One last New Jersey note: a bridge is just a bridge; a toll bridge is an annoyance; a badly maintained toll bridge is something that should get the local Democratic officeholders tossed out on their ears, but the people seem to want to have high taxes and lousy services and blame it all on President Bush...
I note that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has gone completely lunatic - boldly asserting that President Bush and the GOP stole the 2004 election. This is the psychosis of the Democratic Party these days - they can't understand why they don't win, and thus come up with sick theories about the GOP using skullduggery. It never seems to occur to them that making baseless allegations as a prime means of campaigning begins to wear thin and people look elsewhere for leadership.
The Kossacks are coming, the Kossacks are coming! Yep, the leftwing looney bin is coming to my town - June 8-11 out here in Las Vegas. Good time to be on vacation, if you ask me...the Kossacks are gonna go nuts when they see the ATM machines in the casinos are all made by Diebold....to them, it'll be the GOP getting their personal info so we can steal the 2006 and 2008 elections!
Brendan Miniter - a man I do have immense respect for - was predicting that the CA-50 might be a wake up call for the GOP; stating that it may show that the GOP had better get serious about real issues, rather than concentrating on things like border security and other hot-button issues. Well, the GOPer (Bilbray) ran on a border security issue, and it seems to have worked. Miniter's only problem is that he's been paying attention to the MSM and it's bogus polls. Repeat after me: the MSM is always wrong, the MSM is always wrong, the MSM is always wrong. If you work from the assumption that what the MSM is saying is BS, you'll never be too far off track.
Having a great vacation, boys and girls - I'll be checking in from time to time.
God bless - yeah, even you pinkos out there.

I'd be hard-pressed to think of a more intellectually dishonest member of the American Left than RFK Jr.
The Robert F Kennedy article has stirred up a little hornets nest, mostly because it was so meticiously documented and researched. There is talk of some serious investigations getting started, already a number of republicans in a few states are under indictment for rigging the election.
Then you have the election whistlerblowers as well putting on the heat.
Should prove interesting.
Mark Noonan wroted:
"...and thus come up with sick theories about the GOP using skullduggery. It never seems to occur to them [Democrats--and Yo Mama] that making baseless allegations...."
First of all, Hail Satan! Now, anyone who's actually been following the news knows about that Noe dude and his wife out there in Ohio. If you don't, believe me, it's all true. Yeah, he pleaded guilty to funneling $47,000 into the Republican campaigns out there, but, as you know, if they plead guilty to the lesser, there's usually a lot mo' where that came from.
I wouldn't call it outright "skullduggery." I'd call it sort of self-destructive, half-assed "I-Got-Mine-Bugger-You-uggery," since the ripubbecxlicans always self-destruct eventually, and Noe is livin' proof.
Seriously, you should direct your readers to thissy here old Harper's article. It's an easy read and will show the scoffers and guffawers that there are, indeed, honest questions about Ohio, for instance. This article was titled None Dare Call It Stolen.

You fellers always laugh this stuff off and you can laugh this one off, too, I don't mind. I know the truth, just like I've known about the kidnappings and "renditions" of "suspects," by fine Americans like George W. Bush, to countries where the laws on torture are a little hazier than ours, and I've known it for at least a few years now, while you laughed it off and denied it or laughed it off and said it was okay because somehow 9/11 changed all the rules for you and now torture and US troops targeting non-combatants is all okay.
Dude, just one more thing. You gotta stop with the "the MSM is wrong! The MSM is all lefties!" routine. Try to realize this:
You are the MSM.
Mark, there is evidence of vote tampering in 2004, people are under indictment and others under investigations because of it.
This is a serious problem, and its not a democratic one or a republican one. If the will of the people becomes irrelavent because their vote will be tampered with, people can lose faith in the election process and that can be a dangerous thing.
Look at all the fraud that takes place elsewhere in the world, yet you assume that the U.S. is immune from it?
Axis,
Man, you are out there - the only evidence of voter fraud in 2000, 2002 and 2004 is Democratic attempts at ballot-box stuffing.
You really got to get with the real world.
Axis posts = $$$$$$
The President's use of a "comprehensive plan" in connection with Immigration is code for amensty. Why doesn't he protect the border first and then deal with all related issues.
Hey AXIS, I went to the article you put up the link for. I don't see any facts to lead me to think anything was rigged. Yes it's secret software, don't want just anybody writing code for it, DOH! And as for electronic voting machines....that's what YOUR PARTY wanted! Seems the state edjamakated democrats can't figure out how to punch a card....or at least that is what YOU TELL US. I can't help it that Republicans get better educations. OR that 4th graders and Republicans can work a punch card OK. Seems like the kool-aid has hit a few of the ole adult brain cells on your side. Anyhow I could go on and on about sons of elected officials cutting the tires of Republican Voting Vans, and all the quriks in WI. or WA. but our side doesn't dwell on that. We say, "What can we do to get it right the next time?" and try to get legistation passed that makes it so 1 person = 1 vote, like VOTER ID. I know that just makes you libbies cringe but it does make sure no one votes twice, or that dead people vote, or Dick Tracey or Donald Duck get to vote. I'd go for the purple ink on your finger to sport around with. At least that way you can brag that you voted to your co-workers and maybe get them to vote too. Anyway I hate to argue about such nonsense. Let's work together to make it 1 Person = 1 Vote. And then we can go back to letting the best man/woman win. How 'bout it?
The Radford article has stirred up quite a hornets nest mostly because it was so meticulously documented and researched. There is talk of some serious investigations getting started, already a number of Yetti's in a the Province of British Columbia are under indictment for stupidity for beliving anything a Kennedy writes.
