Right on Mark. Thanks for posting. I was just thinking today as I watched my wife care and nurture my child with such a great degree of unconditional love that mothers are supposed to be the nurturers, life givers, and protectors of children. How warped our society is right now that women are told that abortion is "liberating." How far we have drifted (as a result of the radical feminist mvt of the 60s and the secular anti-theistic-nhilism that accompanied the mvt- and still does) that the "care givers" (women) take part in a barbaric act of dismembering and discarding their own children. Only the devil himslef could have deceived women into believing that such an act of pure evil would be considered "liberating." And did I forget to mention that it is men mostly that coerce women into having the abortion as a form of "birth control?"

One of the fastest ways to get a liberal frothing at the mouth is to turn the "Bush-Hitler" meme back on them by pointing out the vast differences between soft-spoken, rational, (overly) compassionate Bush and the podium-pounding, spittle-flying, screeching, shrieking, emotion-appealing gurus of the Left. There is the fact that the Left needs, and uses, a propaganda machine that would make Goebbels blush at its brazenness (Air America) and that the Left will shout down anyone they can't silence.
But nowhere is the comparison to Hitler more obvious than the Left's plan of eugenics---the purification of the race by the elimination of those who do not, according to them, deserve to live.
They started with inconvenient pregnancies, mislabeling unborn human beings as "mere blobs of tissue" and sucking them out and flushing them away as if they had no humanity, no right to live. While reasons were given that the Left, at least, thought sounded noble, the fact is that nearly every one of the millions of lives thrown away were lost merely because they were inconvenient.
They went on to kill people like Terri Schiavo, whose only "crime" deserving of death was that she was severely disabled. Rather than even submit to investigation to find out if she was really aware of her surroundings, the Left demanded her death, announcing that her particular type of life had no meaning.
It was but a short step to murdering babies who were not perfect. We know that abortions have taken place because the offending child was the "wrong" gender and now we know they are also being slaughtered because they are somehow not pleasing to the eye.
So remember this the next time some wild-eyed liberal starts spouting the Bush-Hitler garbage. See if you can find one conservative to match the screaming, fist-waving, cawing of a Dean or a Hillary, calling people to follow them because of their appeal to the basest of emotions. See if you can find a conservative spokesman who can even begin to approach the demagoguery of Air America or Bill Maher. See if you can find a conservative call to eliminate those who do not pass some kind of litmus test of convenience or perfection. And then laugh in their faces for being the goose-stepping hypocrites they are.

This is barbarism; this is the sort of things ancient heathens used to do - kill a child who was judge unfit by the elders of the tribe. We are supposed to be advancing, right?
-- It is much deeper than that. You like to look at the surface and pretend thats all that there is. You always fail to look deeper, which is considering what kind of quality of life a seriously handicapped or deformed baby is going to have if carried to term. Is it going to be able to be independant, go to school, have friends, get a job, have a career, have a wife or is it going to be dependant on someone else to care for it for its entire life.?
If the latter, doesn't that take away about 90% of the benefits of life?
How about the mother, it she going to be able to afford the extra costs to care for a handicapped child? How will they support the child if they need to constantly care for it? Who will care for it when it becomes an adult and the parents can no longer care for it.?
These are all issues that parents consider upon learning that their unborn child will have a serious handicap, yet you only consider the surface of the issue (life vs death), which is why most people disagree with your views, they are poorly thought out.

Almiranta,
Exactly - but the Schaivo issue, for me, was even more horrific than that...it wasn't just pulling the tube, it was the order that no attempt be made to provide her with food and water the normal way be made...she was to be left to die of thirst right in front of us, with no effort to succor her being made.
The Culture of Death gets more disgusting every year.

Mark,
I am the father of a beautiful 21 tear old daughter who was born with club feet. Most people have no idea what this is. When my daughter was born her feet turned in toward one another and up toward her little butt. Our doctor wasn’t too concerned at her birth and told us that this can be corrected and not to worry, so we didn’t. She left the hospital in casts to try and turn her feet; she also used corrective shoes to straighten her feet. All these things helped a lot, her feet looked good, she was a normal little girl crawling around and starting to walk, but when she began to walk regularly her feet began to turn up a little and she started to walk on the sides of her feet. Our doctor told us when she was born that she may end up having surgery and at 2 ˝ the decision was made to have her feet surgically corrected.
It was recommended to us to take her to Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis where we meet a doctor Thomas Kling, a man I will never forget. Dr. Kling operated on her, which took several hours, and afterward he informed us of the surgery’s success. A few days of recovery later we brought her home with corrected feet.
Today she’s a student at Illinois State University where she’ll be a senior next year. She is a very active young lady, she was a cheerleader in High School and you would never know it to look at her that she ever had any problems with her feet.
21 years ago we didn’t have the ultrasound technology we have today, to detect any problems such as club foot, but it wouldn’t have made any difference.
Mark, you know as I do that children are a gift, to me they are a gift from God. Our daughters mother and I never considered anything other than doing what ever was required from us to help our little girl. This conviction is so lacking in today’s society.
The years of great joy we’ve had, and continue to have with our daughter is hard to explain to those that don’t know parenthood and don’t understand the responsibilities that go hand in hand with it, but it is the blessing which we as humans have been given. This is why it is just so unimaginable to me how the barbaric procedure of abortion can be reconciled and justified in some peoples mind.
If people had the same compassion for an unborn child as they’ve shown for the misfortune of the race horse Barbaro, we wouldn’t have many abortions in this country these days.
Mark, enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend, thank you for your thoughts you share with us on this blog, and say a prayer with me for the souls of the aborted. Right now I’m going to go hug my daughter.

But nowhere is the comparison to Hitler more obvious than the Left's plan of eugenics---the purification of the race by the elimination of those who do not, according to them, deserve to live.
-- Sounds good, except your facts are totallt wong. Hitler was a conservative and eugenics is a conservative idea, not a liberal one. Hitler got the idea from existing US, European and Canadian programs, where he added his "special touches."
There was a eugenics program here in Canada in the 1920's through to the 40's where retarded, handicapped or people in Psych wards were sterilized. This was done under Conservative governance. It was also present in the US in the late '20's and thirties, also done under conservative governance, specifically Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover, both Republican conservatives.
They went on to kill people like Terri Schiavo, whose only "crime" deserving of death was that she was severely disabled.
-- Conveniently, you neglected to mention the part where her autopsy showed that she was indeed completely brain dead and had zero chance of recovery. This is when all you kooks shut up and went away remember?
t was but a short step to murdering babies who were not perfect. We know that abortions have taken place because the offending child was the "wrong" gender and now we know they are also being slaughtered because they are somehow not pleasing to the eye.
-- Again, these are conservative ideals, wishing to preserve a healthy genepool.

