Could be that she's too frail to lug around that huge nose.

Get well soon, Cindy Shriekhan--Howard Dean and the rest of the kooks need you. War

The smoothies and coffee with ice cream finally got to her, huh? Good.

Posted by: Reverend Scaramonga [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 11, 2006 10:02 PM

Now Rev, go easy on the old girl; she's obviously mentally unstable.

When are we gonna get around to that tired-ass U.N. resolution that spells "surrender" for Israel? Here we go again. War

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 11, 2006 10:15 PM

Pale maybe...gaunt...nah!! not gaunt...

Posted by: Xango Annie at August 11, 2006 10:16 PM

I don't know keefer. But I DO NOT like what I read on Fox News. (Yes read, I don't have cable) Any comments Matt or Mark?

Posted by: kjstrouble [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 11, 2006 10:18 PM

Well, the resolution won't mean anything because the Hezzies will violate it anyways. Then the IDF should have full reign.

Posted by: Rich at August 11, 2006 11:11 PM

kj, I've been watching the same crap happen over and over again in the Middle East. Another cease-fire, giving the bad guys a chance to regroup and rearm.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how this plays out. War

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 11, 2006 11:22 PM

Keefer-

Are you signing your name 'war' because you WANT war? That's sure as [heck] how it seems to me. Unfortunately innocent people die as a result of your policy. However - liberals want to fight a war on terror. You're all about some Iraq. Makes absolutely no sense.

I have a feeling this comment won't be rejected like the one I posted about Nixon vs. FISA (hint: MMargolis sided with RMNixon. Shocker there.)

Peace and freedom,

JLH

"liberals want to fight a war on terror."

Considering we've recently heard mother sheehan refer to George Bush as the worlds biggest terrorist, the above quote sounds about right. The only difference is the war on terror liberals want to fight is against "Imperialist America" rather than Militant Islam.

I think most of hoped that Israel would destroy Hezbollah, however, I don't think this was the official goal. I think the official goal was to create a buffer between them and Hezbollah. Afther this was achieved an intenational peace keeping force was to come in and back up the Lebanese army to keep Hezbollah away from Israel and to finally disarm Hezbollah.

Israel's UN ambassador says this is a good deal if it is implemented but if it is not implemented it is a bad idea. Well duh!!

Personally I don't like this resolution at all. With this resolution, we hope that a UN peace keeping force will provide an effective buffer. We hope the UN peace keeping force finally disarm Hezbollah. We hope the UN will be fair. All of these polices are based on hope. I detest policies based on hope.

Given the UN's tack record of breaking everything it touches, I ahve no confidence they will be able to pull this off. Keefer, you nailed it. The bad guys will likely rearm and Israel wil have to do this again.

At minimum, a complete victory in the GWOT will require a change in the situation in Iran and Syria. Those regimes will need to be removed. If they are not removed, they wil need to change their behavior or they will need to be neutralized.

I should explain what I mean by a policy based on hope. A policy based on hope is a policy where America's national interests are placed into the hands of others. America has no direct control over whether or not these others actually do what we want them to do. Finally, these others may not even have America's best interests at heart.

Maybe Syria and Iran should send hezzbollah some uniforms so they can fight like men instead of fighting like little Cowards.

You're all about some Iraq. Makes absolutely no sense.

This is pretty good--a troll makes a statement that makes absolutely no sense, and admits it in the very next statement.

Okay, troll, it's Saturday, so I'm going to break my "ignore trolls" policy for one day and answer all your foolish questions.

Are you signing your name 'war' because you WANT war?

No, I'm doing it because I want to let "peace" steve know how much I "miss" him. Nobody likes war, troll, but sometimes war is necessary. Appeasing those who want you dead just hasn't worked in the past, and it won't work today.

Unfortunately, innocent people die as a result of your policy.

Unfortunately, more innocent people die because of appeasement. Stalin, anyone? Hitler? Pol Pot? Rwanda?

However - liberals want to fight a war on terror.

Liar--liberals want to sit down and hold summits with Islamofascists. These murderers have studied the lib mentality for decades; they know how to push the right buttons. Because of talk, Arafat was a frequent visitor to the Clinton White House. Only Monica visited there more. And now, old lady Arafat is living the high life in Paris, spending your tax dollars.

You're all about some Iraq.

This shows your age, if nothing else. I'm "all about" defeating these guys, and Iraq is a central point in the war on terror. As is Europe, Indonesia, the Middle East, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. these killers are everywhere, waiting to pounce. Check under your bed at night.

Makes absolutely no sense.

Don't be so hard on yourself; you tried.

"Nukular?" "Nukular?" Making fun of my president, are ya? You ought to pay close attention to how some of your heroes--Reid, Kennedy, Rangel, et.al.--mispronounce words. And "nucular" isn't even a mispronounciation, you idiot. Go to Europe sometime, and you may learn something. That is, when you're old enough.

Peace and freedom to you too, troll. War War War

I question the timing of this announcment. This is clearly intended to distract from Lieberman being thrown out of the party.

Posted by: Steve at August 12, 2006 07:34 AM

Matt, the last part of my above post was cut-and-pasted from "Nukular's" post--I meant to delete it after I answered the rest of his/her/its comments to me. I'm sure you deleted it earlier for a better reason than given. War

Liberals feigning a hunger strike, while drinking liquid nourishment, should make sure they have a "living will" and be very careful of the hospital where they are sent. Who knows, some liberal doctor may mistakenly pull the feeding tube thinking the liberals were brain dead due to the lack of normal brain activity!

A double post? Yes... the ever present B4B blue-black screen made me do it! My last comment is in that B4B blue screen limbo-land, so I'll just repeat my last comment to break it free!

Well Steve, when would the timing have been better? Wait until the terrorists where on the planes? You and your conspiracy theories. Have you admitted you were wrong about Rove getting indicted yet?

Posted by: Rich at August 13, 2006 09:49 PM

I thought "Mother" Sheehan was still on that hysterical "rolling" hunger strike where each person took a turn at not eating for 24 hours. Maybe Susan Sarandon and other Hollywoood elites bugged out and Cindy had to pick up a few extra fasting shifts.

The problem is, no one cares what she does. She is irrelevant. She is transparently trying to make up for the fact that Casey was brought up by his father and stepmother, and that she was somewhat irrelevant then, too. But she doesn't matter. What she thinks doesn't matter. What she says she does doesn't matter. What she really does do doesn't matter. She's a joke, she has been tossed aside like a used Kleenex by the Left now that her novelty has worn off, and she is desperately trying to regain the small amount of fake fame she garnered by dishonoring her son's memory.

It is the view of the military to detach itself from the personal feelings of thoses whose lifes are in some way but not totally to say effected to a little degree by the atrocities committed by their armies. Having said that let me expose if I may the perception of the few people living in fear of the Terrorist and their ability to hide and attack at will those that they percieve as their enemies. Religion will always raise a certain number of Religious people but you already know that.
