i'm going to start with the da vinci code. i saw the movie this past monday. didn't read the book, but my wife did. wasn't really interested in seeing the movie but i went.

the movie was okay. long. the acting wasn't great, but not horrible. and the story was suspenseful enough for me to stay interested.

but from the big stink made about this movie and book i'll just say that if either of the two make you question your faith, then your faith wasn't that strong to begin with. so i really don't know what the big controversey was/is all about.

i've been a catholic all of my life. to me it was just another movie/book that slams the catholic church. i'm used to it. i know to some that the catholic church is the one pure evil in this world, but i know better. the best thing that i can do is ignore because then you start to give credence to the others.

me thinks the Fed should continue to raise interest rates...so we don't have to worry 'bout gas prices slowing the economy.

something like that.

huh? (whad he say?)

Interesting comment from Newsbusters...

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) is leading the charge against the "culture of corruption" among the Republicans. Here's another Google search to run. Try D'Alesandro + corruption + Baltimore. You will get just 194 hits. Why D'Alesandro?

Well, Nancy Pelosi grew up as Nancy D'Alesandro. She was the daughter of one Baltimore Mayor, Tommy D'Alesandro Sr, and the sister of another, Tommy III. Both Tommys were crooked as a dog's hind leg, but only one ever was charged with anything.

Tommy III was charged with rape as a young man, and charged with bribery as Mayor (along with a City Councilman, Mimi DiPietro). In both cases the charges were dropped when the principal witnesses made themselves scarce. In the bribery matter, the witness surfaced in a Las Vegas hotel connected to the mob, the day after the charges were dropped.

I've got a few gripes about certain posters at B4B:

1. Someone said I call all liberals communists, which is just wrong. While a great many of you are commies, I know that some of you are are scumbags, some are homosexuals, a few of you are Canadians (as derogatory a status as is humanly possible), some are lunatic moonbats, a few are French (just found something lower than Canadians), some are Satanists, and a select few are Jon Stewart. But most of you are communists.

Oh, and there are plenty of pedofiles, too, as evidenced by the support I saw from you for Dutch pedofile political parties.

2. I don't know whether it is keefer (lower-case "k" for konservative) or Queefer (capital "Q" for Queerbait), but I fully support the dedication to grammar and spelling. The quality of one's writing says a lot to the quality of one's thinking. If you can't spell or write, you likely cannot think.

Keep up the good work (even if that work is by the pedofile, Queefer).

3. Salvenius, I'm still looking for a change of screen name. It is easy to mock Queefer, as-if, and the rest of them, but if I can't come up with a mocking name for you, we can't even have a dialog. Hell, even Teenage Gibberish has a name with which I can work (note there is no ending preposition, Queefer).

Falgore,

I saw the movie as well and had the pretty much the same reaction as you.

Though, I don't really see it as slamming the Church. It does portray Opus Dei as this secret cult that will murder to protect the secret of the grail, but it does take steps to separate it from the church ('If the pope finds out, we'll be excommunicated'), but more importantly, I think it just how it fits into the story line of "what if the holy grail is Jesus' bloodline?"

I don't think it's meant to slam the church. I mean, the main villain in the film is not really the church, but someone who is against the church.

One thing film does do is bring light to some of the gospels and other writings that didn't make the bible. But it doesn't try to convince people that Jesus was not divine (I haven't read the book, so don't know if the same could be said for that), and, I don't even think it tries to convince people that Jesus had a kid. I think it's just a "what if?" scenario that makes a pretty interesting film.

Mark comparing it to the Protocols of the Elder Zion looks even more rediculous after I saw the film. I suggest he sees other films before he writes any more screeds against them.

I'm curious as to why the folks in Washington think it makes sense to cut anti-terrorist funding to New York and Washington DC itself by 40% while other areas of the country such as the mid west are receiving increases. I'm sure the cows in Idaho will be nice and secure in their armored cattle cars while the people in NY and DC scratch up enough funding for police and surveillance equipment and wait patiently for the next terror attack. I’m sure this has nothing to do with these areas’ voting history. That would be playing politics at the expense of the American people. That would never happen...

As for Salvenius, just call him "Saliva". And you can call bloviator "blowmelater."