*Scratches his head*
Umm.. Axis, what makes Eugenics a conservative issue? Our deffinitions of conservative and liberal ideas have shifted over the decades and current conservatives are Anti-Abortion (by and large) and therefore against one of the major tools of Eugenics. How does that make it a currently conservative issue?
Reguardless of what label you stick on it or dislike sticking on it Eugenics is an issue we have to address. Especially as we make progress with Geneics, Man/Machine interfaces, and Wet Ware. While most of these things are nothing more than fanciful science fiction (Which I admit I write) the technology that will eventually make it happen and the moral deliemas that it'll raise are fast approaching. So the question becomes what do you think about Eugenics?
1. Is it okay to "modify" a fetus while it's still in the womb to remove a future birth defect?
2. Is it okay to destroy a fetus because it shows signs of birth defects? If it's okay is there a point at which it's not okay? Why there?
3. Is it okay to remove sperm and eggs and combine them outside of the body under controlled situations to get the "best" results?
4. Is this okay for animals but not for people?
5. Is it okay to clone "spare parts" that are never complete bodies? How about entire bodies that can be later harvested for parts?
6. Are "Food Vats" the cure for world hunger or an abomination? (Food vats are the idea of growing just the meat of animals in vats at high rates so you still get real animal meat just not from living animals.)
There are many other questions that arrise as we go down this road that deserve answers and not just emotional posturing and name calling.

Oh, and to answer my own questions:
[blockquote]
1. Is it okay to "modify" a fetus while it's still in the womb to remove a future birth defect?[/blockquote]
I think yes. While I fully understand this is "Playing god" I'm one of those crazy guys who thinks God gave us this ability so we can improve ourselves. Self-improvement is one of our greatest gifts.
[blockquote]2. Is it okay to destroy a fetus because it shows signs of birth defects? If it's okay is there a point at which it's not okay? Why there?[/blockquote]
I don't think it's okay. Mainly because where there's life there's hope.
[blockquote]
3. Is it okay to remove sperm and eggs and combine them outside of the body under controlled situations to get the "best" results? [/blockquote]
I'm still undecided on this because of the amount of extra fertilized eggs we produce. If we actually used only one egg and one sperm and that was it, then maybe. Otherwise just on the surface of it I think it's too wasteful.
[blockquote]
4. Is this okay for animals but not for people?
[/blockquote]
I have a feeling that most things we come up with genetically will only be for animals because of the moral deliemas of performing them on humans.
[blockquote]5. Is it okay to clone "spare parts" that are never complete bodies? How about entire bodies that can be later harvested for parts? [/blockquote]
If we can come up with a "quick grow" method of growing replacement limbs and what not that's fine. (Need a new heart? Then grow your own. :) ) But I don't think we should be growing entirely new bodies. Too much of a chance that we'd be killing people just for their parts.
[blockquote]
6. Are "Food Vats" the cure for world hunger or an abomination? (Food vats are the idea of growing just the meat of animals in vats at high rates so you still get real animal meat just not from living animals.)
[/blockquote]
I'm actually all for this idea. If we can grow meats just like we grow vegitables it'd revolutionize food production and even help out all the animal lovers out there. Though I figure real milk will taste better than manufactured milk. ;)

Abortion is an abomination and so is the death penalty and war. The other issue here is: who owns your body, you or the state? Small government people or conservatives should come out on the side of each person owning their own body. That would mean that suicide laws should be junked along with every other law except the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule. Peace
Posted by: steve at May 28, 2006 07:49 PM
How does that make it a currently conservative issue?
-- I didn't say that, did I. I said it was a conservative idea. There is lots of things that were once conservative ideas or liberal ones that are now no longer practiced. Since that time, many of you have found GOD and so it was conveniently forgotten about.
-- These are all things that really transcend the abortion debate. Science is progressing and soon it may indeed be able to repair birth defects or even change the gender of a child early on, and much more.
Let's get serious here. This is nothing more than just another angle on the abortion debate. The author cleverly takes an ideal of eugenics, which was a conservative ideal, but one that is now viewed by most in disgust or contempt and he tries to piggyback that digust onto the abortion debate.
Its nothing more than a pathetic attempt to get your foot into the door and push your pro-life views on the mainstream by trying to shame them into using outdated conservative ideals.

Speaking of abortions, heres something of interest to you, you will also note that abortion numbers INCREASED under Regan and also under HW Bush. They also DECREASED under clinton.
Isn't that funny how whenever conservatives get in government, abortion rates spike and they tend to many times lower under democratic rule.
Also interesting to note that teenage pregnancies also spiked under Regan and HW bush, lowering under Clinton as Sex Ed classes were used to educate teens.
-------------------
Some US states are passing laws requiring parental consent before teenage women under the age of 18 can have an abortion; this has resulted in a significant rise of later abortions among young women, causing greater risk of complications. Some teens, fearing their parents' reactions, have sought illegal abortions; deaths have occurred.
A 2004 study by the Fuller Theological Seminary -- a leading Evangelical Christian divinity school -- showed that a decade long decline in abortion rates in the U.S. during President Clinton's administration has reversed after he left office.
Glen Stassen, the Lewis B. Smedes Professor of Christian Ethics found that, under President Bush, rising unemployment and soaring healthcare costs have increased the abortion rate. He noted that "economic policy and abortion are not separate issues. They form one moral imperative." Stassen analyzed data from Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, the Guttmacher Institute, and annual reports by individual state governments. He found that abortion rates declined 17.4% during the 1990s and reached a 24-year low when President Bush took office.

soft-spoken, rational, (overly) compassionate Bush
".....And If Al-Qaeda comes in here and blows you guys up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place is off-limist to you, except San Fransico. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead."
-Bill O'Reilly
"You could abort every black baby in this country and your crime rate would go down."
-Bill Bennett
"She[Cyntheia McKinney]looks like a ghetto slut............she looks like Tina turner peeing on an electric fence...................she looks like a shih tzu!"
-Neal Boortz
Compassionate conservatism my black ass.
They went on to kill people like Terri Schivo
You are aware that half of Terri's brain was liquified and she was blind on top of it all. Hell, even the doctors said that Terri was beyond hope, but is was YOUR ilk that kept that media freak show running for over a week. And you have the nerve to claim that we wanted her dead?! YOU SHAMELESS FREAKS USED HER FOR AIRTIME, FOR CHRIST SAKE!!!
See if you can find one conservative to match the screaming, fist-waving cawing of a Dean or a Hiliary

I'm really simple like that in that, no changing of subject, no redirection, just the topic at hand. Is it okay to kill a baby if it looks like it'll be born with clubbed feet, no legs, or "not normal?" That's it.

