defense Agency spokesman Rick Lehner.

The 54-foot interceptor shot out of an underground silo at Vandenberg Air Force Base on the central California coast at 10:39 a.m., 17 minutes after the mock warhead was launched from Kodiak Island, Alaska, Lehner said. The interceptor carried a refrigerator-sized "kill vehicle" that locked on to the approaching mock enemy missile and flew into the 4-foot-long warhead at 18,000 mph.

Lehner said both disintegrated more than 100 miles above the Earth and a few hundred miles west of Vandenberg. The interceptor's flight lasted 13 minutes.

Jo, "Amen" to sending messages to ABC, Disney to not cave into the Clintonistas! It would be wonderful to see "the mainstream media" to actually do an accurate account of a major news story. Usually with Fox you can count on it...hopefully, ABC will stick to their guns and run what they see as an "objective" view of 9/11 -Yes, Jeremiah, wasn't the Death of Science thread great!!! Everyone have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend....and remember, WORK is a good thing! :)

Interesting, I wonder if there were GPS systems in either one. They did say this was a more realistic test so one has to wonder. Good show though no matter what, shows they're progressing. I caught this the other day when I was reading the Japanese news. (It's in english don't worry!)

Colorado: Saudi Man Sentenced to 28 years in prison for keeping SEX SLAVE

CENTENNIAL - ...a Saudi man convicted of sexually assaulting his Indonesian housekeeper was sentenced Thursday to 20 years to life in prison. Homaidan Al-Turki, 37, was also ordered to serve eight additional years for theft charges.

He denied in Arapahoe County District Court that he enslaved the woman and said authorities targeted him because of his religion.

“Your honor, I am not here to apologize, for I cannot apologize for things I did not do and for crimes I did not commit,” he told Judge Mark Hannen. “The state has criminalized these basic Muslim behaviors. Attacking traditional Muslim behaviors was the focal point of the prosecution,” he said.

Prosecutor Natalie Decker said the trial had nothing to do with Al-Turki’s Muslim beliefs. “It has to do with what he did to her for five years,” she said outside the courtroom.

Al-Turki was convicted this summer of 12 felony counts of unlawful sexual contact with use of force, one felony count of criminal extortion and one felony count of theft. He also was found guilty of two misdemeanors: false imprisonment and conspiracy to commit false imprisonment.

The case has captured the attention of the Muslim community worldwide. The Saudi government gave Al-Turki the money he needed to post a $400,000 bond on the charges in Arapahoe County.

Freedom,

Thanks for this post. The quote above could easily be the defense for all terrorist activities against infidels such as us. Its simply amazing that the left doesn't undersatnd this yet.