Do I detect an element of envy toward the French & Canadians? There is a very thin line between hate & love. Perhaps you are, in your heart of hearts, a lover of all the things you say you despise.

I suppose it makes sense that they write at a third-grade level, as they think at a third grade level.

They think voting for POTUS is like voting for class President. "I'm not voting for you because you have the cooties. Regardless of whether your other accomplishments, you still have the cooties."

In this case, cooties is love of freedom and accomplishments like the handling of Osama bin Laden.

President Bush is full of the cooties. Am I right, fellas?

Canadian Observer

You are so worthless that I don't even take the time to mock your name. That is how little your country means on a Global scale.

CO: "Do I detect an element of envy toward the French & Canadians?"

Oh yes. If you read what I wrote about you:

Canadian: "As derogatory a status as is humanly possible" and of the French: "I just found something lower than Canadians."

I suppose if I thought in fluent Moonbat I'd take my of statements of envy. As with all liberals, it doesn't matter what you hear, by the time it makes its way to your reptilian brain, you've heard something else.

"derogatory as humanly possible" = "I want to be you"

and

"even lower than that" = "I dislike you because you are better than me"

Because love and hate are so close?

Well then I guess I must truly love you. Come give Papa some sugar once I've gone and fetched my twelve gauge. Daddy's got a gift for you, you little scamps, Corpulent Prophet and as-if.

Yeah, maybe I got this love/hate thing worked out fine.

You know, as I have said time & time again, America & the American people are great. The Bush administration, on the other hand, is not. I do not confuse the two. When you voice your contempt for entire nations, without reason, it makes me question your intellect.

Perhaps, the notion of what Bush's policies have done to international reputation of the US is making you lash out in frustration at those who still carry some integrity on the world stage.

For you far-right conservatives longing to massacre evil liberals, there's a new video game coming out just for you! It's called LEFT BEHIND - Eternal Forces by Left Behind Games, a developer committed to making video games "that perpetuate positive values and appeal to mainstream and Christian audiences".

Set in New York City following the Rapture, you command the Tribulation Forces against the AntiChrist's Global Community Peacekeepers which are headquartered in - where else - the UN. You get to convert or slay ALL of the non-believers, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Gays, MSM reporters and everybody else who isn't an evangelical christian. And, when you kill them, their bodies don't disappear - corpses just pile up in the streets as the game progresses!

Best of all, killing non-believers is fun for the whole family! The developer anticipates the game "will likely receive either an "E" rating (appropriate for ages 6 and up) or a "T" rating (appropriate for ages 13 and up)". It's never too early to start teaching your kids about hating and murdering those who don't follow your beliefs... in the name of God of course!

bearmanUSMC,

Actually, if you bothered to look into it, you would have found that they did not even look into the matter, rather they said they did not believe there was enough to open an investigation.

In otherwords, coverup by not investigating. Not to worry, the media will do the investigating for them just in time to spill the beans before the midterms.

Posted by: axis [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 11:19 AM

Nice imagination extracrispy, you wish things were that black and white(they are not), and yet you vehemently & venemously oppose christians who are not in the street killing liberals! As a matter of fact all we have to do is mention the name of God in public and you whine & cry all the way to the hill! Killing you guys is completely uneccessary anyways! You pose no danger, your just a fly in the ointment, or a thorn in my ash!

Posted by: bearmanUSMC [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 11:20 AM

The media can't get crap right these days Axis, why don't you head up an investigation! I did look into it, and the military did an investigation and has promised full cooperation with the Iraqi government, if they investigate.

It's never enough for you Axis, unless some ding-a-ling reported "busts it wide open" and turns it into another so called scandal to drag the U.S., it's military, it's people, and the administration thru the mud! In that order too!

Imagination? I wish I were imagining it. It's very real - they showed a working copy at E3 (the annual video game conference) a few weeks ago. It's driven by the popularity of the Left Behind movie series.

I'm close to convinced that the main goal of Christian conservatives is to officially turn America into an Christian theocracy and then wage holy war on the entire Muslim population worldwide. Hopefully, mainstream Republicans and moderate conservatives will push those nuts back into the closet where they can't hurt anybody.

