That would be a shame. He's one of the only sane Democrats left in this country that has an elected position.

It's sad in a way. Lieberman played the good soldier in 2000 when he became Gore's running mate.
Lieberman abandoned many of his long-held positions and mouthed the Gore platform, some which were completely opposite of Lieberman's. He let himself become a pawn and a hypocrite in order to remain a good Dem.
Now, the Koz Kids have targeted him, because he supports the Iraq war and the War on Terror. Old Joe should've realized that his eventual reward for being Gore's 2000 token would be a vilification by the controlling interests of the Dem party.