Gozer, morally, I suppose from a Christian standpoint, it is wrong and a sin, however people commit sins everyday. In fact, often choices need to be made that weight a sin against another sin and one needs to choose the lesser of two evils.
This is why is goes so much deeper than right or wrong.
"Thou shall not kill" , notice it does not say "Thou shall not kill some people" or "Thou shall not kill humans" . So morally speaking, it is a sin to send soldiers to kill an enemy, morally speaking it is a sin to kill an animal so you can eat it.
People kill and commit sins everyday, been that way since day 1, it is in our nature.

teenage liberal,if you read this blog very often you will remember that I have often listed Michael Savage as a demeagogue, in the vein of Ranty Rhodes. He's much smarter and much less of a liar, but he still depends on appealing to the lowest and basest elements of humanity to make his points, just like she does.
And, even more to the point, Michael Savage is not a leader of the Republican Party. He is not running for President. No, he is an true fringe element. But to you, your screaming spittle-spraying brayers of hatred and distrust ARE your best and brightest, the best you have to offer.
But no one can say, with a straight face, that my post "borders on complete hypocrisy and total delusion.." Because it is completely factual.
While the Right hss its demagogues, they are thin on the ground and recognized as such. Your lefty demagogues are your leaders and the prime source of what you then regurgitate as "fact",
Calling Hitler a "conservative" is just plain silly. His was the Nationalist Socialist Party. One of you once actually claimed the party "just happened to contain the word Socialist"---as if it slipped in without anyone noticing, and somehow never got taken out. You all hate to be reminded of that, and like to cling to the old fallacy that communcism and fascism are on the opposite ends of the spectrum, but in fact fascism is just to the left of communism. Neither respects the right of all men to rule themselves. Neither respects the rights of property. Neither of them respects the right to individual life.
If any of you puppets would actually check out what you are told, instead of just regurgitating it like good little Airheads, you would realizet that your high priests of liberalsim lied to you (yes...LIED!!!) about the results of Terri Schiavo's autopsy. In fact, the rear part of her brain, the part that registers emotion, was nearly intact. The only part severely damaged was the part that controls motor function. Oh, didn't Ranty tell you that? That while the poor woman could not communicate, she could feel the agony of being starved to death? Shameless freaks? What a definition of people who merely tried to apply basic civil rights----a hearing based on new evidence---to someone you on the Left wanted dead because she creeped you out?
Or was it her blindness that made her life worthless? You mentioned it---it must have played a role in your determination that she was not deserving of a day in court. A tree frog, or a very old tree, gets more respect and legal protection thant his woman got, and why? Because she couldn't see or talk? Next it will be how WELL someone sees, or talks.
One of the great hypocrisies of the Left was that of claiming that the reduced size of Schiavo's brain was reason to kill her---when in fact it was reduced by the very fact of dehydrating her to death.
And how silly, how ridiculously insane, to quote other people to make a point about Bush. I said I thought he was overly compassionate. That is the basis for his stance on immigration---his compassion for the suffering he has seen due to the abject poverty of so many in Mexico. So don't quote others, much less out of contexz, as you did Bill Bennett.
It is amazing how some facts about the Cult of Death gets the wackos out, scurrying around like roaches when the light is shined on them. It is proof that abortion and death on demand are staples of the radical left, and it is one of the things that will continue to drive the moderate, rational, Democrats away from the party that has been hijacked by the loonies and the goofballs.
None of the hysterical opposition to my post has been based on fact. I actually looked up the Schiavo autopsy, rather than swallowing the leftist cant that it proved she was completely brain dead. I have actually studied Hitler and the nazi movement. I actually know what I am talking about, instead of just bowing to the Ranty Rhodes of the left and then spouting what I have been programmed to spout.
Why not ask Geo's daughter how she feels about being alive, after the pain of her surgeries? Ask her, and Geo, and Mrs. Geo, and all those who know and love her.
Oh, but that would mean stepping down from your self-appointed position of one who gets to pass judgment on others, on the quality of their lives, on their WORTH and their VALUE and their right to simply live.
Who gets to make those judgments about you? Remember, you are one car wreck or diving accident or drug reaction or stroke from being the next Terri Schiavo, an aware brain trapped in an unresponsive body, knowing that you are not considered worthy of life, feeling the pain of starvation and dedydration and the emotion of being sentenced to death for being...inconvenient.

"Compassionate Conservatism". Seems I have heard that before. Is that the same compassionate conservatism that Bush brought to Iraq, dropping 6000 bombs on civilian cities, killing 40-50 000 innocent iraqis in the first couple week, more than double the amount that Saddam killed?
Or is it the same compassionate conservatism that Regan brought to Iraq, supplying Saddam with all the biological weapons that he would later use against his own people?
Nothing will ever replace the life of one who has been thrown away!!!
-- Correct. Nothing will replace the all the life destroyed in the Iraq war either, something you have no problem with. The vast majority of which was completely innocent and whose only crimes were being born in a country whose president you opposed.
Nothing will replace the life that you end when you execute a prisoner, another thing you have no problem with. This is why your ideals is such a fraud. If you were truly "Pro-life", then you would treat all life as sacred, you would be against sending soldiers to war unless absolutely having no other choice. You would be against executions. But you are not, instead you are hypocrites of the worst kind.
These fraudlent ideals serve no other purpose than to give you a false sense of morality. You commit sins everyday, but figure if you stop one from being committed, that puts you on the moral high ground and will save you.