Wow talk about conspiracy theory! Sorry, been around the "Christians" all my life(except when I didn't want to be). They are not like that and it's a wicked pipe dream you have there! The worst you'll get from christians is lobbying for laws & legislation saying you have rights, just don't ruin our childrens lives! Of course that to you is probably like killing you!

Extra, I wouldn't be suprised if some Rich liberal(todays liberal that is) John F. Kerry type is marketing that game to make a buck on the high school population of something!

Posted by: bearmanUSMC [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 11:48 AM

Actually, they plan to market it the same way they marketed "The Purpose Driven Life" - through mega churches. The first 400,000 copies of that book were sold for $7 to ministers and church goers, who went on to "evangelize" the book. Pretty brilliant marketing, I'd say - way better than some rich liberal could do.

Posted by: extramedium [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 12:00 PM

oh yah and those two items are so similar! Bwahahaaahahaaaaaaa!!!

Posted by: bearmanUSMC [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 12:06 PM

Well, in fact they are. Both "The Purpose Driven Life" and the "Left Behind" book series were both initially distributed through evangelical churches. The game is an extension of the book, and they plan to market it in the same way. Do you think I'm making this up?

Posted by: extramedium [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 12:14 PM

I don't think your making anything up, i do think you don't know enough about them to draw your conspiracy from!

I do not believe or even remotely share belief in the rapture or the left behind series. I do however know enough about it to know that it doesn't condone violence toward liberals or any others. It definitely doesn't condone war on islam!

Most christians of any doctrine believe that when that day comes God will exact vengence on those who have been judged & he will accept those who have accepted him. Our battle/War is spiritual not physical! We seek to harm noone and we absolutely can live in peace with others(unless they don't want to live in peace!)

This does not mean christians are perfect, there have been many over the years who have used religion and Jesus Christ to their own personal gain(they will get theirs...oh yes they will get theirs!) We aren't even in to killing those self serving, self righteous, traitors! They are the ones that give christians a bad rap. Not the every day christian that has chosen to live by the good book and it's suggestions for good clean living!

Posted by: bearmanUSMC [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 12:54 PM

bearman

I congratulate you on the your peaceful message.
Great relief to know you are not into killing self-serving, self-righteous traitors. Whew!!

The feelings of love radiates from your post.

Posted by: Canadian Observer [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 01:04 PM

Now this is rich.

Left Whorium is giving advice to BlowAviators. I love how the left has to gang up on a conservative in an utterly hatred-filled way, just because he gently posited an opinion with which they disagree.

And Turd, I Bland -

I can't believe your lame argument about Osama, just so you won't have to admit that Gearge Bush has cooties, and he has 'em big time. Drop the Kool-Aid and say thay GWB has cooties, man. It'll feel better. Go ahead and try it.

But on to the big points:

The French "saved" our bacon by sending some ships that sat off-shore trapping the English in the final battle of the Revolution. Nice work if you can get it, showing up at the end and saying you won the war.

And Teenage Driveler says I "bag" on foreign countries (nice English, eh, keefer?) as if that is the distillation of my thought.

It is not "bagging" on Canada to point out the fact that they are worthless, meaningless, without any redeeming qualities and should be simply annexed to the USA were it not for the problem that there would be a lot more communist liberals voting, which would send our great nation into a downward spiral. These are just facts, not "bagging."

It is not "bagging" when I state that most fauna and even some flora are higher on God's scale of living beings than peoples from such horrible places as Canada, France, Mexico, Uganda, Italy, Germany, Bangladesh, Russia, Switzerland, Malaysia, and "Stan," Upper Volta, Lower Volta, California, Greenwich Village, Turkey, Syria, Iran, N. Korea, all of Africa (except S. Africa) all of Europe (except for England) all of Asia (except...ok, all of Asia), and S. America. The jury os out on Australia.

This not simply, "bagging" on other countries, you idiot! Know the difference!

