Ted Kennedy Becomes Even More Disgusting

Ted Kennedy - who's position in the United States Senate is an enduring blot on our nation's honor - has this to say of Vice President Cheney's remarks about Lamont's victory in the Connecticut primary:

Vice presidents are notorious for serving as an administration's chief attack dog, and time and again Dick Cheney has been unleashed to accuse anyone who is opposed to the Bush administration of aiding the terrorists. But this time he has gone too far.

The comments he made on the result of the Connecticut Democratic primary - that it might encourage "the al-Qaida types" who want to "break the will of the American people in terms of our ability to stay in the fight and complete the task" - are an attack not just on Democrats, but on democracy itself.

Ted knows first hand about going too far - anyone remember this from 1987?

Robert Bork's America is a land inwhich women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens' doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists could be censored at the whim of the government, and the doors of the federal courts would be shut on the fingers of millions of citizens.

That was said about Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork - one of the finest legal minds in America at the time. His crime? He was a conservative. It was Bork's bad luck, however, to be nominated by a GOP President in the pre-talk radio/blogosphere age...a time when someone like Kennedy could assasinate someone's character and the MSM - slavishly devoted to the Democratic Party - would let them get away with it.

Additionally, Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment.

In "A Man Called Intrepid", author William Stevenson outlines Joe Kennedy's activities as Amassador to Great Britain during the early years of World War Two.

The Germans regularly received secret information from someone on Kennedy's staff. Old Joe predicted defeat for England and "even claimed "credit" for talking Chaimberlain into trusting Hitler." He also "sought PERSONAL concessions on the imports of Haig & Haig whisky and Gordons Gin, for which he holds (held) exclusive distribution rights in the United States." Even the Russians disliked him. But Chrurchill HATED him.

With this legacy, it is no wonder that Teddy K turned out the way he did.

Noting that Teddy Kennedy is a disgraceful human being has about the same news quotient as Anderson Cooper (finally) noting that Hezbollah is anti-Jewish.

The real disgrace, though, is the voting populace of Massachusetts, which keeps sending this clown back to the Senate. Kennedy/Kerry---now that says a lot about Massholes, doesn't it?

Cheney is ridiculous, and Kennedy hit the nail on the head. Despite what Bushco may think, the American people are not stupid, and by saying Democrats winning will support "al qaeda types," Republicans are showing that they cannot win votes without scaring the electorate. The American people can see that and will not fall for it again.

Does anyone else think it's interesting how Bush & co always talk about spreading freedom..then refer to anyone who disagrees with them as unpatriotic? Rather funny if you ask me.

Cheney can continue calling all the names he likes. The American public is not going to fall for it.