Calling Hitler a "conservative" is just plain silly. His was the Nationalist Socialist Party. You all hate to be reminded of that, and like to cling to the old fallacy that communcism and fascism are on the opposite ends of the spectrum, but in fact fascism is just to the left of communism.
-- Hitler was a conservative. He may have begun as a socialist, but at the end of the day, he had become a conservative and was also a devout christian until the day he died. Socialism is a centralized government that controls the economy thru regulation and government controlled monopolies. Take that many notches to the right and you have fascism, which at the end of the day, Hitler had transfomed germany into. Take it further and you have communism.
Teenage liberal was correct, your post was NOT factual and was somewhat delusional, trying to equate eugenics with liberalism, when they are clearly conservative ideals and it was conservatives that put it into practice. You find this an embarassing black mark on your record now, so you try and pass that little embarassing part of your heritage onto the liberals.
your high priests of liberalsim lied to you (yes...LIED!!!) about the results of Terri Schiavo's autopsy. In fact, the rear part of her brain, the part that registers emotion, was nearly intact. The only part severely damaged was the part that controls motor function.
I see. Too bad they didn't lie. What they did say is that her brain was damaged to the point where there was zero chance at recovery of any kind. You really believe that your brain can be partially liquified and dead and the other parts completely fine and fully operational? Ther was no evidence that that part of her brain was even functional, only that maybe is was not damaged.
I don't know about you, but if it was a choice between living in a near or complete vegetative state, hooked up to artifical machines to keep me alive, I wouldn't want to continue like that either. Don't forget that it was Terry's wish not to be left in a vegetative state hooked up to machines.
But heres a question, that I will borrow some of Jeremiahs faith for. Take Terry off the artificial machines and she dies. Leave her on and she lives. So, if it was God's will to allow her to live, then obviously, he would have arranged it so that she could live without the need for artifical machines to keep her alive. By keeping her alive you were violating God's will.
It is amazing how some facts about the Cult of Death gets the wackos out, scurrying around like roaches when the light is shined on them. It is proof that abortion and death on demand are staples of the radical left,
-- The left support choice, not forced abortions. Funny how you believe that a fetus has more rights and entitlements than the mother. Just as many conservatives have abortions then do liberals, just not the radical evangelicals. Fortunately you are in the minority of 15-20% of America but believe that you have the right to force your views on the other 80%

*Shakes head and sighs*
Okay maybe I'm feeding trolls but I will try once again. Please just answer the question axis, I know you can do that since you can string words together into sentences just fine.
I asked if YOU thought it was okay to kill a baby that might have clubbed feet or missing a leg or otherwise "not normal." It's a simple question that doesn't require bringing in regligion, attacking someone else's beliefs, or making wild assumtions. (Such as assuming I'm Christian, or pro death penalty, or heck even a Republican!)
So please, answer my simple question since again it is the POINT of this post. Reguardless of whether it's conservative or liberal, Republican or Democrat, Nazi or Naive; the simple question do you think it's wrong to kill a baby because it's not "normal."

I asked if YOU thought it was okay to kill a baby that might have clubbed feet or missing a leg or otherwise "not normal."
-- A baby, no. An undeveloped fetus is signifigantly different than a baby. As such I do not agree with late term abortion, however the choice for early term abortion should be kept open.
The way I see it, you on the far right are never going to get everything you want. In fact, some of what you want are self-defeating, such as wanting to ban abortions and also ban contraception, which would prevent unwanted pregnancy and hence abortions. Or banning Sex-Education which also reduces pregnancy and teenage sex.
Regan dropped sex ed and there was an explosion in teen pregnancy and abortions as they were uneducated about it and were not learning it at home. Humans are a product of their education and their upbringing. Stop a child from learning to read, speak or write and he will go through life like that until taught to read, speak and write. Stop a child from learning about sex and what can happen if you are not careful and nature instead takes its course and you end up with a knocked up daughter, despite your church teachings.
So, rather than taking the "All or Nothing" approach, why not set aside your morality a bit to the left and work to meet halfway.
A) Keep the door to abortions open, but require counselling and seeking alternatives such as adoption + a waiting or cooling off period.
B) Make Sex Education mandatory, thus better educating people about sex, which reduces teen sex and pregnancies.
C) Promote contraception use which not only prevents pregnancy before it becomes a life form, but also many STD's as well.
Its impossible to have it all your way, its self defeating and even if you did outlaw it, people would seek illegal abortions which have a high risk and all you would be doing is criminalizing people that simply did not wish a child.
Its ugly but its a fact of life.

AXIS,
I have some serious issue's with your presumption that we sin everyday!!!
If you proclaim yourself to be a christian(of which I doubt very seriously)and sin everyday then are you not a "HYPOCRITE",some teach it is OK to sin everyday, but the bible strictly prohibits sin, because IF WE SIN THEN WE KNOWINGLY and WILFULLY SIN(don't give me this sin on accident garbage) inspite of the fact that we know it is against God's rules.
"To knoweth to do good and doeth it not to him it is sin"
Hebrews 10:26,27 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
But a certain fearful looking for of judgement and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries".
Hebrews10:28 "He that despised Moses law died without mercy under two or three witnesses."
30
"vengeance is mine sayeth the lord."
You see axis there is no reason on earth AND/OR excuse for you to sin.
and you have no business TELLING ME about my sin, until you examine YOUR OWN fraud!!!
Funny how it's ok for people to call themelves christian's and then say that it's ok for them to sin every day = HYPOCRITE = lYER = SORRY SAPSUCKER=LOW DOWN DIRTY ROTTEN SCUM!!!
axis, you are committing a TRAITOROUS act against God,YOUR CREATOR!!!By telling him you can sin everday!!!
Funny how some can call themselves christians and then turn right around and put other true heartfelt christians like George bush down, and throw dirt on them.
Which also makes you a traitor to the commander in chief the one who saved your SORRY NECK!!!

Thank you, was that so hard?
Now are the rest of your statments directed toward me specifically? Because if so you are very poorly informed.
I have stated repeatedly when the Abortion issue comes up that I'm pro controception, education, and basically everything you listed. Hell did I ever say I was anti-Abortion? So do try to keep the generalities down? I haven't called you anything or attacked anything you might or might not stand for now have I? (Again how do you figure I'm one of the "Far Right?" Hell I could be on your side! [And I probably am in places])
See, this is my biggest problem with the entire abortion "Debate." Folks don't listen to one another because this is such an emotional issue. More often then not folks attack the messenger and not the message.

