Heading for the hills for a couple days, dear readers. Up to Pioche, Nevada to do some fishing with some friends (yeah, we Republicans have friends...honest!).
Keep patient with the blog, as this means there's one less person to monitor comments and post content.

I can believe that Republicans have friends, but fishing in Nevada? You mean there's actually some water in that state?

Hug a tree for our lefties and watchout for that "Global Warming" stuff. I hear the trees are melting and the Polar Bears are crying...

Mark, when you're ready for some "real" fishing, stop by the Owens River outside of Bishop, CA. October is the best month...you will be amazed.

Mark, just more proof we are kindred spirits. I've gotten in a few hours since the high water went down after the snow melt season, and am trying to get on the river this Thursday or Friday for a few hours. Good luck, and don't forget to come back to brag.
John---your recommendation to Mark is noted. On the other hand, the Miracle Mile on the North Platte is pretty well-regarded, and if I get up there I'll let you know if I had any luck.