Posted by: Conservative to the Core [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 01:13 PM

Bear,

so you're saying that Osama is nothing more than a symbol. So you have just proved my point, Osama doesn't have to ever be involved in another terrorist act, he continues to be a rally point for Islamic militants, and thats his point, just like Charles Manson was a symbol, he will foment rage in those cirlces that will listen to him, there hasn't been a missle created that can kill an idea, so what is your premise, that we can continue to invade (illegally) ME countries and that eventually they will realize the follies of their way, and just submit to us, you dont think they will continue to use Osama as a fairytale told to children for generations to come, used to create strife until the end of time, the mere fact Der Leader has written him off, is nothing more than another example of how out of touch with reality his policies are. Che has been dead for many years yet they still make shirts and re-read his writings, and form groups in his ideals, and are still viable insurgent (militarily/political) forces in many south american countries and beyind, he is a SYMBOL that we cannot crush nor ever kill, good job with screwing up the ONLY job we asked Bush to do, get the guy who brought down our buildings, not compartmentalize or ignore him, GET HIM DEAD OR ALIVE, and he couldn't even manage that, what a great wartime leader.

Posted by: Third Eye Open [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 01:21 PM

Well then, Bearman - I'd say it's safe to say my comments are not directed at you. I was raised christian myself, but I wouldn't call myself a "Christian" - insofar as it is commonly nowadays used as code for "Born Again Christian". And yes I personally know christians of all faiths, even evangelicals. But I'm here to tell you, there's some scary stuff going on in those megachurches. And I defend their right to practice their religion however they like, whether it's fleecing their flocks, speaking in tongues or playing hateful video games. I only ask that they tolerate those who disagree with them and don't use our government to force their views on others.

Posted by: extramedium [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 01:24 PM

That's the sad part extra! Our beliefs on all sides lead us to believe differently than the other man/woman! It's a vicous cycle, you believe(assumed) that a woman has a right to abort a fetus because a fetus is not a life in your belief, in my belief life starts at conception! You believe (assumed) homosexuals are born that way & science proves it, I believe(take into consideration that my friend & father-in-law & brother-in-law are gay, and we love them)that homosexuality is a lust of the flesh and your born with it about as much as your born an alcoholic! Wether we agree with each other or not makes little difference, we can however agree that the system is set up so that those with the majority same opinions or ideals make the rules! If that means evangelicals rule the roost, so be it(I don't think they will take libs out to the street to kill them)! If it means liberal have the majority, so be it! That's the great thing about America! I STILL BELIEVE IN AMERICA!

Posted by: bearmanUSMC [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 01:42 PM

Blind eye, your talking in circles! You say we can't kill the idea, so what's the point in killing Osama, but your leader is a miserable failure because he hasn't been able to kill him? Huh? I never said anything about invading other countries in the M.E., we will however continue to look for an opportunity to capture or kill bin laden, in the meantime we have much bigger fish to fry that you haven't even heard about on CNN!

Ask your self, are you a liberal or not! If you are then I understand your "we can never win attitude", if not then pull your head out, you italian/cuban creampuff.......oh I mean beefcake! LOL! J/K big guy, don't get offended!

Posted by: bearmanUSMC [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 3, 2006 01:50 PM

Bear,

Did we or did we not ask Bush to get Osama...he failed, even with the greatest military in the world at his disposal, he CHOSE to move our resources elsewhere without rhyme or reason, we haven't kep the peace in Afghanistan, so if his point was to create a stable society, then he has failed again, If he went to Iraq to form a stable society, wow, another failure.

I am not a defeatist, but I can see when our plans aren't working, this isnt a military failure, its a political one, and since the liberals don't control any of the levers of power, then who does the responsibility for this failure belong to?

"Now this is rich.

Left Whorium is giving advice to BlowAviators. I love how the left has to gang up on a conservative in an utterly hatred-filled way, just because he gently posited an opinion with which they disagree."

As for hatefilled you seem to be at the brim.
Look Constipation to the core, If you actually provided an opinion with a touch of actual truth, or heck I'd even settle for a slightly original opinion, instead of what anyone can find in Skinhead Monthly, I'd gladly leave you alone.
Sorry but you can't fire the first shot at someone then play the victim when they tear you a new one. Come on !! you're from the pull yourself up by your own bootstraps party,MAN UP!!! and don't go cryin....just go.

You are a defeatist and nothing could be more clear! believe it or not, those of us in or related to the military who actually have hands on experience over there realize that your interpretation of what is happening in Iraq is not neccessarily the right one! You are A DEFEATIST & A PESSIMIST! I believe you will be proven wrong again & again, but that really stands to interpretation. I mean I believe you guys have been grounded & proven wrong so many times already that without MSM spin your grave would be full by now.