"nazi" is a nickname.
In April, 1920, Hitler advocated that the party should change its name to the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP).
Keyword: "Socialist"
As in LEFT.
Although Hitler hated Communism, what we are talking about then is how far left of center a communist is versus a socialist. But both are left of center. And the NSDAP, Hitler's Nazi party, and Hitler himself were definitely NOT to the Right side where we place today's US Conservatives.
Given that, I heartily recommend ignoring anything else "axis" might have to say unless and until the person can show knowledge of TRUE history. This should be junior high stuff.

You state that Hitler was a devout Christian. This does not seem likely. "Christianity is an invention of sick brains." - Adolf Hitler, December 13, 1941. "So its not opportune to hurl ourselves into a struggle witht he churches. The best thing is to let Christianity die a naturaul death." - Adolf Hitler, October 14, 1941. Hitler worked to destroy Christianity in Germany and beyond. Also his attemptiong to exterminate the Jews does not square with Christianity. His burning desire to wipe out all Jews and seeking to destroy Christianity is simillar to today's Islamic Extremists. From Hitler's words and deeds he could not have been a christian.

Safe, legal and as rare as humanly possible.
Fund research into reversible sterilization and you permanently fix the problem without permanently "fixing" people.
This is the ultimate "choice".
If you want to eliminate the "pound of cure" that is abortion, fund the "ounce of prevention."
Surprisingly, the Bible doesn't have a problem with abortion:
The Book of Hosea says:
9:14 Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
"O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts."
9:15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
9:16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
Shouldn't God protect the fruit of their womb? Apparently not.
Numbers 5:27 describes a priest causing the fetus of an unfaithful wife to abort. Shouldn't God punish the man and woman, and protect the fetus? Apparently not.
I am open to explanations.

Gozer, no the rest were directed at some of the other wingnuts here.
Jeremiah, my fire and brimstone evangelical buddy,
We are all sinners, people sin everyday, in some way or another.
If you honestly believe that you live you life without commiting any sins, then you are either delusional or you have selected certain proverbs from the good book while overlooking others.
People kill, murder, use the lords name in vain, they steal, they commit adultry, they lie and many, many more.
Is it murder to LIE America into a war that results in 2500 american lives lost?
Is it murder to drop 6000 bombs on Bagdad, killing 40-50000 innocent Iraqi civilians there?
Is it adultry for the GOP congressman including Duke Cunningham to hire prostitutes? Some of them were gay male prostututes. Is that a sin, a man lying down with another man?
Is it stealing to arrange no bid contracts for Halliburton and then overcharge the american people dozens of times? How about the $9 billion that just up and walked away and no one knows where it went?
Is it a lie for bush to address the american people and tell them that all wiretaps need a warrant then them later we find out that he is not getting warrants and just doing it?
Is it coveting your neighbors house to rig elections with crooked voting machines and keep blacks from voting in many districts?
My goodness Jeremiah, you have chosen to align yourself with some of the worst sinners around, so how are we to belive that you don't sin yourself. And those are just the 10 commandments. Loots of other sins in the good book that I bet I can find those of who you support committing.
Posted by: axis at May 29, 2006 01:54 AM
The answer to this riddle is simple: fund a "Perfect Baby" initiative where correctable defects are paid for by all generous and compassionate American taxpayers. This would eliminate the panic factor of "I work for minimum wage with no insurance... what am I going to do?" and become simply "My baby will be born with every available ounce of help an intelligent and empathetic society can bestow."
This is a VERY generous offer from me, as I had my two babies the old fashioned way - I rolled the dice and got lucky with two perfect children.
But no one "chooses" to conceive an imperfect child. It is no one's fault. A truly great society would recognize this and pool it's resources for the greater good. A petty society would just complain about the costs.
What's it gonna be?

Geo,
You can never tell what the future will bring -
When my elder brother was determined to be autistic, the experts advised my parents to put him in an institution as they were certain he'd never talk or walk or function in society. Here in 2006, I'd bet the experts would urge an abortion...
Well, the brother did manage to walk and talk, even if not quite as well as most people...but he also managed to graduate from high school, owns his own home (free and clear), has money in the bank and works for a living.
I'll never understand these pro-abortion savages...people who think that life is a burden! For crying out loud, if anyone really believes that, then there is an obvious course open to you; but please don't advocate killing others because you don't like life.

Mark, so you hold to the idea that one must attend church in order to be a christian? If thats the case, then there are hundreds of millions of fewer christians in the US than you thought.
There are many sources, but here is some reading for you:
Hitler Religious Belief
Hitler Religious Speeches
Beliefs of the SS
Many of those that dispute his faith do so out of a sense of self morality as they refust to believe that someone that could commit such evil simply could be follow christianity
I might remind you there there are some pretty wacked out chruches there Mark, like that Baptist one that pickets fallen soldiers and the one that also picketed matthew shepherds funeral and put together hate propaganda. These people consider themselves christians too, but they are wacked out fundamentalists.

Axis,
Ah, so you can be a devout Christian without, well, doing any Christian devotions? Don't you realise just how stupid that sounds?
I can't help you if you belive the ignorant ramblings in those links...if you can't see that even while Hitler said "Christian" he actually preached an anti-Christ, then there's not much I can do for you. Anyone with even a cursory familiarity with Christianity can instantly see that what Hitler preached was a perversion of all that is good and decent, most especially in his perversion of the Christ of the Bible in to some sort of early anti-Semitic monster. I can only presume that your knowledge of Christianity comes from something along the lines of a television documentary - you can't in any way be familiar with Christian beliefs and think that Hitler was a Christian.
He was, Axis, the leader of the National Socialist German Worker's Party - he banned the Christian Democratic Party, as well as dissolved Catholic Action. He preached a message of race hatred entirely at odds with the Christian ideal of a universal brotherhood of mankind...and he had already laid his plans for the extermination of Christianity had he won the Second World War.
Get off this blog if you're going to keep up with such ignorant, stupid statements...there's a place for you over at Democratic Underground. I'm exceptionally tolerant of diverse views, but your last entry is the last time you'll insult Christianity on this blog.

