-- Carter was a screw up in a lot of ways but he was only in for a term. Regan came in with small government and waged war on Unions in favor of big business. With the unions crushed, big business was free to hire much cheaper labour, pumping up their bottom lines at the expense of the middle class.
There has not been a single Republican in power for over 25 years that had a policy favoring the middle class over the rich.

-- So outside of less taxes, you are unable to name a single good thing that he has brought you.
Face it, he bought your loyalty with some $$$ back on your taxes, then passes the debt to the next generation. The US has a 5.25 Trillion debt when Clinton left, its now 8.3 Trillion.
That money has to be repaid and the only way is to eventually repeal many of those cuts.
The tax cuts are a short term thing, they cannot be sustained because of the way the government is churning through revenue. Poor fiscal management.
Bush for example, has borrowed more $$$ from foreign governments than ALL the other past presidents COMBINED.
The Republicans know that eventually the debt will get so bad that they will get tossed out on their butts, then a democrat will come in and fix the mess and then you will want another republican in to drop the taxes again and the circle goes on and on.
Republicans always have out of control spending and debts that always need a responsible democrat to fix

come on axis, quit pretending that Conservative to the Core is speaking for conservatives.
The only reason it would not work to have someone post under a name like Most Liberal Ever would be that when the fake-lib MLE would post something he thought was so outrageous, so over the top, so insane it would serve only to make libs look even goofier, you all would buy into it and swallow it hook, line, and sinker. And, let's face it---how CAN you make libs look goofier? They do it for us, better than any of us ever could. Just look at axis and the so-called Teen Age Liberal. We could never come up with the stuff they do, or show up their ignorance any more effectively than they do.
CTTC thinks he is so clever, but he is so transparent. And he proves the point---if you all had a coherent argument, you'd make it. The fact that you have to resort to games and nonstop attacks is absolute proof that's all you got.
So, "Conservative" to the Core, and Fakeefer, keep playing your childish games. I'd do that, too, if I was a lefty and so intellectually and morally bankrupt I had nothing else to fall back on.
Posted by: Almiranta at June 11, 2006 11:15 AM
Here is axis of ignorance again, spouting some more Canadian economics. Sorry, LIBERAL Canadian economics. Things are better there now.
............
"Its true, hes borrowed so much in 5 years from China alone that they OWN the US right now."
Really? How does that work, exactly, axis?
You see, if you had ever been successful enough to invest in anything other than comic books, you might know that buying bonds is not the same as acquiring a secured interest in whatever entity is issuing the bonds. Bonds are an investment, and therefore a gamble---the investor gambles that the investment will make money for him. He pays his money and he takes his chances.
So, as I have said before, if I invest in San Diego municipal bonds, because they have a good rating, and then San Diego has some problems and can't pay, I do not get to go down to the zoo and pick out a couple of penguins. I do not suddenly own a stretch of beach along Mission Bay.
San Diego might have a hard time selling bonds in the future, but if they have a good reason for the default, such as a tidal wave or something, they might be able to reestablish their ratings in a short time.
Or they might still be the best game in town, compared to the other options.
"If you tabulate all the monies borrowed from foreign governments, bush exceeds all the US past presidents combined."
Check it out, axis of ignorance. Find out the national debt as compared to the GDP in, say, your hero FDR's time. (After you explain that "borrrowing" means selling bonds.)
To put it in terms even you might understand....to you, a debt of a thousand dollars might be extreme, if it were to represent a sizable percentage of your income or assets. But to Bill Gates, it would be miniscule.
So the relevance of the national debt has to be tied to its percentage of GDP. If you bother to look this up, which I don't expect you to do as that would be a pursuit of actual fact and therefore unlike you, you will see that the ratio of debt to GDP is very reasonable.
You could also learn, if you cared, that the rate of deficit reduction is greater than predicted, as tax revenues keep rising. Or didn't you know that the actual revenue taken in by the IRS is higher than it ever has been? Another pesky fact---get rid of it fast, axis, before it taints your faith-based drivel.
"Hes bankrupting the country and you are too stupid to see it."
Yeah...by jump-starting the economy through tax incentivies, thereby getting the economy on a sound basis instead of the fake dot-com bubble that let Clinton claim fiscal genius. By taking steps to prevent, as much as possible, another devastating attack like that of 9/11, with its attendant economic costs.
I guess "bankrupt" means something differnt in Canada, eh? Or is it just in LibLand where you redefine words to accommodate your sad little agendas?