To answer your question, " No, I never asked Bush to get bin-ladled. I ask him to secure this country and get terrorists world wide! I gave him permission to invade countries & regimes harboring terrorist and aiding or abbetting them. He has done EXACTLY what I asked him to do and then some! You see, we HAVEN'T been attacked here since 9/11, the taliban has been routed tho not annihilated, saddaam has been held to task for years of misdeed, he can no longer illegally invade neighbors or threaten Israel! The terrorist will not go away, ever, but we can continue to hand their butts to them in a sling and make it hard for them to get WMD's(which you know they would love to have)!

It isn't a military or political failure, as a matter of fact it will only be a failure if you moonbats succeed in turning the world and more importantly the middle east against us with all your claims of incompetence, illegal war, torture, etc.etc. i personally think you will continue to fail miserably, but we'll see. there is still alot of room for improvement and disaster!

we haven't kept the peace in Afghanistan? What is your idea of peace? Should they be up to par with the developed world, or the U.S. or the European eutopia! What is your Idea of keeping the peace, blind you truly are.

Left Whore

I didn't start this flame war of yours, but I guess I'm going to have to finish it.

I do not hate the left the way you scum-suckers hate the right. I offer reasoned and logical discourse to shitheels such as yourself, and somehow you always find a way to view it as negative. If you'd clear the caked-on bullshit from your fetid, devious eyes, drained your stupid head of the despicable communist thoughts inside and really listened to what I say, you'd recognize that there isn't a petty, angry word in anything I write.

But no, you have so much hatred for Bush and for America that you feel you can just spew venom without making any real point, and delude yourself into thinking it is reasoned discouse.

You make me puke.

Not.

Looks like Canada elected a conservative just in time to violate its citizens civil rights. Canadian Observer are you there? Are you pro Freedom Fighter or pro Canadianhitler?

I thought so, pro Freedom Fighter.

Nevermind foreign terrorists, why is Canada growing its own extremists?
Stewart Bell, National Post
Published: Saturday, June 03, 2006 (via LGF:)

"They are young, militant and Canadian. And according to senior counterterrorism authorities, they have been plotting large-scale terrorist attacks on Canadian soil.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service acknowledged this week it has been investigating groups of “homegrown” extremists. In candid testimony to the Senate national security committee, the agency went on to say that these young followers of the “al-Qaeda ideology” have been plotting against targets within Canada.

“They are not looking to Afghanistan, the U.K. or anywhere else,” Jack Hooper, the CSIS Deputy Director of Operations, testified on Monday.

The exact targets of these young terrorists were not revealed, but it is their profile that is most shocking: young Canadian Muslims who have somehow become radicalized while growing up in Canada. They are “homegrown.” In other words, they have emerged from within Canada, rather than infiltrating it from abroad. They are insiders, not outsiders like Millennium Bomber Ahmed Ressam, who was behind Canada’s last major terrorism scare in 1999.

“Increasingly, we are learning of more and more extremists that are homegrown,” says a declassified CSIS report obtained by the National Post. “The implications of this shift are important.”

Across the Atlantic, the term “European Jihad” is now used to describe the new generation of young Muslim extremists who not only live in Europe, but also consider it a legitimate terrorist target.

A Canadian Jihad is apparently underway as well.

What ya gonna do when they come for you...

"Newly appointed Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson has been given the daunting task of closing ranks with the Federal Reserve and supervising an “orderly devaluation" of the dollar. There's great concern that a “sudden disorderly adjustment” will precipitate a run on the dollar, traumatizing the markets and sending the economy into a tailspin. Regrettably, there are no easy choices; the dollar is losing air, and fast. The accumulated weight of unfunded tax cuts, extravagant military expenses, personal debt, and global trade imbalances have taken a wrecking-ball to the greenback and left little room for hope. Paulson’s job is to turn the dollar’s downfall into a “controlled demolition” rather than a full system meltdown."

Everytime I read your spin on how good the economy is doing, I have to pull back to reality and consider the effects of W's damage to the U.S.

Who are you going to believe? The buttsniffers that are the regulars here? Take the blinders off and find out what is going to happen to the dollar very shortly.