I wasn't aware that a $20,000 a year wage earning mother had free cleft pallet or club foot surgery for her child as an option. A friend of mine has a daughter with an invasive skin disease, present at birth, that collapsed her nose into her face at birth. She is now in grammar school, after more than a dozen devastatingly expensive surgeries from which my friend will never recover.
How is this irrelevant? Is not the main point fo your post condemning abortion as genetic manipulation? Is not my post one overly simplified solution?
Posted by: congressive at May 29, 2006 03:08 AM

Nonsense. Tell your friend to look a little deeper into things and she'll find that she can get all sorts of relief from those bills...but I wasn't even referring to that: I'm talking about a woman who just cross the border illegally from Mexico who winds up giving birth to a cleft-palate baby here in the US. It will be taken care of. Period.

Gozer, in answer to question #5, I think cloning "spare parts" is wonderous.

Axis, These bladders were cloned from the patients' own cells. No one died. From the above link-
"Therapeutic cloning, on the other hand, is advancing at a more rapid rate, says Edwards. Already, we've grown skin and bone tissue from patients' own cells and transplanted them successfully.
Between 1999 and 2001, Anthony Atala, at that time a team leader at the Children's Hospital in Boston, replaced diseased bladders of seven young people with bladder tissue grown from their own bladder and muscle cells. Thus, the team cloned the first complex organ — a bladder. Self-cloned bladder cells work well because the patient's body should not reject them. So far, the young people have retained the bladders.
Moreover, therapeutic cloning may lead to other wonderful feats — growing a new heart, liver or kidneys to replace a failing organ or regenerate damaged spinal cord tissue."
"These are just the radical fundamentalist Islammics."-Axis
Islam is NOT a "religion of peace". That's a lie.
From the Qu'ran:
"Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them" (Qu'ran 9.5);
"I will inspire terror into the hearts of unbelievers" (Qu'ran 8.12);
"Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them" (Koran 2:191)
"When we decide to destroy a population, we send a definite order to them who have the good things in life and yet sin. So that Allah's word is proven true against them, then we destroy them utterly." (Koran, 17:16-17)

Hi Mark
Thank you for bringing the topic of abortion up again - its worth talking about when ever there is an opportuntiy.
I have debated with Axis before on what it means to be a Christian:
http://www.blogsforbush.com/mt/archives/007155.html
Axis: "JJ, I am not going to get into a theological debate with you. I have defined the meaning of Christianity the way I see it, you have done the same. Lets leave it at that as it will never go anywhere, you can quote scriptures saying one thing and I can do that same that will contradict yours."
'Lets leave it at that' - sorry I can't do that while you continue to call Hitler a Christian.
What made Hitler a Christian?
Did Hitler call himself a Christian? - Yes
Did Hitler think he was a Christian? - Maybe
Did Hitler live his life submitted to what Jesus said? - absolutely not. Being a Christian means that you follow Jesus.
"Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." Galatians 6:7-8
Looks to me like Hitler was trying to mock God.

It has therefore followed with particular sympathy the struggle of freedom-loving Arabs, especially in Palestine, against Jewish interlopers. -- Hitler was a conservative. He may have begun as a socialist, but at the end of the day, he had become a conservative and was also a devout christian until the day he died.
Umm... you better read your history better. Hitler was quite the Socialist, and he died an atheist. Hitler was born Catholic, was an alter-boy/etc, but he abandoned his Catholic faith in college because he thought it wasn't 'intelligent', that only the naive were Christians. It killed tens of thousands of priests and nuns in Poland, and though that is not as horrible as to what he did to the Jews, he is still a horrible tradgedy. He also had a plan to kidnap Pope Pius XII, as Pius XII was defending Jews from the Nazis.
The official name of the Nazis were the National Socialist Party. This was a liberal through and through, and an atheist to boot.

Interesting dialogue except where terms are mis-defined. 1st let me say that Jesus is my Lord and savior and God is greatest. Socialism is an econnomic system. Fascism uses socialism and alows for religion. Pope Benedict XV created Fascism and his "man" Mussolini used it to begin his political party. Communism is Christ. Marx & Lenin were trying to jettison religions "hold" on the "masses" because they felt it was corrupt and unable to keep up with the progress of history. They had as much luck getting Christ out of communism as the capitalists are having getting it out of our republic. Fascist wanted to kill the socialists and the communists. 5 million died in camps. Turns out that if you begin to arrest and kill too many human beings the Jews, the rightous Jews, take exception and for their trouble 6 million of them were killed for "lying" about the "true nature" of Nazism. Most of the Jews that were killed were Ashkenazi, isn't that ironic? European guilt after WWII morphed into the state of Israel. Too bad nobody asked the Palestinians and Arabs, who were living their, if that was OK with them. As for abortion: 2 million babies every year die shortly after birth due to poor pre-natal care. A single-payer universal health care system would prevent most of those deaths. Peace

The Canadian Mounties have spoken again. Good Lord.
I always find their paradigm (not just the mounties, but all liberals). They will go to the mat for the potentially "innocent" guy that might be executed in a death penalty case nearly 100% of the time. Because "we might execute the wrong person who is innocent". When you figure this country executes about 25 people a year I find that an interesting position they take, especially considering these "innocent" people have gone through appeal after appeal after appeal.
Yet we now have nearly 50,000,000 babies dead since Roe v. Wade and they will defend that right to "CHOOSE" until the cows come home. The whole idea of "innocence" is thrown out the door when if there is anything more innocent than a baby, I'd like to know what it is.
Please Canadian Mounties, opine.

Hitler and the Nazi Party were conservative:
This [Enabling] Act [giving Hitler dictatorial power] passed with the support of the corrupt and discredited Huguenbergian German National People's Party (DNVP), a few liberals, and all conservative and centrist deputies in the constitutionally-disabled and effectively rigged Reichstag....Reported as bankrupt in December 1932, the NSDAP or Nazi Party was in fettle financial health by the middle of January because the Rhenish-Westphalian industrial magnates had assumed responsibility for its debts. These financial and industrial leaders had put the Nazi party back into the political arena after a large drop in the pro-Nazi vote in November 1932. In return, they had gotten promises to be paid back as, if and when Hitler came to power. It is reported that "without the formidable assistance of the industrialists the Nazi party would have foundered on the rocks of bankruptcy." (The Nemesis of Power by John Wheeler-Bennett, Macmillan 1953.)
The magnates petitioned President Hindenburg after the November elections seeking the appointment of Hitler as Chancellor. Amongst the 38 signatories of the petition were Hjalmar Schacht, Fritz Thyssen, Alfred Krupp, Siemens AG, Bosch and the heads of Hamburg-Amerika and the North German-Lloyd Shipping Lines. Hitler was assiduous in fulfilling his promises after achieving the chancellorship by eliminating the Communists, abolishing the trade unions, forcing no nationalization of industry and beginning rearmament on a huge scale.
This is from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler's_rise_to_power, but it matches any history of the rise of the Third Reich that I've ever read.