And there can be no doubt that Bush has had a dramatic effect on how the U.S. is viewed by the rest of the world.
I agree with you on that front................we went from the most respected and admired country in the world until Bush came in and in six years, made us the laughing stock in the eyes of the world.
You sir, look like a fool trying to protect the most incompetent president that has ever stepped foot in the White House.
You sir, are debunked.
"America has been in a steady decline since Regan got in and waged war on the unions. "
I cannot believe you just said that. Jimmy Carter anyone? Reagan probably SAVED this country, that's how bad things were. We were practically Canada at the time. A total waste of space and on the brink of socialism.
RIP the Gipper
While there may only be 2% of the population that considers Bush the greatest president ever, that 2$ accounts for the overwhelming majority of GDP.
-- This is why you morons are so dumb, because you are against you own best interests. Conservative has admitted that Bush is all about serving the 1% of the richest americans and nothing more.
I highly doubt that you are among that 1% Conservative, so let me ask you, aside from getting another, what $100 back on your income tax returns, what has this great president done for YOU directly to improve your quality of life???

-- Carter was a screw up in a lot of ways but he was only in for a term. Regan came in with small government and waged war on Unions in favor of big business. With the unions crushed, big business was free to hire much cheaper labour, pumping up their bottom lines at the expense of the middle class.
There has not been a single Republican in power for over 25 years that had a policy favoring the middle class over the rich.

I make three times as much money as five years ago, I pay less in taxes as five years ago, I am extremely busy in my business and have been for about oh 3 1/2 years now, less liberals have goverment entitlement jobs(less taxes), more lower & middle class citizens have military & law enforcement jobs. All these things effect my life in a good way. Thank you George & Company!
One thing I feel we conservatives have fallen short on is the social bookmarking trend. Reddit and Digg and related sites are packed with anarchists and extreme libertarians and DailyKos regulars.
Which is sad, because those sites do have the power to bring interesting news to the attention of all of us.
One potential remedy: http://conservatism.crispynews.com/

Axis... you're Canadian remember. You don't mean anyting to anyone!!
Bush for example, has borrowed more $$$ from foreign governments than ALL the other past presidents COMBINED.
Probably the dumbest statement I have ever read.
Hey all of you brain surgeons bashing Conservative to the Core! He's a liberal pretending to be a conservative, if you were not so tied up in hating conservatives and Bush you would see that. Teenage Liberal, sorry to see you wasted all your time arguing with a person who thinks exactly like you....scary.
Warrior,
No, think about it, I'm sure you can come up with stupid-er statements axis has made; there's so many to choose from.
Axis... you're Canadian remember. You don't mean anyting to anyone!!
-- At least I can come up with original material... Time for you to get a new writer
Probably the dumbest statement I have ever read.
-- And why exactly is that? Its true, hes borrowed so much in 5 years from China alone that they OWN the US right now. If you tabulate all the monies borrowed from foreign governments, bush exceeds all the US past presidents combined. Hes bankrupting the country and you are too stupid to see it.
I sure hope you don't control the checkbook at home warrior
"with people claimng that he is divisive whenever he questions a persons patriotism for opposing his policies."TAL
care to provide the evidence that Presidnet Bush ever questioned the patriotism of the opposition?
come on axis, quit pretending that Conservative to the Core is speaking for conservatives.