Dude, just one more thing. You gotta stop with the "the MSM is wrong! The MSM is all lefties!" routine. Try to realize this:
You are the MSM.
Sorry, bin(Laden)thar, but this, just as is the rest of your stupid post, is wrong. The blogosphere is not the MSM, aka drive-by media; the blogosphere, and talk radio, are the new, reliable media.
Now scurry on back to CNN, CBS, ABC, and NBC, where you belong. Go collect some more lies, bin(Laden)thar...
Every effort to clean up the voting system is met by resistance from the Democratic Party. This has to make you wonder why.
In Florida in 2000, a Democrat designed a ballot which was approved by Dems, who then hired a telemarketing company out of Texas, weeks before the election, to call registered Democrats on election day to tell them they probably "accidentally" voted for the Republican. Not one single person complained about the ballot being too complicated until getting a call saying it was. The obvious questions were:
One, if the Dems thought it was too confusing, why did they approve it, and
Two, why did they approve it and then set up a calling system to convince their own party members that they had been tricked into voting for Republicans?
Answer: They knew they were going to lose, and were setting up a deniability factor well in advance to create chaos, confusion, and a basis for challenging the ballot count. We all know what that kind of political maneuvering cost us.
This is only one of the devious techniques used by the Dems. What have the Republicans done? Well, according to a Ranty Rhodes tinfoil-hat-brigade fan, the REPUBLICANS sent "computer geeks" into voting booths, to close the curtains and then "reprogram the mainframe"---yes, from the voting booths. After they completed their foul (but unspecified) deeds, they "reprogrammed" the mainframe back to its original status, so no one could tell what they had done.
(Hey, if we are the party smart enough to figure out how to use a touch screen to reprogram a mainframe, I say we deserve to win on that alone.)
But we can point to incident after incident that is factual, verifiable, and verified, where the Dems can only point to wild speculation to accuse the R's.
So...let's clean it up.
Let's mandate exactly the same kind of voting mechanism for every single federal election. If states want to use toothpicks or matchsticks to count votes in local elections, let them. But federal ballots and federal votes should be uniform.
Let's fund the mailing of non-forwardable registration letters to all registered voters all across the country, stating that to remain registered the voter must fill out a form, clearly labeled to be under penalty of perjury for false statements, stating that the registrant is not a felon, does not vote in any other location, is a citizen (with verifiable ID info for naturalized citizens) and so on. Any undelivered letters result in those names being removed from the rolls. Anyone who has moved must go into his new precinct to register there, filling out the same form. This will get rid of a lot of dead voters, and a lot of double-dippers.
No same-day registration. No Motor Voter. The silly idea that the more voters the better needs to be scrapped for good. The fact is, those who care enough to get registered should be the ones to vote, not people too uninvolved or lazy to even get their heinies down to the precinct office to register.
Inform every single voter that a ballot does not become a vote unless it is executed clearly enough to be readily read to indicate a vote. If it must be interpreted, it is not a vote----it is just an invalidated ballot.
Count every single correctly executed vote. Every one. Count every absentee ballot, every military ballot. The idea that votes are thrown out because someone has determined that they don't count because they can't change the outcome of a state's electoral college votes is just plain wrong. Every vote should be counted.
And every voter should have to show a picture ID.
No translators in polling places. Americans should speak enough English to be able to vote.
Penalties for voter fraud should be severe, and should be applied in every proven case.
That is how to clean up the voting system. Think the libs would stand for it?
"There is talk of some serious investigations getting started..." axis
Bwahahahahaha!!! Maybe on the moonbat blogs.
But the link to the PRESS RELEASE from a democrat candidate for office was really the clincher for me. Bwahahahahahahahahah!!!
Apparently a press release passes as proof, when you're wearing a tinfoil hat. Bwahahahahaha!
Almiranta ,
A lot of that is to blame for the people. There is corruption on both sides of the fence, especially this congress, which is why some democrats are getting tossed out on their ear and replaced with new blood.
People need to take and stand and DEMAND better performance and cleaner elections. If people lose faith in the democratic process, the country sinks into turmoil
So, axis, are you saying that you would support the kinds of election reform I outlined?
I appreciate your acknowledgement that corruption is found on both sides of the aisle. It is a refreshing change from the claim that only conservatives are corrupt. As long as we have to choose our representatives from the human gene pool, we are going to make some bad choices, and get some real stinkers.
When and if we can avoid assigning ethical failures to party philosophy, or---better yet---avoid HAVING ethical failures reflect party philosophy---we can make some progress.
But the first place to start is to make sure that elections are as clean and transparent as humanly possible, and then stop casting aspersions on the election results just to undermine the authority of the winner. Bogus claims of election fraud have gone a long way to making people "lose faith in the democratic process".
Well, the GOPer (Bilbray) ran on a border security issue, and it seems to have worked.
Well, sure, but he was running for office in San Diego -- a border city. Of course border security is going to be big there.
That said, border security IS a big issue anywhere in the country these days. And our Canadian border doesn't look much safer than the Mexican one, either.
Man the Dems just don't want to give up on voter fraud and playing the blame and fear game do they ?...let's see: JFK won by vote fraud in Illinois, Lyndon Johnson scared the bejabbers out of the public with fears of nukes falling everywhere, Jimmah Carter blamed the Oscar Meyer Weiner for everything from ruining the economy to crabgrass in the WH lawn, and Bill Clinkstones won twice because he ran against 'read my lips'and then ran against 'embalm my lips, please!', blaming them for terminal dullness. Both replied nnnnnoo we dddddidn't. Even Al Gore can't give it up..His bathroom has wallpaper saying "I WON, I WON"...Let's see what happens in '06 and '08..