No wonder you want to destroy the world. What a mess you have made.

The media can't get crap right these days Axis, why don't you head up an investigation! I did look into it, and the military did an investigation and has promised full cooperation with the Iraqi government, if they investigate.

-- Funny how the military denied the haditha incident until Time did a huge article about it and then they were forced to look into it.

Ifnot for reporters, these murderers in the military would be free to kill more instead of behind bars where they belong

Sounds ALMOST like communism to me..........oh wait sounds like my little own socialist republic of california too! Bwahahahaaaahahaaaaaa!

-- Yup, high taxes here is a common complaint, however ensuring universal health care is the number one priority and then cutting taxes number 2.

Considering how many complaints americans have about their country and government, one problem from canadians makes us look a lot better than your situation

I will say it again bearman. The military initially CLEARED all those involved in the haditha incident too. Until it was forced to do a complete investigation which revealed serious wrong doings and coverups.

I guess you missed the Iraqi PM condemning the US military and stating that the troops are killing innocent civilians regularly.

See that's the difference between our leadership and theirs! You will not hear an ounce of blame or serious critisism from the administration when it comes to all the B.S. mishaps, screw-ups, pure lies, or political bigotry we hear daily in the press. nor will our leadership critisize the job our boyz are doing because they live in the reality that their job is friggin hard. You expect our boyz to walk on eggshells while they get their legs blown off! And if they don't, there you are ready to crucify them with every little mishap. well I said it once(you responded well, kudos for that), but I am sick and tired of our boyz having to wade thru B.S. every day while they are putting their lives on the line, so I'll say it again! Go F..k yourself Axis! Our boyz are the best. How do I know? Because I served with them you ignorant liberal prick! Oh yeah, I'm still waiting for your all knowing solution for world peace!!!

That is B.S., unfortunately people like you are more willing to believe the B.S. over the integrity of our troops!

-- Not at all, the fault for the most part lies with Bush and Rummy for lying america into an illegal and un-neccessary way and for bungling the aftermath leading to all this mess. Trrops are also not being trained with proper rules of conduct and engagement and also not being trained on geneva convention rules.

Maybe the P.M. should get his fat ass out there with the IRAQI troops that are fighting side by side with our troops and do a little dirty work himself!

-- Nope, we are actually over in Afganistan where the terrorists actually are and cleaning up the mess after the US cutand ran from there to go into Iraq.

See that's the difference between our leadership and theirs!

-- Indeed, we're actually fighting the terrorists while your troops are killing Iraqi civilians fighting because you are illegally occuping their country.

You will not hear an ounce of blame or serious critisism from the administration when it comes to all the B.S. mishaps, screw-ups, pure lies, or political bigotry we hear daily in the press.

-- Correct, thats a typically conservative failing, the inability to accept responsibility forones own actions and to admit to a mistake when they make them. Thats why you always make mistakes over and over and over again, because you never learn from them.

nor will our leadership critisize the job our boyz are doing because they live in the reality that their job is friggin hard.

-- They already are. Bush has promised to send those responsible for attrocities to prison, just as he has done in the past for prison abuse.

You expect our boyz to walk on eggshells while they get their legs blown off! And if they don't, there you are ready to crucify them with every little mishap.

-- No, I expect your military to give the troops proiper body armour and armoured vehicles so they are not being killed un-necassarily and also to send in enough troops to get the job done instead of just enough to hang on.

Speaking of the military isn't it odd how many of them goto war as conservatives and yet come back as liberals?? Isn't it odd how conservative caused wars and attrocities can make people see the light and the evil truths behind conservatism.

Bear,

My idea of peace is a country where we don't have military guys so jumpy, and obviously hated, that they feel its necessary to shoot into a crowd of people throwing rocks.

You think that our military is some police force that we can just throw into any situation and expect them to overcome all adversity.

You are a white face in a part of the world, that doesnt much like us. If Bush was paying attention during his time at Harvard, maybe he would have recognized that the history of this part of the world is one where outsiders from the persian fold are seen as invaders and are subject to violent removal, we realized this with ole' Raisin head Reagan when he was backing arabs and nationalistic persians to fight another white invader, Russia, look how it ended for them, and look what we reaped from it (9/11).

