Hmm... I wonder if his "successor" will clean up the place or if things are only going to get worse once Castro is gone. Though I'm sure the old buzzard is going to pull through unless he has an "unfortunate complication" while in the hospital. Only time will tell.

Gozer,
True enough - but it also might be the time when God calls upon Castro to depart from his rib cage. He does, after all, have a lot to answer for.

Decades ago, America promised not to invade Cuba. How long does that prohibition last? Until Castro's death or is it indefinite? Regime change in Cuba to create a free and democratic government in Cuba would solve a lot of problems.

Castro's brother Raul is more radical than Fidel and is in charge of the military. But lacking Fidel's popularity, he is vulnerable. Thousands of Cubans in Florida long to go home to a liberated Cuba. One wonders how much longer the people of Cuba will consider 1956 Chevys as the best they can hope for. How much longer will Raul be able to keep secret Fidel's dungeons and torture chambers? And if unrest starts to happen, what will President Bush do? Hopefully, show more courage than JFK.

Here's a thought- if Cuba is opened up one major benefactor will be Major League Baseball. (I hope the St. Louis Cardinals act fast, act often)

Oh, and I just thought I'd take a moment to wish Fidel all the best:
"Die a painful and agonizing death, you Commie bastard. Suffer until you beg for death. And then die. And make it soon."

Your support of Castro's tyranny is duly noted.

One can only hope Fidel gets cable tv in his hospital room ... where he can watch "his" people cheering his impending death.

This creep can't die fast enough if he did it forty years ago.