Villanize, demonize, and discredit by alleged and implied association -- another chapter and page from the liberal playbook!
Ever wonder why Axis and other liberals spend so much time and effort defending Hitler and trying to convince others that Hitler was a Christian and a conservative?
First... many Republicans are Conservatives and Christians... many Christians and Conservatives are Republicans.
If Axis can make you and others believe or question -- consciously or subconsciously -- that Hitler was a Christian by "your definition" and that Hitler was a conservative by "your definition",
It follows that:
Republicans and Conservatives and Christians equal Hitler.
If YOU are a Republican and/or a Christian and/or a Conservative.
It follows that:
YOU are Hitler!
Hitler is evil!
YOU are evil!
YOU are not to be trusted or believed!
YOU are discredited... along with YOUR beliefs, opinions, views, and arguments!
JJ,
It's the same as those "short hand" and "code words" that I talked about in a prior post. Axis and liberals use them to quickly discredit opinions and beliefs of others.
It is not just those who have posted comments who Axis hopes to convince either. It is the other readers who may happen to read his comments!

So what's the solution to this issue? I say do the liberal thing and throw money at it, only because the one thing standing between a healthy baby and a fearful misguided abortion is an expensive surgery.
Magic money isn't there. We've tried to find it. Having the surgery to make babies whole again then declaring bankruptcy never was an option to ethical citizens, and now isn't an option for the rest.
If they can spend millions of dollars on druggies, cleaning up their crimes and cleaning out their veins, they SHOULD spend billions on moral, law abiding mothers who come upon unfortunate circumstances through no fault of their own.
What's the answer? Criminalize young women? Jail the guy who knocked her up? Put more doctors in jail? 1 out of every 137 Americans is already in jail. 9 TIMES more than France, who provides a much better-funded safetly net that the U.S. Isn't it cheaper in the long run to prevent desparation than jail 2.2 million people?
I'm just asking. What's the solution?

Remember,
We have two "keefers" posting here. The original and right "keefer", and the other -- the immitator.
Check the spelling...
"keefer" with a small "k" is the keeper.
"Keefer" with a capital "K" is the weeper.

Just because the other keefer doesn't recognize himself as a proper noun and capitilize his name, doesn't make me a fake.

"-- Freedom1, you see to forget that there are a billion muslims out there, including many million in america who want nothing more that to live in peace."
Really? Who told you that? Are you aware that most of the wars raging in the world today involve Muslims?
"I might add that there are just as many if not more warmongering statements in the bible."
Wrong. So wrong. You have absolutely no clue.
"Stop trying to pin the tail on the donkey. Your problem is with a SMALL group of radical muslims, not all muslims."
Folks, the Left actually believes that Islam is a "religion of peace" and that our "problem is with a SMALL group of radical muslims" not with the entire religion of Islam. This is why we get no support in the War on Terror. The Left doesn't understand the magnitude of the situation.

Peace
How does that make it a currently conservative issue?
-- I didn't say that, did I. I said it was a conservative idea. There is lots of things that were once conservative ideas or liberal ones that are now no longer practiced. Since that time, many of you have found GOD and so it was conveniently forgotten about.

Two words: Michael Savage
See if you could find a conservative spokesman who can even begin to approach the demagoguery of Air America and Bill Maher
Again two words: Pat Robertson
Almiranta, has anyone told you that your post borders on complete hypocrisy and total delusion?
Again, ignoring all the labling BS could you answer any of my questions? No matter who proported it, or if abortions raised or lowered on who's watch I would like to know if this is, in your mind a good thing or a bad thing? That's all.
I'm really simple like that in that, no changing of subject, no redirection, just the topic at hand. Is it okay to kill a baby if it looks like it'll be born with clubbed feet, no legs, or "not normal?" That's it.
Folks we are "LOSING" faster than we are "GAINING"!!!
Nothing will ever replace the life of one who has been thrown away!!!
That is why I hope Roe V Wade is overturned unanimously!!!
That's all I have to say.
You are a "PRIME" example of the "CORRUPT" liberal judges and activists who are running the government in the ground these days, and I think it's time someone told you where to go,creep!!!

So, you can't sit there and expect me to believe YOUR BIG PACK OF LIES!!!!!
"-- A baby, no. An undeveloped fetus is signifigantly different than a baby. As such I do not agree with late term abortion, however the choice for early term abortion should be kept open."
This should be junior high stuff.
.
Axis
Axis,
A devout Christian would go to Church, right?
Please provide the number of times Hitler went to Church.
Do you realise what an ignoramous you are at times?
Congressive,
There isn't a single poor woman in the United States who cannot avail herself of first class pre-natal and post-natal care. Your issue is irrelevant to this discussion.
Geo,
You can never tell what the future will bring -
When my elder brother was determined to be autistic, the experts advised my parents to put him in an institution as they were certain he'd never talk or walk or function in society.
Congressive,
Period.
Chris·tian (krschn)
adj.
1. Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
-- One needs not attend church to be a christian Mark, that may be a catholic requirement, however there are many millions of people in the US alone that consider themselves christians and do not attend church regularly, some are also non-demonational.
Machine, I think it's YOU who needs to learn more about TRUE history. History tells us that that the National Socialist German Worker's Party was a tiny RIGHT WING group who happened to gain a foothold in power because of the Global Depression and a failure of democracy in Germany.
B.Poster,
The Islamofacists want to destroy Christianity? I thought their whole goal was to get the U.S. out of their regime?
Put down the kool-aid, dude.
Axis,
Yes - following the teachings of Jesus Christ and if you think that Jesus advocates the slaughter of Jews then you are one ignorant fool...
Teenaged,
Makes me wonder just how bad our education system is these days when I've got two of you here trying to make Hitler of the right...
Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, Lenin - all just various shadings of the same thing. It isn't Hitler on one end and Lenin on the other. When you get right down to it, the furthest right is Monarchy, as liberalism began as a dissent from that, with Nazism, Communism and Fascism just going much further into extremes than liberalism ever did.
Hey Mark,
I'm not trying to make Hitler of the right. He got there by his racist, anti-Semetic policies.
And how does Hitler tie in with abortion?
Mark, abortion may be wrong(and it is)but at the end of the day, IT IS THE CHOICE OF THE FEMALE to detirmine whether she wants the baby or not.
Just voicing my opinion.