If we wanna solve this clash of civilizations, we have to make these guys stand up, but not with heavy handed tactics, but by letting the people who look, sound, and believe much more like these people (wider, moderate arab world) to take over the reigns. We need to remove our white-bread asses, Quick-fast-and in a hurry, we need to remove all plans of further puppet US governments, and sweetheart oil natural gas deals, let multinational Turkish/jordanian/pakistani forces get shot at for a while, I guarantee a month or two of seeing that, and these countries will have every moderate cleric in the known universe on Al Jazeera, rebutting crazy Wahabi readings of the Koran, and starting to build a stronger economic base within the wider muslim sphere of influence. Like any blowhard guy ive ever met, the key to peace is tact, and a little guile, you just gotta make them feel as though things are getting done their way,but on OUR time schedule, when they feel like their wants are being answered (security, social ills, economic resurgence) you will see them moderate their views, if we can find cottage industries for products and services that Afghanistan used to be known for (arts, livestock, medicine) prior to the 1960s, we can set a precident for other nations, but this isnt gonna happen while we are crashing trucks into traffic jams and shooting the people who get pissed off about it. But thats just my view

I would love to hear your plan for winning this war, or are you so happy with the war things are being operated so far. If you are happy, then explain how exactly you ever plan to remove our troops, stop the civil war, and build a dynamic and prosperous economy? If you're so into Der Leader's master plan, maybe you can lay down some of the fundamental parts of it, since I am obviously too blind to see them, please, im sure everyone else here would love to know what the all powerful Oz has told you that makes you so confident that we are infact on the right path, or turning corners, or whatever silly euphamism he wants to use this week.

The "religion of peace" scares a nation. This is pathetic.

England afraid to fly its own flag

"Following warnings by extremist Islamic group al-Muhajiroun, in which the group said that the red cross in the England flag symbolizes the ‘blood thirsty crusaders’ and the occupation of Muslims, some of the largest companies in England have ordered their workers not to wave the flags.

The flag has recently appeared in England on everything from bikinis to cars, and sold in endless versions in stores.

But the Islamic protest forced some corporations, such as cable companies NTL, Heathrow airport in London, and even the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Agency to ban the flag in every form due to fears from reactions of Muslims.
********

Perhaps Muslims are afraid that England will remember that Muslims waged war against Christians for over 400 years before Pope Urban II declared the first Crusade. Can't have that. (scroll down)

Third Eye Blind.

I'm with the plan in place. Your "plan" is cut and run? Which civil war do you refer to? Are you refering to the civil war conjured up by you libs and the MSM for political gain? You guys don't have any plan for anything. Oh, your plan is for peace! Nitwit, peace is not free. Granted it was given to you, but it was by the sacrifice of non cut and runners! Your plan is the same as the jihadists. You are their fuel. Have you not read OBL et al? Your plan is the same as his, that is what he preaches.

Get a clue.

SEW,

i'm sorry I dont understand "i have no points to make so ill move-on with non-sequitors" , instead I work on facts and policy...so what EXACTLY is Bush's plan, can you lay out a few bullet points aside from keep bombing everything and hope they give-up?

Posted by: Third Eye Open [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 4, 2006 07:59 PM

SEW,

Your assumption that all our freedoms and rights were won with a gun, thats the outlook of a war-monger, instead how about reading some of the less exciting history, and see that the IDEAS that our forefathers were more powerful than the ones the king presented, thats why we won, I am asserting you can't make any IDEAS stick with the Iraqis, otherwise they wouldn't be rising up against us and engaging in sectarian civil war.

"Iraq is embroiled in a “low-level civil war” that is forcing the United States to react to events on the ground rather than shape them, according to a former U.S. military adviser who spent two years there studying the insurgency."

http://www.airforcetimes.com/story.php?f=1-292925-1764639.php

so again, I ask you, when YOUR own people in the military are calling it a civil-war that we are reacting to, not controlling, where has Bush's plan gone flawlessly?

"keep bombing everything and hope they give up"

Like I stated, get a clue.

Posted by: SEW at June 4, 2006 08:10 PM

SEW,

I thought i'd leave another gift for you, just incase you wanted to try and sound intelligent again.

