The Geneva convention does not apply to captured terrorists in Iraq Steve, thanks for playing. But actually I am going to agree with your smart ass statements. Your buddies in Iraq just beheaded two of our captives. Fair enough. We have several thousands of theirs. I would say two thousand foreign fighters executed and fed to pigs would do the trick. They pull this again, we turn a few more thousand into fetilizer. In the Muslim world, you don't go to heaven if your nothing more than a pig's afterthought. The sad thing is we are prosecuting our own troops at a point in time when we should be taking our gloves off against the Sunni. Flame away libs.

Since we're talking about the two soldiers brutally murdered (God bless them and their families), I thought I might post something I borrowed from Michelle Malkin's site:
As parents of a Marine Helicopter pilot, we are saddened by the death of these 2 American soldiers who were captured and killed. But we are at war with a brutal and evil enemy. An enemy who obviously has no regard for a captured soldier's life. An enemy who threatens so many families into performing actions against our troops or else they slaughter them. An enemy who continues to bomb and kill their own innocent people, having no regard for life. I pray that even in this situation, people will see the real difference between fighting for the freedoms these soldiers are hoping to achieve and these brutal coward killers who promote a culture of death. There should be an outcry today from all Americans including the mainstream media and the anti-war lefties in Congress and elsewhere, who have made such noise regarding "inhumane" treatment of captured soldiers or insurgents at Guantanamo or any other place where they are held captive. Can you imagine the outcry there would be today if the situation were reversed? I doubt we will hear the same intensity in their voices or in their printed words regarding these two soldiers. We thank them for their ultimate sacrifice. We pray that God will uphold and provide strength for their families in this difficult time and in the days ahead. May God bless their memory. Let us continue to support and remember our soldiers in your prayers each day. David

Here's a good video of a soldier taking on "I don't need no steenking jury" Murtha. Priceless.

The story of the 2 soldiers literally made me sick to my stomach. I knew as soon as I heard they were missing that they were to be killed if not already. I can only pray that this sensless, murderous conflict will end in peaceful resolution soon.

Sorry, but my money's on Murtha. He's got honorable service in the Marines, and while the truth about Iraq isn't pretty, he's not about to spin this fiasco into "mission accomplished". He may be the last honorable man in Washington.

You know, kritter, a lot of people did a lot of good and honorable things that ended up being pretty much cancelled out by later despicable acts. Murtha's service many many years ago does not give him the right or the authority to make the outrageous, bizarre, unfair, and generally insane comments he has been making.
Not too long ago, actions like Murtha's would have gotten him a nice room in the attic, the room with the chicken wire over the windows. And I sometimes wax nostaligic for those days.
In 2004, I finally decided to put my money where my mouth is and sent $500 to John Thune. It was such a delight to feel a part of getting Tommy Boy Daschle out of the Senate, I have been looking for a good followup, and Diana Irey is my first choice for '06.

RIP to those two soldiers and to their families. I'm sure any year now the left will be upset at their treatment and demand the Geneva Convention and POW standards must be adhered to.
Any year now........