-- Not saying that Mark, I am saying that Christianity has been and continues to be perverted in many ways. Just like that wacko Baptist church that is picketing fallen soldiers funerals with signs stating that they are now in hell, the same church that did the same to matthew shepherd funeral.
These wackos also consider themselves christians.
No different is Al Qaeda, following a perverted version of the muslim faith.
History is full of people that took something good and perverted into something evil.
40 million babies have been aborted since Roe v Wade. A holocaust. An ongoing holocaust.
Gozer, in answer to question #5, I think cloning "spare parts" is wonderous. It's already being done. Scientists have cloned bladders for seven patients! Wow! However, cloning entire humans for harvesting is horrifically, evil murder in my opinion.
Teenage, yes, the Islamofacists want to destroy Christianity. They want to destroy all other religions except Islam. Where have you been?
"O Prophet! Make war against the unbelievers [all non-Muslims] and the hypocrites and be merciless against them. Their home is hell, an evil refuge indeed." (Qu'ran, 9:73)
Teenage, yes, the Islamofacists want to destroy Christianity. They want to destroy all other religions except Islam. Where have you been?
-- To be accurate, they want to destroy the infidels that do not follow Islam, not the faith itself. These are just the radical fundamentalist Islammics.
Gozer, in answer to question #5, I think cloning "spare parts" is wonderous.
-- Aah, but many also view these as murder as well, same as those that oppose stem cell research. They would rather end stem cell research which could help countless millions to survive, then to allow the death of something that will never be human or a sentient life form.
Mark, ok this is quite off topic but I found your argument with axis amussing. And I agree with you, people made the same mistake axis seems to have made about einstein too, for years i heard he was a christian (hey he spoke of god and stuff right?), and then i discover he refuted any such rumor by calling religion something for the weak minded.
"Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them" (Qu'ran 9.5);
"I will inspire terror into the hearts of unbelievers" (Qu'ran 8.12);
"Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them" (Koran 2:191)
"When we decide to destroy a population, we send a definite order to them who have the good things in life and yet sin. So that Allah's word is proven true against them, then we destroy them utterly." (Koran, 17:16-17)

Some of the people who are opposed to stem cell research cite studies that show the use of adult stem cells is better than using embryonic stem cells.
Speak of the Devil, I mean Hitler...Hamas Boasts: Hitler Liked Us
November 2, 1943 Himmler's telegram To the Grand Mufti of Palestine:
"To the Grand Mufti: The National Socialist movement of Greater Germany has, since its inception, inscribed upon its flag the fight against the world Jewry. It has therefore followed with particular sympathy the struggle of freedom-loving Arabs, especially in Palestine, against Jewish interlopers. In the recognition of this enemy and of the common struggle against it lies the firm foundation of the natural alliance that exists between the National Socialist Greater Germany and the freedom-loving Muslims of the whole world. In this spirit I am sending you on the anniversary of the infamous Balfour declaration my hearty greetings and wishes for the successful pursuit of your struggle until the final victory.
Signed: Reichsfuehrer S.S. Heinrich Himmler"

How about the mother, it she going to be able to afford the extra costs to care for a handicapped child?
Strawman argument, axis of stupidity. Despite what your heroes on the left tell you, there's plenty of taxpayer-funded help for the handicapped in this country. Also, there are many charitable organizations that are available.
Funny, isn't it, how these aborting debates always evolve into debates about Hitler...
Please Canadian Mounties, opine.
keefer,
And funny how they try to tag him as a rightist...thing is, to do that reveals a gigantic misconception: this being that there is anything socialistic in nature which is actually good. They want Hitler on the right because they still have hope for Lenin on the left, and so refuse to lump all the anti-human/anti-God into their proper, universal dustbin.
This is from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler's_rise_to_power, but it matches any history of the rise of the Third Reich that I've ever read.
axis,
Or,should I say bible illiterate axis,READ!!!!!
Hebrews10:23-25.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;(for he is faithful that promised;).
And let us consider one another to provoke to love and good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,as the manner of some is;but exhorting one another;and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.
You see axis we are to be like Jesus apostles for they never failed to assemble thmeselves together with him we should also strive to be the same.
We can't help what other's do and when we see they are sinning, all we can do is spread the love of christ to them,it's all up to the individual as to whether or not they want to live a christian life or not and once you receive that truth of Gods love then you should not turn back.
Won't none go with me,then I shall follow,NO TURNING BACK,NO TURNING BACK.
Islam is NOT a "religion of peace". That's a lie.

I might add that there are just as many if not more warmongering statements in the bible.
Stop trying to pin the tail on the donkey. Your problem is with a SMALL group of radical muslims, not all muslims.
If your fight was with all muslims, you would be hooped, with 1.8 Billion of them and only 275 million of you.
Axis, These bladders were cloned from the patients' own cells. No one died. From the above link
-- I know that, but if you think that there are not religious zealots out there that strongly oppose cloning, you are mistaken. Many of these zealots see it as unnatural
Strawman argument, axis of stupidity. Despite what your heroes on the left tell you, there's plenty of taxpayer-funded help for the handicapped in this country. Also, there are many charitable organizations that are available.
-- Funny how so many people die everyday because they lack the insurance to pay for outagously expensive procedures if the help you mention is so readily available.
Try having a heart attack and have the abulance not sure if they should take you to the good hospital or the free one and have you die while they figure out if you are insured or not.
40 million uninsured right now, compared to 18 million when clinton left. They have access to SOME free care, but its not all free and only the free hospitals will care for them, where there are huge waits.

Mark,
No it won't.
Besides, I'd love to hear your alternative. I'm sure you'd love for doctors to turn away someone bleeding to death on the steps of the emergency room, since you obviously are a total piece of shit.

"If your fight wa