Hashim agreed. "Iraq is in the midst of civil war, insurgency, organized crime and massive state failure," he said. "The U.S. military isn't shaping events. It's reacting to them." U.S. forces are "just one more militia" among many. He added, "We have a civil war right now. A low level civil war. Anybody who says different" has no idea of the reality in Iraq.

SEW, You're right.

Third Eye Open,

If the US is the problem as you claim, then why are the Iraqis killing each other in sectarian violence? Are Shiite Muslims "invaders" or something?

I can just see it now, some Islamic terrorist says, "I hate the US for invading Iraq! I think I'll go kill some Iraqi Muslims! That'll show the Americans!"

huh?!?

Posted by: Freedom1 [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 4, 2006 09:32 PM

Youre making points up again as you go along, and are you hoping someone confuses what you THINK I say with what I DO actually say?

The iraqis don't much like one another, they werent even a country until about a hundred years ago, then we force them together, what do you THINK is gonna happen. Do you advocate we need to invade all countries where ethnic groups arent getting along...if thats so, then maybe we should have been invaded during the civil war we had.

I still want you guys to explain to me what EXACTLY the talking points of Rummy's and Bush's war plan is, I can't figure it out, and apparently most of his generals can't either..."just blow more stuff up guys, im sure we will win if there is noone left in the country when we are done!"

Gee hate to get in the middle of such a delightful chat, but why not move on to something more important?

The environment continues to be the the major challenge we face as a race. An Inconvinient Truth outperformed all other movies per theaters in the country. While you boys are playing war, we (the environmental movement) have your backs. We may not like you but we want you to be able to breathe clean air! (including of course Mr. keefer) We need him to monitor his toll booth as the hydrogen powered cars roll by.

"F.B.I. to the Special forces infiltrating terror cells"

BTW Kudo's to our Canadian friends for the capture of terrorists recently. All you military boys on this site better stop pissing our northern neighbors off. Seems like they have our backs!

Bear,

Don't confuse supporting our troops with being diametrically opposed to their leg-pissing civilian leaders.

The military is a tool for politicians, just as you don't blame the gun for killing the person, you blame the person with their hand on the trigger. If we weren't such a bunch of arm-chair general pussies in this country, we would have the guts to hang our despots like Italy did with Mussolini. You and your ilk should go back to counting your money, and stop getting your rocks off by vicariously playing GI Joe while sucking down pringles in your underwear.

OOOHRAH!

Wow isn't this nice, the military reached out and compensated the families for the dead civilians at haditha.

They paid a whopping $2500.00 for each life extinguished. Very generous.

extra-average says:
"I'm close to convinced that the main goal of Christian conservatives is to officially turn America into an Christian theocracy"

This ridiculous claim surfaces every now and then, evidently based on the belief that Christianity is just one huge monolithic identity. A "Christian theocracy"? Which religion? I believe the last count I heard of religions based on the belief that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and sent to sacrifice his life to redeem us (Christians) was in the range of 1600.

So WHICH Christian religion will head this 'theocracy'? As they can't agree with each other on points they feel vital to their very salvation, how exactly do you think they are going to work together to rule the country?

You people have got to stop being so damned GULLIBLE!! All Ranty Rhodes or one of her ilk has to do is wave something shiny at you, such as a supposed Christian theocracy or a military rule imposed by Bush to take over the country or some other goofy thing they pull out of their....nether regions....and you all just snap at the bait and go off worrying about whatever it was you bit on.

Oh, and what about the Christian liberals, extra-average? You know, all those Southern Baptist churches the Democrats routinely CAMPAIGN in, evidently setting aside their beloved canard of "separation of church and state" long enough to hustle votes. That's another thing you guys have swallowed whole---the idea that all religious people are somehow melded into the "Religious Right".

Just think axis that money was put there to save you, and think of it this way if we would'nt have compensated what might have happened?

You see axis you've got to show a little compassion to those families, a little kindness!!

Just think if you were one of those families and your country did'nt have any money to pay for your losses, so as to the renewing your life back to normal?

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!

The Terrorists attacked, We fought back, and we compensated for the truly good christian people in that country!!

Axis, Do you have ANY heart at all,ANY? Why are you com
