A Defeated President Bush?

Howard Fineman, the other day, opined that by reading President Bush's body language, he could tell that the President was a defeated man - I found it both amusing and interesting for Fineman to say that. Amusing because things like "body language" are, in my view, just a bunch of psychobabble nonsense on par with tarot cards - but interesting because it just shows that for the past 6 years, the MSM has wanted only one thing: to defeat President Bush. To this day, and for many days to come, it seems as though the whole purpose of the MSM and the Democratic Party is to figure out some way to bring President Bush down.

Well, I don't know what Fineman was seeing the other day which made him think President Bush was out of sorts, but Rush Limbaugh as a video clip which makes any such assertions to be, well, rather stupid.

Only 900 days left...

Until another Liberal Democrat has to try to figure out how to get people to vote for him/her without revealing his/her true beliefs.

900 days until the first wave of "unexplained" mass suicides in leftist circles as they realize it will be another 1461 days until the next Republican president is running for re-election.

It will start in San Diego, where a rag-tag band of people called "Heaven's Backdoor" are found layed out in their commune, shrouded in purple capes, empty glasses of vodka and sedative cocktails, plastic bags over their heads, prompting local law enforcement to say:

"We're not talking about a drug-crazed, party-time situation ...The drugs were taken for a very specific purpose and that was to take their own lives."

Only 900 days...

Body language isn't psychobabble - it's a pretty good indicator of what a person is thinking and feeling. Someone who stands up straight with their shoulders back and someone who slouches are in two very different mental states. Bush has conveyed a lack of confidence lately when speaking in front of people. Which is quite understandable - he must have some inkling of how much he's ridiculed for his clumsy prose.

Fineman typifies the Bush haters who desperately grasp at any straw to show they are having some effect.

They couldn't beat him at the ballot box so they concoct polls with questions designed to prove the Bush to be unpopular.

As if this were not enough they create fanciful psycho babble metrics to show the man is metally exhausted, crushed and defeated.

To their eternal consternation, Bush is seemingly unaffected by his critics. He knows that HE is President and there is nothing that they can do about it.

Clinton longed for a legacy, and failed because he wanted everyone to like him. Bush never sought a legacy but saw what needed to be done and he did it.

History will show Bush, like Churchill and Reagan, to be one of the great leaders of his time, willing to do the right thing, despite the political consequences.

Thank you President Bush.
