How awesome is this?
Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein is being made to watch his appearance in cult cartoon South Park while he is behind bars.
The deposed leader on trial in Iraq was featured in the movie spin-off as the lover of the devil. South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut featured Hussein and Satan attempting to take over the world together.
Speaking at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said US Marines guarding the former dictator during his trial for genocide were making him watch the movie "repeatedly".
"I have it on pretty good information from the Marines on detail in Iraq that they showed him the movie last year. That's really adding insult to injury. I bet that made him really happy," Stone said.

We should soon be hearing from the ACLU about cruel and unusual punishment. Ofcourse, I have not heard what Saddam's reaction was to the movie. For all that is known, he might have enjoyed it.

Wait a minute--did these Marines torture Saddam by making him watch this movie? Where's the ACLU and Human Right's Watch?

Its quite interesting to see a system of justice run by high-school bullies trying to interact with one of the worlds oldest cultures. Do they give him jock-strap-wedgies and noogies too on a regular basis? Perhaps some loud rock n roll and stroboscope too?
You yanks never understood that the way you treat your defeated enemies is important, not necessarily because of the "rights" of the captive but because it marks what kind of enemy you are to those others on the ground. By your childish and stupid-cruel manners you are earning the disrespect of all clanleaders, muftis, sheiks and diverse other authority-figures all over the muslim world.
Shoot the guy if you must, but do it with dignity. All else is stupid and counterproductive. But then again, stupid and counterproductive is more or less the hallmarks of this administration of jocks and greedheads...

Martin, the man is alive, being given a trial, and subject to Iraqi law, not ours. Where are you from?
